There’s no way he would have become irrelevant. Old heads like Bill Russell and Kareem who honestly haven’t done much since retiring are still constantly referenced and revered in the NBA. Jordan and Magic who were pretty active post retirement are mentioned all the time. Kobe was looking like he’d be far more active in all sorts of fields post retirement: business, film, books, and of course basketball. Not to mention Gianna would have been a big sensation in the WNBA and Kobe would constantly have been referred to and seen in the crowd during her games. I firmly believe his best act was going to be his next act
When you are historic you will NEVER be irrelevant. Is Barak Obama irrelevant now that he isn't president? Michael Jordan owns a horrible team and hasnt played in decades, he's not irrelevant. Only one hit wonders need to be in the public eye constantly for relevancy.
I came to get some perspective. Everyone is deifying him now that he's dead, and he was a great individual player. But he was also a ball-hogging douche-bag.
“Who do we miss most of all? It’s Kobe the Mamba Bryant.” “Who looked at adversity and never did fall? It’s Kobe the Mamba Bryant.” “Who always had the hottest of game? It’s Kobe the Mamba Bryant.” “And we will always remember the name Kobe the Mamba Bryant.” RIP to all the victims on the helicopter crash. 🙌🏻
ben1ben2ben1 failing and falling are different failing is in the moment falling is letting it manipulate you further. Everyone fails. But the best don’t fall

most dominant center of the 2010s. dpoy, rebounding leader, was an all star many times. Came to LA with a nagging injury, and had all the blame placed on him because Kobe is treated like a corrupt politician in a communist country that everyone is afraid to say anything bad about
this is so ingenious. besides the obvious jokes, I pick up something new every time I watch lol.... the book about world peace from Ron artest, the stickum from dwight, even the kazaam outfit on Shaq lol. very well done!
Let this video serve as a fun reminder of the legend that was #8/#24. There was nobody worthy of passing the torch to. Allow the rest of the world to get the rebound. RIP Kobe.
