Hello, So if i buy this, i dont have to setup a controller, and all emulators games work out of the box ? Because i have only the drive but after more than 10 hours of puzzling i cant get my dualshock 4 to work correctly with a500 games. Sometimes only the d-pad works, and other times it does nothing.

Very nice review, well done! I used the kinhank x2 pro console with a 512GB Micro SD myself, which is pretty much the same Emulationstation-System. Unfortunately very low on power for the newer stuff and it’s not possible to update stuff. So i‘m looking forward to upgrade. I would like to give this little Retrobat a test with my Mini-PC HP800G2 (i6500, 16GB, 1TB) using Win 10. Hoping it will work with PS2, GC and Wii. An even better solution would be a Mini-PC like the Beelink SER5 or Trigkey S5 with the Hyperbase 5TB Launchbox, but at first i would like to give the Retrobat a chance. My questions: Can i put my own roms on the retrobat? Can i update Retroarch, Emulationstation and Cores on the Retrobat? Or is it even possible to copy the whole system to a larger SSD?

@@alanmendoza3742 The potential that it carries viruses, and copy right issues. If it is on a pc that has absolutely no passwords and no internet, you might be ok. But if there are passwords, crypto/credit card info on the pc, or it could sniff packets on your internet or usb devices, or gain access to default router/home_device passwords, or has its own boot drive, you are begging for a world of trouble. It seems [i don't know for sure that they are pirated games, but I believe they are] they already don't care about the IP rights of nintendo, sony, sega, et al, why would they care about your property or privacy rights. Suppose nintendo were to subpoena ali express and amazon [and 300 million john does] for a list of all the buyers of this product, Nintendo might then try to get a court order on these john does to delete the content of their drives or surrender them for destruction [or worse sue the individual buyers for copyright infringement]. I'm not sure how much merit there would be in convincing a court to issue an injunction, and the remedy is in tort [and criminal law] anyways. I would consider the risk of a law suit possible, although it wasn't very profitable nor favorable for the recording industry back in the 2000s. remember nintendo, sony, sega, microsoft, square enix, etc, could easily sell digital licenses on steam or android. knowing the demand exists, as evidence by the success of this product. These drives aren't merely digital copies of the games you already own that might survive an copy right attack via fair use doctrine; They include thousands of games you don't own. It's tempting to buy a HD cause cartridges aren't all that reliable anymore [and where did my original copy of final fantasy go!] (and I don't want to scratch up further any cds I have [any some are still in unopened boxes as I never had time to play them back in the day]) and see what a spare raspberry pi can do, but I don't have much time for games anymore. Also I really wouldn't want to put my name on a buyers list that tells nintendo to sue me...especially for a product i wouldn't have time to use anyways.
