This is Version 2, now with the Game Over screens from Ishin, Judgment and Like a Dragon.
In most games where there is a "Game Over" screen, the ones in the Yakuza/Ryu ga Gotoku series are almost NEVER shown and if they are, then it's due to your character dying in EX-HARD or LEGEND difficulties.
Or in circumstantial situations where it is possible to get a Game Over in those same difficulties...
This clip shows all the Game Over screens in the main line games, and a number of spinoffs (most notably Kenzan!, Ishin!, Hokuto ga Gotoku and Judgment). Since I do not have the Kurohyos, I do not know what those Game Over screens are like.

I didn't know Yakuza games had game over screens. I would just either retry or just close out the game and reload.

The game over screen for Lost Judgment is the same as 6:25, but you won't see the blurred game background. Instead, you'll just see the black background. The word 'Retry' in Judgment gets changed to 'Try Again' in Lost Judgment.

I had only seen Kiwami 2's- I got tiger dropped a few too many times by Komaki and it was late- was not expecting a game over screen and found it funny how Komaki just straight murders Kiryu. Then I realized I hadn't saved since chapter start.

I didn't know this had any Game Over screens. I just either won games or I would just reload from where I got beat and I would level up higher to win next time :).

Ong, like if u lose to a enemy in town, u wouldn't get this game over screen but u lose half of ur money n leave u at 1 hp

I mean,It’s good thing if you asked me. Because you hate this,You have to think twice before do something,Learn enemy weakness(Like how Chinese enemy weak to electric.),Learn to use summon when in peril,don’t be afraid to use item such as grenade and don’t be afraid to throw some buff like Hero’s Vigor or shit like that so you can just avoid have to paid big amounts of money just to retry again!

i think you missed the point, it's kinda like a homage to how arcade games worked in the exact same way. but i do agree that sometimes they charge a bit too much yen for a continue

LAD's game over screen just like PS2 game overs I bet this is obviously intentional, they already have a new version of game over screens just like from 3 to Kiwami 2.

can someone make version 3 of this? now with: Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon Ishin! (2023), Like a Dragon Gaiden and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth. and with missing ones, like: Kurohyou 1 and 2, and Yakuza Dead Souls
