Another Atco Collections video - I guess it's time for another update on my game room. Been a lot of changes this last year. New about 20 1/18 scale diecasts, and the old stereo equipment has left. It's a long video, but it's a good tour of what I have in my room. See ya -- Atco

Your car collection is really good. Those cars remind me of my Grandfather and that brought a smile to my face. Thank you for sharing.

Hi my friend - yeh, lots of changes this year. Almost 2 dozen of diecasts brought in. For the space, what stereo system that was still in the room is gone. Will there be much changes next year, who knows (lol). See ya -- Atco

A nice collection indeed! Last week I went to an estate sale, looked around but didn't really see anything I wanted. Stopped by the last day and went back in, not expecting anything, but went around to a bunch of clocks in one corner. Found a large size 1925 cathedral style Telechron clock, working perfectly. They wanted $12, but got it for $6 because it was the last day!

You have amazing taste ,me I am into old tube radios.of the 1960 ,s couldn't tell you why ,I think our hobbies pick us.,restoring them is fun too and learning about one hobby is the other part .

Hi Ron - What's cool is that a hobby is different for each other. That's why I like looking at people's collections of things. So different. One item you'd never think of keeping something twice, then someone has a full room of them that were picked up over the years. See ya -- Atco

Very nice mini museum, and free admission at that! A nice addition for the military area could be some ww2 or VN radios and head appairral. There are many valuables in there too. You did a very nice job Mr ATCO. Cherio, Don

Hi Don - You know, there are other family people that got a lot of both my Dad's military stuff and my Father-in-law as well. Don't know where much of that stuff is or even still in the family anymore. But for me, it's the memory of them that means the most to me. My little corner to display is small, but it does the job that keeps the memory in my game room for my Dad and Father-in-law in the time they were there when our country needed them. Thanks for your comment on my tour! See ya -- Atco

What would wifie have in her mini museum? Kitchen gadgets, vacuums, sewing, cosmedics, PURSES, shoes, nicknacks, decor, lamps, books, games, hmmm, a ladies version could be fun too.

@5.15 what are the things at the far left end of that shelf? I was borned in 76. I loved all the untold stories from seniors like you. You should put these as a sneak peak to the past in a museum or a showcase for youngster that never seen history. My bow and salute for your service and your father as well for these great country.

Hi Tr1bes - I believe what you are looking at on the left of a transistor radio is a 9volt battery. The reason I have that on the shelf is that in the early 60s transistor radios and batteries were very expensive. Then somewhere in the 60s all these Hong Kong transistor radios and batteries came out at cheap prices. The radios were not very good, but the batteries were not that bad and you could get a 9volt battery for 25% of the price of what a normal battery like an Eveready battery. They sure had funny brands though. This one on my shelf brand was "Flying Bomb". They were all weird brands like that, but they were cheap. Guess it's like the Chinese stuff today. can't get it made in the US anymore. I do have a lot of views from people much younger than me. It's fun when younger people like to see what the technology was in another time. I've done a couple shows at a library of my stuff. Most kids don't care much of the history stuff, but then you get a kid or two who is just 10 years old or younger that is interested to see what current technology was in the past. I've had a ball talking to kids who are interested in hearing that. Thanks for your comment of our family service! See ya -- Atco

Oh man, I wonder how much stuff I'd have in my house if I lived by myself. Fortunately, 15 years ago the wife said I could keep stuff and collect things as long as nothing is kept except this one room. Well. I've kept my part of it, and as you can see it is full! I've had a lot of fun with it! See ya -- Atco

Hey Atco. What made you decide to collect things like old cameras, film projectors, personnal size tape players, old model cars, juke box, 8-track tapes, vintage pinball machines, etc.? :)
@atco21117
@atco21117 5 лет назад
Hi Mark - Why do I collect all that old stuff? Hmm... kinda wonder that myself. But, my guess most is that when I was young, my family was happy, but money was always tough to have. Didn't get many toys like other friends did. Yet, it never seemed to bother me much, but I guess deep inside of my mind it did. Well, now I have the chance to have those things I wish I had back in the past. Don't do much with them now, but knowing that they are in my game room, it makes me feel good. Mind is a weird thing, huh? Thanks for your comment Mark! See ya -- Atco
