White hat "hackers" are a legitimate job. Large companies and corperations (and some small businesses) hire these "hackers" or pen-testers to try and hack into their system to find the security flaws. Fairly well paid too.

Good thing my computer is so slow, it took about 5 minutes just to buffer this video. No hacker will be able to withstand this level of lag. And oh man, just think about all those guys who'll try to brute-force me. And then when they realize that sometimes, my computer just randomly shuts off on its own because I have to tilt my hard drive every now and then cause some of the connectors are broken. And I have one of those really old tracfones that's literally a brick. The ones where you have to press 4 times just to text a number. I'm like the most hacker safe person in the world, if I do say so myself. ... I need to upgrade, but my parents won't get me anything good T - T.

Another thing to mention with the random USB drives, there exists some that will literally fry your computer's motherboard in a matter of seconds once you plug it in. Do not trust random USB drives that you find.

I had a personal experience with a Pineapple wifi. I was in London subway way underground where wifi would be basically impossible, and I found my found had located a wifi despite moving at high speeds way underground. I thought it was weird immediately, warned my friends and switched off wifi and mobile data on my phone. All thanks to information from your video, I didn't get my phone hacked. So, like, thanks.

Depending on your company you shouldn't just hammer the USB flash drive. It could be a targeted attack say, if you work at a military industrial contractor. Your IT/security teams should be able to determine validity of the drive and potentially use it to secure against future attacks via the same method.

It's actually disturbingly easy to do something like that, because many devices use a default password and most people are either too lazy to change them or do not even realize they have one or are able to. What this results in is situations like this and like the Mirai botnet from back in 2016. If people were more vigilant about patching all their internet-connected devices this would be much less of a concern. The Equifax breach last year occurred because Equifax did not apply security patches to their machines, meaning it was trivial for any experienced hacker to just Google an exploit for an unpatched known vulnerability, and gain access.

+SirAdolf E: Plug it into an isolated, air gapped computer (a honeypot) on a separate network connection (or no connection if you are really paranoid) using TAILS (This is a Snowden Approved Linux OS which does not even touch the harddrive but operates in a RAM Filesystem which is wiped clean after shut down leaving zero traces of its activity behind.) and examine its contents. (I would normally say use a VM but now malware has the ability to evade and escape VMs.)

I have an uncle who's pretty skilled in looking at computers, codes, ect. He's inspired me to want to be a white hat hacker, plus that *serious bank* . Btw, there are three types of hat hackers-- White hat hackers are the type that are hired for companies and they hack into the companies and tell the companies where the weak and vulnerable parts of the "prevention" to threatening hackers, Grey hat hackers usually do the same thing (They're a mixture of white and black hat hackers). They often hack through peoples servers without their permission (which is illegal) and tell the owner what is wrong without them knowing something was wrong. Black hat hackers (The worst ones), are mainly just there to hack through servers and steal valuable information (credit cards numbers, identities, ect.).

The fandom is mostly young children (and yes that can become very tedious and annoying) but FNAF is a respectable franchise with a facinating story behind it. It's a shame that a horror game with such deep story telling is being pandered down to kids. I'm not sure if kids were Scott Cawthan's original target audience. we had a professional hacker come to our school and hacked into some of the kids phones then told us the university he went to learn this stuff. Then again we had a pyroscientist come and set of fireworks inside the hall. And told how to effectively stab someone when we were in s1. And had people from forensics give us a talk and let us look at and old case and the evidence.... And this is why my school is amazing butttt sometimes kinda weird.

It takes two weeks for him to make these kinds of videos. He has to research, write and record the theory. Then get his editors to add pictures, animations and footage. Finally it all has to be put together so give him some time then he can make a much better theory than if he rushed.

Seeing this episode made me smile. Just a couple corrections from a security professional: Rubber duckies are expensive and uncommon. You're more likely to run into a war-drive, otherwise known as bait. A flashdrive with malware on it. Second, the wi-fi pineapple was developed before watchdogs was even a concept. Apt description though. Third, Norse's attack map is fraudulent. It's actually a program that draws its map based on volume of internet traffic, regardless of whether the traffic is legitimate or not. Loved the episode, MatPat :)

they can hack you even if your phone has wi-fi off , on airplane mode , iseing vpn , using tor , all at the same time while in sahara , of corse it will be a bit harder but it's still vulnerable , the single 3 ways of not getting your device hacked are : 1. keeping it in a multi-layerd box of all materials that block data and radiation and these stuff 2.destroy it 3.turn it off and take your battery away
