That was top notch though, I kind of think he purposefully dropped hints in the edits for comedic impact, because it was really smooth in a lot of cuts.
After this I went and watched Clanker Man. The mix of comedy and oppressiveness is right up my alley. Clever concept, the pseudo documentary feels believable and the overall weirdness leaves me with many questions to mull over. Good short film

I'm quite happy that I have discovered this gem of a channel recently. For a couple of years I've been through all the wonderful stuff Ashens (Stuart Ashen) reviews on his channel, and nearly died on the "Everything Is Always Fine: Violin" bit, but somehow I hadn't found Barshens until some weeks ago. More excllent time to waste on RU-vid coming up then!
Somebody, somewhere, please give Barry a load of 1980's videos, and the first three Star Wars movies. - the poor lad's obviously missed out on the classics.
3:08 - the *only* way what Barry says here makes sense is if he means 'thank you' in German - 'danke' - while also being said when really cold. Maybe? Otherwise, I got nothing.
To be fair to Barry, there was a scene in "Top Gun" where Goose plays a piano in a bar while his wife and Tom Cruise are having a conversation at the table behind him
Another quality episode of Barshens and a shameless plug for an excellent and funny film. Barry was definitely robbed though. Need more back to the future references for him to win.

Damn, I've never even seen The Goonies and even I knew that one. Also - to be fair to Eli, I've seen Clankerman and started watching GameChild and... Clankerman simply is on a whole different level. Although it of course isn't too nice to publicly state that one has fallen asleep during a friend's movie. ;)
This is one of the best recent episodes. (Not that there are any bad episodes mind you) They should be stoned/drunk more often. Everyone was so happy and silly! :D

gamechild was the 2nd best youtuber movie ive seen but as usual for the genre suffered greatly from being primarily a hodge podge of references to better films - which as RLM has pointed out is one of the worst things a b movie can do because it reminds you you could be watching something much better. like clankerman. it certainly isnt a sin against cinema like channel awesomes films but it seems bizarre youd avoid writing your biggest project. also relying heavily on it being a buddy picture with chef excellence was one note that droned on for an hour and a half. id give it about a 3/10 i guess - which is far far better than other youtuber movies, but doesn't exactly inspire me to contribute to crowdfunding for more. that said the simon peg bit was truly excellent, even if i saw it coming a mile away, and the warwick davis cameo was inspired. i should also point out the fact that not every person here got every reference is proof that you shouldnt have done it. who is the audience for it? ashens himself? i understood the refences and i gave it a 3 out of 10. :/ but hey i guess thats why hes a youtuber and simon peg is the filmmaker, and as an extended youtube video it is excellent, so that is how Ill choose to view it.
