Nobody believes me but I have played this game on the n64 and it said my name and then my n64 shut down and it wouldn't turn back on then the next day I couldn't find the game in a month.
What if its actually like this inside of the game cartridge, dark, empty with only a single resident until someone turns the game on. I wonder what would of happened if the wanderer decided to jump into one of the paintings.
I love this. maybe all the gamerooms levels are just what happens when people turn the game off. when the game gets turned off, it turns to night and everything disappears. if this is the theory, i wonder what would happen if someone turns the game on while someone is in the gamerooms?
this honestly just made me wish we had an actual Princess Peach's castle we could explore, Like Universal Studios, I would love to explore it and its liminal spacery :P
The bad thing is, the castle makes no sense. The inside is longer or bigger than the outside. So the castle will have to be bigger, or the inside will need to be smaller. Or there will be no inside at all.
I always found it to be wierd how there is no music outside of the castle. My guess is that it was either done on purpose or that it was because of limitations. Anyway this is one of my favourite found footage videos here on youtube.
The reason theres no music is so the player can get used to the 3d controls without getting stressed out. Thats why you dont hear that bowser kidnapped the princess untill after navigating into the castle. The outside of the castle is meant to be a area where agency doesnt exsist.
If there was a Mario 64 themed liminal space in the Backrooms. I’m not talking about the fandom backroom levels. Specifically I’m talking about Kane Pixel’s iteration of the Backrooms.
