I am so proud of Futaba, she is just amazing. This shows just how much she changed from defeating her Palace. Again, I'm proud of my little hacking sister. Edit: Along with how much Sojiro loves her as his own. ^w^
I'm just glad she was able to recover, interesting timing though. still after what she went through thanks to those a holes makes me want to do shadow assassinations myself to blame Wakaba's murder on her was out of line and unforgivable
@@aaron75fy I've seen a theory recently that might make things even worse.... It's stated that Wakaba never talked about Futaba's father, and then she is eventually forced into committing suicide. Sound similar to another character's backstory? It's almost identical to *AKECHI'S* backstory! Akechi's mother refused to talk about his father either and Akechi's mother eventually committed suicide herself. And there's also the tiny little detail that Futaba and Akechi have the exact same (and very rare) blood type of AB- ....which means that it's very possible that *SHIDO* isn't just *Akechi's* father, but also *Futaba's* father as well, meaning Futaba might be Akechi's half-sister! And this would also explain how Shido found out about Wakaba's research as well, if he happened to have had a short-lived relationship with Wakaba that eventually led to Futaba being born....it would also fit with how Shido couldn't care less about anyone other than himself....not even concerning his own child(ren), to the point that he doesn't even have qualms about trying to destroy their lives or even cause their deaths (as Futaba *will* commit suicide if you fail to complete her Palace by the deadline, and he has Akechi shot by his cognitive version of Akechi).
@@gamester512 I have a fact that might make your theory choke, Wakaba didn't commit suicide. Akechi assassinated her shadow and made her have a mental shutdown how do I know? Futaba recognized the symtoms and said it was the same as her mother during the Okumura arc now you can go back to whoever made that bad theory and tell them to get their facts straight
@@aaron75fy No, I know that Wakaba's death was murder. I'm just saying what her death was "ruled" to be, as her death wasn't discovered to have been *murder* until you hear more about it from Sojiro and in Futaba's Palace. But it all makes sense if you think about it. Akechi's mom could have had the same thing done to her that was done to Wakaba because she might be a potential problem if she ever exposed Shido's "extramarital affair" with her (Akechi was much less of a threat since he was "just an orphan", at least as far as the public was concerned), so he had someone kill her Shadow in the Metaverse (likely some faceless "pawn" who was later "disposed of" by Shido once Akechi came into the picture) to force her to commit "suicide" as a way to make sure she "kept quiet". And if Shido was also Futaba's father, it would explain how he knew about Cognitive Psience & the Metaverse as he would very likely have learned about the research she was doing on it, and then when Wakaba refused to give him her research, he had Akechi kill her so that he could just take it for himself. Also, blood types are pretty big in Japan, kinda like how Zodiac signs are important in other parts of the world, so Akechi & Futaba having the same *rare* blood type is most likely *not* a coincidence either.
This is one of the scenes that show that Sojiro cares more than he tells you. He’s a good man. He cares for his adoptive daughter and his friend’s child that’s under probation.
Man, moments like these make me wish I could go into the TV, and give these characters a shoulder to cry on, a buddy to laugh with, and a hug to comfort. Futaba and Sojiro are two such characters because of how much they went through.
@@AstralMuffin105 He eventually starts doing it around Joker as well. Once he knows that Joker is a good kid who just got in over his head, and that he's a kid who only wants to help people, Sojiro starts to treat him like he's his own son. Sojiro may not have blood ties to Joker or Futaba, but that doesn't change the fact that they're "his kids". Hell, speaking of Joker, I wouldn't even be surprised to see him end up following a similar path in life to Makoto, where he somehow gets involved with law enforcement as either a police officer or as an attorney like Sae, or perhaps as a "tribute" to Akechi, he might even become a private detective once the team has "retired" from their Phantom Thief duties.
The reason why Bittersweet Gamers are the only ones not getting even a little bit emotional or serious is because they stay on the meta stage of the game and constantly try to predict things by coming up with theories. I must say I don't really enjoy that. Edit: Excluding Kagato, I guess.
@@FantasyDepression I only went with what I had seen from them, which was not that much. By now I recognized, that they do get emotional when appropriate.
It was never said that they were lovers, only friends. Sure, he was close enough to Wakaba that he knew Futaba and was able to become her Guardian, but if there was anything more to their relationship, Sojiro definitely would have told us as much when he told us about Futaba's past (or we would have overheard an implication of it from Sae earlier in the game)....and Sojiro would have had a stronger claim to custody over Futaba if he and Wakaba *had* gotten together, as then he would have been Futaba's step-father by marriage (and thus, he would be better able to deal with Futaba's scumbag of an uncle), but as far as the law is concerned he's merely her "Guardian". His memorial isn't all that different from the concept of "To Absent Friends", the tribute is made to honor their memory, but that doesn't necessarily mean they were tied by blood or marriage, only that they were close enough friends that the person chooses to make that tribute. It's in the same vein as if someone were to make a habit of visiting a loved one's grave on their birthday or the anniversary of their death. Though, at least in the anime, Sojiro is rewarded for his devotion to Futaba when she stands up for him to CPS workers and even outright calls him her "dad" (which makes Sojiro visibly start to tear up).
Have you done the part with Anne Takamaki saying that Kamoshida's "change of heart" is worse than death? It is a scene right after his confession in the gym.
Love these compilations =). I've no idea if this has been suggested yet, but what about their reaction to romancing a character? You could include their first choice and if they've gone down the "Harem Route", the consequences of just that. Although, I'm not sure about actual reactions, because I've only seen Full Fantasy Peasant's, which inspired this suggestion. =)
You do god's work. Bless you and your videos. As a side note, are you going to do any P5R videos? I, for one, would like a warning cause I'm waiting till the English release.
Would it be possible to get reactions from P4G? I do know that some of them did play that game afterward. But I don't know if it would still come out as good as your previous compilations
