when i heard the audio bugs with the red haired lady, it made me wonder if she was actually voiced by a 60 year old man and the glitch was un modifying his voice
This game got so much shit that the devs literally took it down from Steam, relisted it as "Vendetta - Curse of Raven's Cry", and is now faking positive reviews. If we all flag this product, we can take this shit-stain off of Steam.
The part were the voices started messing up has to be the best part about this game Like when Chris was talking to the guy and woman, Chris literally sounded like the scariest pimp to ever come into existence These people have the best range known to man, i would like to see the musical performance done with these people, it would be perfect
"Youre costing me money!" Demon Christopher: "Youre going to lose more than money if you don't shut up and listen to me!" *splashes Holy water on my laptop*
Not just me then. It's like the core sound files became partially corrupted at some point but the devs just went, fuck it. It'll do. And by all that is Exorcist it works!
What you were saying about Steam Greenlight sounds a lot like the video game industry pre 1983. Back then anyone could make video games and there was no quality control. There was a game called Chase the Chuck Wagon which was made by Purina, who make dog food (and did even then).
Yeap. And that little Controll it has, gets shat on by Steamgroups that Upvote Games, not because there good, but because the Devs gift them Free shit.
This pirate game is not the only one being worse. There is a bad franchise that is about pirates. It's called Risen, and I played that game and it was terrible.
Small studio or not, developers of this game have *NO* right to ask for 55$. It's *very* crude to ask for so much money, no no screw that! It's downright insulting! They wouldn't even have right to ask for 20$! I feel sorry for you DX, I know that it won't happen, but I hope that they'll give you refund. What a buncha cheap a$$holes!
Joey Ford I'm sorry, that I couldn't stop you, before you bought it. :( You wasted your money for nothing! You could've used them on alcohol or anything else. Action 52 is absolutely *not worth it*.
They look the same, on top of which this game looks like the a shitty rip off of Assassin's Creed. And....to top it all off, Chris Raven seems to be looking at the FUCKING ground during ALL of the cutscenes. The entire time. This game is un-fucking believable.
A poor man's Assassin's Creed. And while Assassin's Creed is still not the most stellar game in the world, it can still kick the shit out of Raven's Cry anytime!
Even living in a world where internet is a great way to look for reviews in games that casts doubt in gamers, its an insult to allow these "scam games" on sell because there will be always someone who will unsuspectly buy the game since there are these jokers that only allow good reviews on Steam and can still deceive someone in the future after the "dust settles" on its controversies in the quality of them. Even after all this, i still believe that sooner or later, Steam will start a Quality Control, Refunding and Steam Greenlight is an evidence of that even if still presents serious flaws, that they tried something to filter videogames that had real effort from bullshits to "steal" your money. Mounting unrest of the customers will eventually force them to do it.
I don't know what's worse now, this or Ride to Hell Retribution. Well, just pray that it eventually gets taken off of Steam, because Ride to Hell got removed from the store.
CGB Dumping Ground Man, what are you on about? My reply is a quote from the game. Perhaps the funniest scene where the audio takes a shit on itself. My bad if it came off as offensive, I thought you'd recognize it.
DXFan619 Oh I see... I haven't played the game myself so I wouldn't know, I was trying to save it as a surprise for later when I can get it cheap. I apologize for my outburst It's just that believe it or not there are people on the internet that are like that.
@@theunderused6112 They didn't try to take down anime games, they considered it but then ended up saying "No we shouldn't control what our users play."
Didn't this happen with Day One Garry's Incident, The Slaughtering Grounds and more? I remember Jim Sterling was made fun of on Steam's forums for posting his review and the developer/publisher threw a temper tantrum and acted like a fucking child. Steam REALLY needs quality control jfc
Hate me if you will, but I just bought Vendetta: Curse of Raven's Cry just to see how bad it is. Thankfully I only paid less than $20 in Australian dollars for it. Although it still seems like too much. Edit: Okay I just looked up the console commands and what I saw shocked me. To activate cheats, go into the console window using ~ and type in "RavensCryCheats" and then say "ThisIsGreatGame"... I'm not joking.
@@klokateer4372 Funny enough, I ended up refunding it but later I just so happened to get a key for it in a Fanatical mystery bundle. So I ended up paying less than a dollar.
i just realized this a rip off of two games the witcher and assassins creed black flag and the freaking audio glitch from just cause 2 was more acceptable then the one on R.C and im not saying the name of the game
I agree with what you said about Steam. But I mean, Steam has other issues besides what you just said, like how Steam is becoming more of a corporation at this point and soon it'll become a Monopoly. Steam is more or less just a middleman now. Also the reason they don't have 'Quality Control' is because they just want more and more games up for sale so they can maximize profits. They don't care about how bad the game is if people are buying it. I'll still use Steam but I trust Gabe as far as I can throw him.
around 6:00 did they steal those noises from ocarina of time? the birds chirping? i distinctly remember those sounds from night time runnin through hyrule field.
DXFan619! the beginning of the video make me had LOTS of questions about the Voice acting... WTF!? is this going to be a thing after Rambo the Video Game!?
DXFan619 Just shows how many people actually have access to greenlight. I could probably take a shit, take a picture of it, put it in unity and sell it for $20 on steam. And Valve wouldn't give a single fuck
Never saw this game until seing this review, I think I will laugh my lungs out playing this xD I think that some bugs look like the main character is way too drunk and simply doesn't hear anything and him talking to the guy that didn't spawn almost killed me, This game should be called "Intoxicated pirate fantasy simulator" because that is what it looks like. Amazing review man, thumbs up well deserved and thanks for sharing this gem xD !
It's interesting that Topware also published Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator in Europe (The game was published by Monolith Productions and developed by Valkyre Studios). It's availible at Steam and GOG.com for 5 euros. I think Topware also bought Zuxxez Entertainment, Reality Pump's older publisher hence games like Earth 2150 and Heli Heroes (which both are mediocre at best) are also on their catalog. I wasn't expecting Reality Pump to be this bad.
I thought at the table scene he was talking to the dude in the corner. Lol. Till you told me the character is missing. And why are the birds so loud in some scenes?
It looks like the developers wanted to remake Armada of the Damned, that canceled Pirates of the Caribbean game. By digging up it's corpse, chopping it to pieces, then glueing them all back together to sell it for full price. Edit: Don't forget that this game was supposed to be released in 2012.
Omg, DXFan, you have to upload the scene with the fucked up audio where Christopher stabs the dude in the hand and interrogates the chick as a standalone video. I have rewatched that part so many times, he sounds like a friggin demon. I never saw glitches in Jim Sterling's video on it and I am truly thankful that you experienced that glitch.
Remilia Harlet I think I got rid of the footage, but that was the only part where it glitched anyways. That shit was pretty fucking crazy. He sounds possessed.
Is steam just as bad in 2020? Just curious because nobody hasn't said anything about steam. Since project greenlight got dropped by steam. Did they get there shit together or not. Kind of wondering.
I don't think it's unfair to compare large triple-A game to smaller less funded game if they are asking the price of triple-A game when the quality is not triple-A game or even anywhere near the consept of quality at all
Notice how Steam only got this lax after most competition was wiped out? The only other major distribution platform is GoG, such is the extent of Steam's monopoly.
