Say what you want about the last 3 seasons this was TV at its best , it was an event week in and week out , and I love it and always will , I’m not one of these bitches who can’t watch the show because of the last season ...
@@SpecialOrder_937 glad you are. It really sucks to buy 6 seasons on DVD. Physical. and then be so disappointed that you may as well throw them away. I actually envy you
@@pain002 Season 6 began the down fall it is true , but that season also had some of the most satisfying moments, season 7 was the most visually stunning ( but it was style over substance) season 8 was like taking an arrow to the knee from a 10 year old Dothraki 🤣 the show will always be in my heart
When winter comes for war, You shall hear no Lions roar. When winter forces you to yield, No Stags shall graze upon the field. When winter creeps upon you from the shadows, No Roses shall bloom from the meadows. When winter wreaks havoc on the land, You can bet there'll be no Snakes in the sand. When winter brings to life all it finds grim, The Krakens will freeze where they swim. When winter sets and the land begins to shiver, The Flayed Man will start to rot and wither. When winter fights to the last sliver, No more Trouts shall swim in the river. When winter ravages and all despair, No Falcons shall fly high in the air. I mean it was sad and all but the HOLE Literatur history? I mean that is a LOT. You still have to count every form of literature that was ever written and man the japenese stuff very emotional and you even have to Count stuff like jesus. Many people cried after his death
The fact that the series concluded on Jon's story is kinda powerful and says a lot about how much of a hero he was, in a tragic way. Killed the woman he loved to save the lives of thousands of innocents and ended up completely disgraced for it. Left his family and all that. At least Jon's back in the one place he had the most solace, where he met his first love. He'll heal up there. The wildlings respect and accept him and he's got Tormund and Ghost, Jon will be alright.
Stannis The Mannis ok but then what was the point of revealing his true identity? It had no effect on the story or any purpose other than to create drama between him and daenerys. It didn’t actually affect the story at all. And then why was he brought back to life? What was he brought back to do? To just stand around in season 8 and not do anything?
@@dandelionwine8871 I can see what you mean, but I do think he loved her, it was just written incredibly badly and rushed. He initiated a shack up with her in the boat, Jon started it, that said a lot.
lonutzz wht do they really rule though Wht did any of them win as much as they lost... Their were no winners i think Sansa lost a huge part of her childhood and her parents and brother Bran lost his ability to walk and his parents and brother Arya lost her guides as well as her parents friends and brother Jon lost two lovers, his life, armies of men women and children Everyone lost
@@dylangintherofficial Interesting comment about Jon, Sansa and Arya but the Starks won The Game by gaining their justice that they deserved and they did it by forgiving their most bitter enemies the Lannisters for all their crimes compared to Dany who turned out to be the biggest looser in that rushed mess of S8 who started to see everyone in Westeros as her enemy just like her father, in other word the Targaryens defeated themselves by missusing their moto Fire and Blood compared to the Starks which no matter of their heavy losses they still manged to gain their strenght throught Love and Passion which directly reflects Fire and Blood
I can see Cat, Ned, Robb and even little Rickon so clearly when I hear this theme. I can see all the starks in that very first episode man, ugh. It hurts my heart!
Well, Ghost was apart from the other wolves, and he is the only one who is still alive and with his owner (I'm not counting Nymeria because she isn't with Arya any longer)

R.I.P. Ned, Catelyn, Robb, Talisa, Benjen, Rickon, Lyanna, Grey Wind, Summer, Lady, Shaggydog. We know no king but the King in the North whose name is Stark.
Pay attention to the song. It starts very mysterious, like the Starks always have been. Then it turns for the worst, it becomes really sad and depressing. Then we have an cheerfull and victorious ending. The winter has come, and the time of the wolves is here.
***** 'Then we have an cheerfull and victorious ending'. I'm not sure where you got that from in the end; from 8:40 on it sounds completely like "pyrrhic victory" to me. The ending for the Starks will be bittersweet at best, and Westeros will be consumed by depression. George R.R. Martin likes to think himself a realist, but he's really a cynic.
A Space Butterfly Eddard Stark the Lord of winterfell, warden of the north supported Stannis' claim to the throne before his death. Its no wonder why the north supports Stannis
BoBo Bo i dont think the North supports Stannis at all. More like "your enemy is my enemy so why not fight this enemy together?" when it comes to the Boltons and Freys. The only throne the North cares for is seated in Winterfell, not Kings Landing.
A Space Butterfly Bear Island knows NO king, but the king in the North"-Lyanna Mormont. "[Stannis] remains your king, not our own."-Robbett Glover If it was so stupid, why are they still pushing for it? The reason why some Northmen march with Stannis is for House Stark and Winterfell, nothing to do with the Iron Throne.
A Space Butterfly Declaring independence was not a mistake, they initially had the men to pull it off. It was trusting Walder Frey and Balon Greyjoy and executing Rickard Karstark that resulted in one of the most colossal, imbecilic clusterfucks The North had ever seen.
This theme makes me wanna cry every time I hear it, it just tells you the suffering and torture the starks have been through, but also means the Starks are still strong, and that nothing can break them, I miss you Ned and catelyn Stark..
Me too and I found an interesting fact about the Starks, they won the Game of Thrones with love and passion which kind of serves as a positive reflection to the Targaryen word Fire and Blood
This orchestra portrays the Starks so well, you can feel their strength, their suffering, loss, love, companionship, fear, hate, anger and just their will to keep going. Ramin djawadi is incredible at doing this for the characters. The Lannister theme does well for their personalities too.
i think so to, he doesn’t have to be close to all of them for him to be considered family. he was loyal to them; he died for them. he should be remembered not for the one who holds the door shut but the person who saved Bran
"Robb is gone, but house Stark is not." "I am a stark, I will always be a stark." "My name is Brandon Stark, Brandon Stark of Winter fell." "I'm not a Stark." "You are to me." "My name is Arya Stark, and I'm going home." Winter has Come. This is a time for wolves.

@@ghazanfaralishahsyed1082 He's more of a Stark than a Targaryen...he has Stark's blood and grows with Starks under Lord Eddard Stark which makes him a Stark anyways and same with Theon
Jiggy Jam Somewhat. But remember that the Starks attached to them to not die necessarily. I believe that the wolves are the connection to the Stark heritage; when they lose them, they become something other... Like a faceless man for Arya or, progressively, a schemer for Sansa.
Silviu Anton Yeah, but the point was that everyone focuses on the simultaneous demises of Robb and Grey Wind, while forgetting other characters have lived for a while without them. Plus, if Jon is actualy dead, and Ghost not, kinda invalidates any deep connection.
4:27 "This is Jon Snow. Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, The Reborn, The Savior of Hardhome, The Bravest of the Crows, The Unifier of the North, The Protecter of the North, Ally to the Free Folk, Slayer of the Night Walkers, keeper of vows, the white wolf, and the King of the North"- What Ser Davos should've said after Dany's introduction
Jon the fourth of his name, King in the North, King of Winter, King of the First Men, Lord of Winterfell, Protector of the Wolfswood and Protector of the Realm. That would be his offical regnal title as King in the North.
He probably went on to become a whyte after he was killed holding the door. He must have been one of the dead marching on winterfell during the long night. Messes your memory of Hodor doesn't it?
Hodor may not have noble blood as the starks. However, he and the starks have the blood of the first men who protected the north for thousands of years ago till Aegon conquests.
Eddard Stark: killed Catelyn Stark: killed Robb Stark: killed Rickon Stark: killed Brandon Stark: has become the three eyed raven, has lost his legs' movement after push by Jaime Lannister off the tower Arya Stark: has become a girl with no name, killed the night king Sansa Stark: has been raped and abused by Joffrey Baratheon and Ramsay Bolton Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen: true heir to the Iron Throne, has been stabbed in the heart but came out alive Damn House Stark has a dark history. It is also my favorite house
that's good explanation for others but are you sure about sansa just raped by someones ? she learned from lannisters she learned from boltons she learned from starks she learned from littlefinger and she became very experienced woman
It took me 3 years to finally give myself the chance to watch even the first episode. Now, 2 years later, I've seen every episode at least 3 times, withing a few months. Season 6, Ep. 9 is now in my top 3 episodes.
When winter comes... You'll hear no lions roar... No stags grazing the fields... No roses growing in the meadows... No snakes in the sand... The krakens will freeze where they swim... The flayed men will rot and wither... No trouts swimming in the river and no falcons flying in the air... Not even the dragons breath will warm you in your halls. Only the wolfs howl in the night... Winter is coming
Kelz !! "The flames crackled softly, and in their crackling she heard the whispered name Jon Snow. His long face floated before her, limned in tongues of red and orange, appearing and disappearing again, a shadow half- seen behind a fluttering curtain. Now he was a man, now a wolf, now a man again. But the skulls were here as well, the skulls were all around him. Skulls. A thousand skulls, and the bastard boy again. Jon Snow...Yet now she could not even seem to find her king. I pray for a glimpse of Azor Ahai, and R’hllor shows me only Snow." Melisandres Thoughts
***** Those words are from the book. You can easily look it up. It's important that she isn't asking the flames to show her Stannis specifically, but asking for Azor Ahai.
Jake Harris My favourite house was honestly House Lannister. Tywin was single-handedly the best character in the show, and with Tyrion backing Tywin whenever he was absent (such as defending King's Landing), they were unbelievably strong. Now with those two either dead or not serving House Lannister any longer, they are sure to fail.
This doesn't apply to people reading the books to be honest, you never really get a sense of favouritism and the story never seems to concentrate on any one family
***** In the books, the main characters are Jon, Dany and Tyrion. They have the most POV chapters. But indeed, in the 'second circle' of POV characters, there are mainly starks: Arya, Bran, Catelyn and Ned (in the first book) but also people like Sam Tarly, Theon and Victarion Greyjoy (who's got a lot of povs in books 4 and 5). But indeed, GRRM kinda likes the Starks
TwoFistsOneHalleluja Actually the last book was originally going to be called "A Time for Wolves" before being renamed to "A Dream of Spring". "The Winds of Winter", as far as we know, was always going to be named that way.
jordan smith whether it does or not, the starks' story was the first that was introduced to us in the show, and developed a sense of being the main characters to the audience. They were/are good people. I liked them because of it. Within the first couple episodes the lannisters are shown to be bad people, and after king baratheon died their image plummeted further. and we all deeply empathized with the starks when ned was executed. so its just the emotional attachment I felt for the starks and the fact they were the first to be introduced into the GOT world, makes me feel like they are the main characters. (and I am still hoping to see some kind of stark vengeance on the lannisters)
Love how the music almost fades into nonexistence but then picks up stronger than before. Kind of like the Starks. Perfect score for the Starks just like Blood of my Blood is perfect for the Targaryens. Filled with wonder, power, and grandiosity. Ramin did an excellent job with the score for this show. They should give him Tyrion's deal. Whatever they're paying him, double it.
The ending we wanted - In the name of Jon Snow, King Aegon of the House Targaryen, Sixth of His Name, King of the Andals, the Rhonyar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and the Protector of the Realm, The Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, The White Wolf, The King in the North, The Azhor Azhai, The Last Hero, The Prince Who Was Promised. Long May He Reign......
@@Ruger34 Robb died in the books too except his Mother Catylen is resurrected and then goes on a revenge killing spree and she’s now called lady stone heart. They didn’t implement that into the show. In the books Jon Snow is also murdered by the nights watch men but the books aren’t finished so we don’t see him resurrected in the books but he will be if Martin ever finishes the books.
Except not really, Rob's dead, Arya's sailed to America, Jon's gone, bran's a regal tree and Sansa's and any of her children will die in the inevitable war that comes from one family ruling two independent kingdoms, oh and what about Tyrions claim on Winterfell
Just like wolf packs are extremely successful in nature when working together. Starks strength, something that Lannisters and Tywin, for example, couldn't achieve were loyalty and devotion to each other that paid back in the end.
Rob - calls the banners. Jon - King in the north Bran - rules the kingdoms Sansa - Queen in the north Ned and Cat - smiles from the heavens Arya - sails off to “ West “ of Westeros Starks did it , Damn you Bastards made us cry for that.
***** spoiler she should recover after a while, after she learns that she's a warg, cats are involved in making up for her eyesight until she regains it.
“It's just a stupid sword," she said, aloud this time..." ...but it wasn't. "Needle was Robb and Bran and Rickon, her mother and her father, even Sansa. Needle was Winterfell's grey walls, and the laughter of its people. Needle was the summer snows, Old Nan's stories, the heart tree with its red leaves and scary face, the warm earthy smell of the glass gardens, the sound of the north wind rattling the shutters of her room. Needle was Jon Snow's smile. He used to mess my hair and call me "little sister", she remembered, and suddenly there were tears in her eyes.” - Thoughts of Arya Stark from A Feast for Crows
There´s so much sadness in this theme. It almost makes me cry. The Starks where so "innocent" compared to the other houses. Ned never wanted to be Hand of the King. They all deserved so much better :(
Let's say this generation of starks. Ned was a very honourable man and did not have the wolfs blood like his brother. The kibgs of winter did some serious badass and savage stuff. Torrhen stark sailing to Andalos comes to mind.

Samwell Tarley Hope so. Never know what the show might do. Im 100 percent sure in the books at least he's going to come back, I don't know. Just for the time being, he's dead.
Lmao as if Arya is going to be queen of the new world what kind of retard thinks that's what's implied? Jesus christ some people. She literally said she never wants to rule, or else she would have accepted Gendry's offer.
Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz Yes Bran is a tree but I will return with Jon who will be legitimised and the North will come down upon the Lannisters, Boltons, Freys and all other's who wronged us.
SPOILERS I think GRRM makes an epilogue that's where we might see Rickon, as a ruler of the North. Bran's development is such that he will not be a ruler (not just his physical disability). And I think that Jon Snow (if he survives) is meant for greater things than ruler of the North. Sadly, I think that he will be killed (maybe not in the next book, but definitely by the saga ends).
I can’t even describe how perfect the Stark theme is. It makes my eyes water every time I hear it. It’s not just that it’s melancholic; in fact, I’d argue that it’s even somewhat heroic. It’s the perfect theme for a family that always fights to do the right thing, even when it costs them everything.
Yeah, but no. His title by right, according to the show, would be King Aegon Targaryen, sixth of his name, lord protector of the realm and king of the andals and the first men. Son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Targaryen nee Stark. Lol.
Biologically he's both a Targaryen and a Stark but the way he dresses, the way he talks, the way he is has always been like a Stark ,a true Stark just like his father ,Ned Stark.
@Kat Wilson No but because they are the strongest, wealthiest (at the time) and they made red keep and throne to rule the Westeros. They did invest because they didnt want the blood of the weak in their family I respect that
No matter what you say about the show now, the music will always withstand the test of time. Despite my feelings about the ending, I always come back to this video, and my heart is always filled with joy, excitement and sadness
What was the first thing you thought of when hearing this? For me, it was the last seconds of Ned Stark in Kings Landing. The most Honorable Man for keeping his Sisters secret safe.
I just think of Jon standing on the battlefield with death all around him, staring at the Night King and the music stops like it does at 3:25 and then it goes into the credits after episode 3. At least that's what I hope happens next episode
@@kevinbr00n thats a battle. Being honourable is how he lived his life. He was a younger brother who had to fill his brother's shoes and he tried to do justice wherever he could.

"Red eyes, Jon Realized, but not like Melisandre's. He had a weirwood's eyes. Red eyes, red mouth, white fur. Blood and bone, like a heart tree. He belongs to the old gods, this one. And he alone of all the direwolves was white. Six pups they'd found in the late summer snows, him and Robb; five that were grey and black and brown, for the five Starks, and one white, as white as Snow."

Timeline in my head: Ned gets sent to castle black to live out his days as a deserter instead of getting executed, and is taken to winterfell to prepare. Arya goes north with Yoren and makes it to Winterfell. Littlefinger smuggles Sansa out of kings landing and back to winterfell in an attempt to win Catelyn's favour. Theon curses and spits on his fathers name when Balon commands him to go raiding, and returns to winterfell. Catelyn makes the alliance with Renly, and him and Robb join forces to defeat the Lanniesters, then Stannis. Leaving Renly as king and the North independent. The night's watch grant Jon leave one final time to see his family.... Some months later we follow Jon. He dismounts his horse at the gates of winterfell, cold and tired. He enters the great hall to see his whole family there, and Ned embraces him while this part of the music plays 4:27
When you think about it, it was quite a reward, Jon belongs to the North, he has been the most happy in the Real North with the free folks, away from politics and the corrupted capital. He is reunited with Ghost, Tormund and the Wildlings, who respect him. He will live a happy life beyond the wall, and find another Wildling girl to love hehe
Yeah but think of it this way he wanted to go back. If see it before he never wanted to be Lord commander but did it anyway and paid the price, then the King in the north after battle of the bastards he didn't want that either plus the northmen reminded him starks don't do so well south, then when he found who he really was then he denied the throne but killed her instead. In the north beyond the wall he is home and free it's where he belongs. You see him change more towards the free Folk.
