Just a quick update: I've just checked and the Bluetooth one now works fine with COD Mobile, the USB-C one you'd need to use the Gamesir app to map the controls as it doesn't currently work 'out the box'
Really in-depth review. Nice job! I really dont like the clicky and loud buttons, that was a big turn off for me. At the moment my ds4 controller with phone holder attachment is doing fine, buttons are silent though the whole thing feels heavy at times which is why i considered gamesir. One feature i would love to see is wireless charging the phone on bluetooth version. It could work both ways 1- Phone charging the controller 2- When controller is connected to power source, it would wirelessly charge the phone and the controller. Now that'd be amazing 😁
That indeed would be really great! I did actually play around creating a wireless charging version of the controller but I'm not an engineer so it looked like junk 😅 - it did work though 😂
If the game supports controllers then it should work no problem. If it does then you can map the controls with the Gamesir App or use something like Mantis Gamepad to map the controls
I've checked and it doesn't work natively with a controller on Andoird. To get it to work you could follow my other video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kGA_3NoFnXQ.html
I just hope that gamesir can make an updated USB-C version of the gamepad. If they add 3.5mm jack and a bit of ergonomic enhancement (e.g mini foot for pinky rest), it would be a perfect android gamepad for me.
Thank you so much for the review! I wanted to get the bluetooth version for retro emulation on the z fold 4 (if i end up buying it) so its good to know there arent any latency issues. Ill use it with the s21 ultra in the meantime
Saitake 7007x (or the updated versions), ipega red knight, flydigi wee 2T is less than the price of gamesir x2... Why? Because those controllers uses flex cable ribbon, that may cause problems everytime you stretched the item :(
WARNING Make sure your phone is compatible prior to ordering the USB-C version. A lot of Motorola phones are not compatible. The light will just blink & never connect.
@@AndroidAddicts I can use mine with the phone case on, so the statement "the USB-C version doesn't allow you to use a case" is not entirely true since it depends on what phone and case you have.
Just found this video and I wish I had seen it before I made my recent purchase. I have The Z Fold 3 Mobile Phone and have a thick case on it, which I have to remove to use The GameSir X2 Pro. I am now going to purchase the BlueTooth GameSir, because I think that one will be alot better for me. Fingers crossed I'll be able to keep my phones case on! I was concerned about the latency issues, but it seems its not really an issue. Thankyou for the review!
Just a note for the BT version with COD Mobile: if you pair in iOS mode using Pair + B buttons, it will show up as Xbox Wireless Controller. Pair in that mode and it will be recognized in COD Mobile.
yes that's what I have noticed also in my Gamesir G6 Touchroller, some buttons come out as Xbox buttons, but no problem with the gamesir's control mapping. So maybe the BT version of X2 is also as good as the type c since the input lag is not noticeable coz my G6s response when I play CODM is really great, so I'm thinking now to purchase the BT version first. 😊
You didn't go over the fact that with the Bluetooth version you can plug a USB cord directly into the charge port of the controller and plug the other end into your phone and use it directly via USB no input lag. Even windows detected the controller as a USB controller. Id love to find a compact 90° stubby USB c cord and try connecting the phone this way with the phone still in the case.
I've got both. I love the type C version, but I got a new phone case and the USB insert no longer fits into my phone with the case on. That and the button layout is awful for Game Pass streaming and the remap doesn't apply to Streamed games. So I got the Bluetooth version to get around both those issues. Very happy with my decision, it works great for Game Pass.
So which out of the two you recommend for console streaming using xbox app??? Also is the USB-C version is tht much more responsive than the bluetooth version?
@@beats-by-skrill8925 I recommend the Bluetooth version for Xcloud and console streaming. The button layout of the USB C version is wrong and a lot of Xcloud games don't support button remapping. The Bluetooth version has a tiny bit more lag but it's not perceptible.
Hello, nice review but for COD you can recozigne the GameSir X2 BT directly to Xbox Wireless Controller for what push and stay in same time Connect + B buttons, the LED light blinking to violet color and for reset connection push G + S buttons 😉
Hi there, thanks for watching. When this video was made it was not a recognised controller believe it or not! From memory it started working about October 2021 for the Gamesir which was about 5 months after recording this 👍
Weird indeed but an interesting question. I just tried it plugged into my Chromebook and it worked fine - I don't have a USB C connection on my PC however so I can't try it there...
Yes I've just tried it and it does work. Not sure why I didn't think to use a USBC to USB A cable in my previous reply but it works a treat. Just tried it on Xbox Game Pass 👍
for what game do you use? i also got a Poco X3 Pro and i want to use it for a Moba game but its not on the GameSir App list, do you think i can still create a custom keymap layout without beeing rooted ?
for type C model, is there any connection issues with mediatek's smartphone? mine is vivo x70 that uses dimensity 1100..now on the fence whether want to buy or not due to this matter..thanks for info
USB-C doesn't have any as it's a direct connection. Bluetooth one is going to be milliseconds so barely noticeable - as long as your phone has a decent Bluetooth connection.
loved the review, for me the type C was the best fit for my needs, don't really need the versatility of the Bluetooth version, already have controllers that do that, wanted a simple plug and play controller and the type C is just awesome, have a poco f3 and even with the plastic case fits and works perfectly with the controller.

@@funkymonkey981 dunno, I only use it for emulation, but since the game sir app lets you map keys in games like genshin impact I'm sure it should in theory be possible, but again haven't tried it my self so not sure
You don't need p use the game sir app you can use something like Mantis which you can map your controls with. I did a video on it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kGA_3NoFnXQ.html
The Bluetooth gives more possibilities, probably works on Windows that may explain the reason for Xbox layout, you can attach phone vertically to play some old arcade Shumups or even attach a tablet 😄, versatility is the way to go. For me at least, TypeC only makes sense if I had a dedicated device for playing. Nice review
Loved the review! Im thinking about getting the USB-C one, mainly because of the convenience of not having to charge the controller. But I have a question, is there like a bundle I can buy for the USB-C one that comes with those thumbstick replacements? Because those you added to the bluetooth one looked very very nice. Anyways, thank you for the vid! had all it needed to have and more n.n
Excellent review, spot on. Been doing some searching and can't find the info I'm looking for, you could tell me though. Is the Type C detected by CODM as it's run through the phone or not detected as you need to assign buttons working similarly as triggers do? I currently run Flydigi Stingers and my S20 Plus struggles. They work for about 10 seconds then the screen stops responding to their touches unless I lift my thumbs (effectively rendering me completely immobile while trying to shoot, not good). I've already ordered the Gamesir Type C but it just occurred to me the controller detection and I'd rather not limit my gaming to only controller users.
Hi there, thanks for watching. I've jhst tested it out and the Type C works absolutely fine in CODM without needing to do anything (although I did have to flip my y-axis in the settings). If you ever find a game doesn't support the controller out the box then Gamesir do have their own software mapping app or you can use something like Mantis which I did a video on here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kGA_3NoFnXQ.html
@@AndroidAddicts does it show in the lobby that you are using a controller though? Appreciate you testing it for me, you didn't have to go to the trouble.
@@AndroidAddicts My Type C controller arrived a short while ago. Found that you can switch from codm supported mode to unsupported with button mapping. Works a treat undetected. 👍 I can set all the buttons how I want and not restricted to only controller users to play against.
i like how you informed that the button layout is different between the ones with USB-C port versus the Bluetooth one. I almost bought the USB-C one for xbox remote playing, but the ABXY is not synced with the xbox controller, so the bluetooth one is the one to get.
I've just tried and sadly the Bluetooth one does not work in Dolphin (at least I can't get it to map to any buttons). The USB C version works fine though
@@AndroidAddicts yeah I opted for the gamesir x2pro what the type C and I must say I did everything to get retroarch on there even use the PS play Remote Play and everything ran smooth on it recognize the buttons I didn't have to set any buttons so next test is to do some Android apps
i use x2 bluetoorth on iphone 13pro max, everything work fine but when i use it on steam link just a few minute the controller stop working, i have try reinstall steam link, it didnt help. I wonder if anyone here had this issue also?
That indeed is a good question and having checked the manual it doesn't mention the USB C version in the requirements - just that it requires a USB C port. I'm guessing you may have a Rog Phone 3 or 5? If you watch from 16:44 you can see me connect up my Rog 5 which is a USB C 2.0 (on the bottom port) to the controller with no issues at all (I also did something similar with the Rog 3 a few years back). I used a USB extension in this example but that wouldn't affect anything. Hope this helps!
I just ordered both the glap controller & gamesir x2 USB c from Amazon. They'll be here today. Do u notice any input lag with the Bluetooth verizon compared to the USB c version? I'm leaning towards the Bluetooth version because of how any phone can fit easily but idk..I just don't want any delay in my gaming. Btw I'll be playing on xcloud gamepass for all my gaming. Which one would u chose out of the 3..glap, Bluetooth or USB c? Thanks
The Glap has always been my favourite controller but I do like both the new Gamesir ones since they updated the d-pad and included the analogue cap things. Even though the Glap is only Bluetooth 4.0 I never noticed any issues with lag. With Game Pass there'll always be an amount of input lag due to the nature of what you're doing so to keep that to a minimum, USB C would be better. The main issue however will be the latency between you and the Microsoft servers...
for what game do you use? i also got a Poco X3 Pro and i want to use it for a Moba game but its not on the GameSir App list, do you think i can still create a custom keymap layout without beeing rooted ? can you recommend me a controller that lets me create a custom layout ?
Sadly I don't have the Kishi anymore but it'll feel similar to when I put my S8 in it which is a bit flimsy (the phones are nearly the same size you see)
It will squeeze into the Bluetooth one yes. Where is the USB port on the Rog 2? If it's not in the center then it definitely won't work with the Type-C one.
@@AndroidAddicts ohh okay, i am actually looking for an alternative to ROG Kunai gamepad. Those were to expensive for me. Also having a hard time looking for a telescopic controller the would fit an ROG Phone II because its length is 171 mm. Thanks!
The Glap is no longer available sadly but the main differences would be the size (X2 is a lot smaller) and lack of analogue triggers on the X2 controllers.
yup im just waiting for the price drop luckily it has significant price drop here in PH i got poco f2 pro 😁 its a year old flagship chipset but it can do the work
Hey there great video! By chance can you test out using the blue tooth version with an iPhone playing Apex Mobile??? Please, I just bought the X2 and I have an IPhone 11 Pro and I don’t know how to get it to work on Apex Mobile. It’s the only game I even bought this for.
@@AndroidAddicts Tried it with the Note 10 Plus 5G too and it was a perdect fit than even the v60. Will do a video about it too. I actually did that of the Lgv60 with the lgv60. See it below. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S_x5cRUQE90.html
If by definition, turbo mode is having the buttons press multiple timea when holding it, I can say that the x2 type has one, and its annoying me right now. If you want to confirm (please confirm i wanna know if mine is defective), go to the gamesir app, go to button test, now while holding g button. Press any button and you'd notice that the keys press repeatedly in a rapid manner, when g button is released, every time the buttons are pressed nd held, button press repeatedly. My problem now is, when i uae the controller in game, at times my "r1" would press repeatedly. I had the controller less than a month and haven't used it a lot yet. Need feedback please comment
Hi i got a question. Please will this mapping on the bluetooth work on any game you desire to map? Does this mean that with the Gamesir you do not need mantis, octopus, panda, etc?
@@AndroidAddicts bro i bet you would not be able to a pes21. Tried it on my Lg G8x did not work tho i used the inbuilt dual screen gamepad mappign feature which isnt super mappable tho. Only worked with panda and wont work with mantis

Friend, Thank you very much for the video ... A question ... I saw that the GamePad Gamesir X2 has problems to map the buttons on the Redmi Note 10S, for compatibility with the MediaTek processor ... Please, have any idea about That, I want to buy it to play Genshin Impact ... Thank you
