It's always fun to go exploring these local haunts! These are the places that bring people together and they always hold a special meaning for me.

As a modern magic player who got into it in 2016, I never got to play some of these old cards or have even heard of them. You should do more of those bulk openings just talking about old cards and sets and how you played them. I enjoyed that

That's awesome. Definitely do more of these videos. I used to work at a game exchange in Alabama in the early 2000s. I haven't seen one in 15 years at least since they shut down here in my area. We only sold games. It was before the collectible trend I guess. But we did clean every cartridge and buffed every disc that we bought. And didn't accept games without the case and instruction book. Unlike GameStop that would just buy any garbage people would bring in and turn around and sell it to people in that same condition. I always liked that about them

On the subject of your surprise at them selling DvD and Blu Ray, there's a whole community on YT, TikTok, Instagram, FB, & Reddit dedicated to physical media collecting. It's going almost completely to a collector's market. Other than that, great video Boog! Love seeing you out and about!!

We have one around us called "Record Exchange" that used to be an old record store, then a CD store, and now used games. It has damn near any media format you could dream of.

My town use to have a Game store that was so Anti-Gamestop that they was SUPER competitive with their trade in and buy prices because of it. In the end they failed. Don't know why, but it possibly was they wasn't making enough profit.

A few things. 1. I would love it if you did a series of the gpk advent calendar, maybe as a series of shorts, if you'd want to. 2. That Gundam section in games exchange was INSANE 3. Depending on how much you want for each of them and which ones you have I'd be interested in the pop figures you have, especially if they're nightmare before Christmas.

We have a similar kind of place here in the UK called CEX (pronounced like you think) that buy and sell second hand stuff, and they're full of old games and other media. A real treasure trove for someone looking to fill in some gaps in their vintage collection. They're pretty great for old electronics and consoles too and check they're all in working order.

As far as I'm concerned, Gamestop has always had competition in both GameXchange, and Vintage stock I used to have a GameXchange in my area, but the owner closed it when there was talk about the ps5 not having used games (remember that?) he kinda panicked, and closed it, which sucked...

Interesting style of video for you Boogie. Something I would expect from Brightsun, Dan Bell..ect. I personally still keep my DVD binder around just in case. I find that if the internet ever goes out, I am glad that I at least have a decent sized library of physical media that works, as long as I have power that is.

I remember back in the day before it became whataburger and that oil change place. They had a game exchange over there by college street. I would spend so many hours there. The one on mlk is really small and meh but I mainly do digital anymore. Glad your doing around our area and town. Enjoyed the video.

This place looks like heaven

Digital is a lot more convenient, but something about owning physical media is a must for me. I'm one of those suckers that will get a steelbook of a movie I really enjoy and will definitely re-watch again. That way I can have the 4k/blu-ray and digital code. It's especially good if the power ever goes out and I can just watch something on my laptop thanks to having an actual disc. The same goes with buying physical video games. Digital is a lot easier, but I still like to HAVE the disc just in case. I've sold back games before and you just can't do that with digital.

We have a few GameXchanges around here, but nowhere NEAR this big. But we have V-Stock. It's huge! It's almost like a small Walmart and they sell melee weapons, LP's, and books.

Last time I went to GameStop, I sold them my original Xbox One and put the money towards a Project Scorpio. Seems like so long ago. I also remember going to the midnight release for GTA V, it was like a phenomenal event. Fallout 4 was the last midnight release I ever went to. Felt way too old and tired to be there that night lol

My area close by has a gaming store called "Games to Gold." It has video games that are from retro to current gen while they also have movies/tv shows which comes in DVDs and Blu-Ray discs. I would tend to go there if there aren't any games that I find at Gamestop.
