GAMESTOP Trade-in Be Like. You know when you trade a game or Console at GameStop and you get basically nothing. IF you Trade in a PS4, PS5, Xbox, or Nintendo switch. You don’t get what it is actually worth.
I still remember as a kid buying a $20 DS game from GameStop then a month later they offered me 50 cents for it 💀 oh boy trading a whole ass game for a gumball
I bought a game for 40 bucks I got home a took the plastic off and I played for a while and decided to take it back and they offered me 13$ in store credit
Never try trade in sport game’s. There value is crap because there always another version coming out next year. Best games to trade are rpg and Nintendo franchise games.
It’s not just that GameStop rips people off you’ll have a game that’s worth let’s say $25 and they’ll buy it from you for let’s say four dollars and sell it used for $15-$20. They just made a 400% profit.
$30 for a terrible game is a steal Try selling old useless games online where the guy wants to meet you behind a Wendy's at 2am underneath the only street light that doesn't work. Sure they don't offer you top dollar, but it is way easier
They tried to give me 5 dollars for My Nintendo Wii that survived a school shooting and got shoot and fixed but still has Marks Maybe that is why they wanted to give me 5 bucks it lookes bad but still works and Don't ask me about the school shooting the person who sold it to me said it Looks bad because of a school shooting thats all
I remember going to this game store that sold retro stuff I traded in SSBU, got 25$ in store credit, and surprisingly I got 5 dollars for trading in Mega Man Battle Network 5 Blue
They completely fixed they’re trading system I remember as kid being offered $40 for a complete Xbox 360 with 4 controllers and other accessories but now in 2024 they actually give you fair amounts and in some cases more then what it’s worth (based off other used prices)
And they turn around and sell it all for with the games priced at around $39.99 the custom switch is easily gonna get around $350-$400 and the custom ps4 is straight up $500. Which comes around to $890 dollars plus tax so we’re talking more like $970 for all that. GameStop is such a scam. Especially their points system. Edit: the math I did I only included one game. If were to include all of then we might be coming close to either $1,700-$2,100
Even my local games store tried to take a HIGH CONDITION 3DS XL for $80! I looked at eBay and seen the sold for $125 in mines condition, made a deal on $100 and left happy, as that was enough to buy a psp I saw and pocket some. shame GameStop can’t do that.
For general reference most game stores usually offer 1/3 of the value that the game resales for unless they have a over abundance of stock then it’s less. And this is from someone that used to manage a local game store, a Gamexchange, and a GameStop
Bro I jus called GameStop and I had, NBA 2k23, cod vanguard, cod Cold War, spider man, uncharted 4, gta 5, ps4 slim, extra controller and I was looking for like $50 for the games and $150 for the ps4 n controller and they ahh rly said there best is $63.75 for everything😂😂
gta and uncharted 4 get traded in so often its not worth it to buy it off you and the games are half a decade old. NBA is an outdated sports game, and call of duty is also outdated, they don't know the condition of your ps4 It could be faulty for all they know but the thing is they have to buy it off you no matter what. truth is you obviously don't want it so why the hell would they want it
actually my GameStop is actually pretty nice for a ps4 they were able to give me Store Credit: 80.00 Real USD: 60.00 Took store credit bc I love gamestop
I do admit some trade deals suck, but like when the drawer is filled tons of copy of the same game or they release a new one in the series every year, it’s not surprising that it would be so low
DUDE IN ENGLAND WE have this shop called CEX and they do the same thing and also once I bought a 50 pound rare Pokémon card and I go to resell it at that same shop with a first edition card and they try to give me 8 pounds it’s crazy and also in that cex shop I traded in a whole Nintendo 2DS which is about 100 pound rare Nintendo with games and two PlayStation controllers (ps4) and they try to give me 30 bucks like bro
Local used video game stores pays TWICE as much for used games and consoles than GameStop does. They also have about 4-5X the amount of games to choose from. I take my used stuff there. Sorry, GameStop.
Most of trade in always not worth. I mean my friends PO game and 3 days later he want trade in because the game not really good as expected, so when he want buy new game he see store who accepts trade in to other games. And you know what, the game he really new buy and its only 3 days after it release the store only count it for 10$ (meanwhile he buy the game at 60$), i tell him if he just need sale it, i'm very sure if he sell cheap the game its can be got 40$. But because he go to store (and cost time) he think to just trade it and got new games, and because limited money he bring, he only can trade in with old games and still cost him 20$ for it . After we home i try post his old game at FB and someone want buy it at 55$, since its still new game not far from release, and he kinda regret to trade in now.
I saw a guy come in and ask what the took for a ps4 slim and the guy said “$50 dollars and 60 dollars of in store credit” like bro he payed money give him just cash
Same I were trading A 700$ pc a 130$ Blue yeti mic. I said how much for this Refurbished stuff they are not scratched and he said 10$ IM SERIOUS 💀 the total for all was 2000$ I think or 1000$
They said $7 for RDR2, bruh a muti-billion dollar company created game, that was expensive to create and publish, plus its rated the best game to ever exist. How could they?!?!. And that was back when the game was $60, now I think its $20?
Took 20-30 360 games to GameStop when the ps4 came out cuz I wanted to trade up and they offered me $0.07 not even joking it was rediculous I pointed at the used 360 games they were selling for $14.99 a pop and I go tf is this??
I remember GameStop offered me 25 cents for a game. Online it was worth around 30 bucks. No hate to GameStop, but, cmon. 25 cents? That’s a piece of bubble gum. I’ll keep my game.
GameStop acts like they are the only one who can sell games and if u do u need to except a low price because ur stuffs crap but they will buy it and sell it double or triple of what they bought it for
