I bought cheap video game consoles on amazon and I regret it Follow my socials: ➽ Twitter - @ImNotaCasualty ➽ Twitch - @ImNotaCasualty Unboxing weird video game consoles I bought online pls subscribe #ps5 #unboxing #weird
The thing is they copy the ROM hacks from retro game emulator cheat table's for retro game roms and split them up 1 by 1 so it looks like they have a lot of games💀💀💀
Bro that "Switch" knock off was actually the start of some creepypasta. The screen bugging out and it activating behind you were CLEAR giveaways that there was a ghost in that there tiny machine.
I'm sure somebody already pointed this out, but the NES clones are more commonly called "Famiclones". Fami because the Famicom was the Japanese name for the NES. There's so many of them because not only is it easy to produce but Nintendo doesn't own the patents for the internal hardware anymore.
Im off topic probably but.. this guy decided to get it off of amazon? Everybody knows amazon sells something that cost 13.00 on aliexpress would cost 30 something on amazon.. this would probably cost like 5 or a cheap clone that cost 3.00, the shipping is long, but its worth it i guess
@@jakeflores4625you say that but when you go to check out with that $13 item, it then jumps up to $33 bc of shipping. Alixpress, temu, wish etc all do this
I remember when I was young, I tried to spend all my birthday money on a no name console thing I found in a catalogue. My sister eventually talked me out of it and I appreciate that more and more the longer I live.
@@bossender3536 same here. I ordered a "game boy" that was legit in the pictures, but they sent me a blue-ish colored plastic retro gaming console that has tons of old games.
@@battousai9795 they dont have to produce garbage pcbs or controllers. They could just focused on the aethetic which isnt bad. Would make them alot more money imo
@@keenmachine80 oh yeah, I actually agree with that, that's a dope idea, I just meant that "should of" isn't a thing, it's "should've". For some reason I find it like nails on a chalkboard when people write that lol
I know I might get flamed for saying this but I feel that these consoles are great for families who can’t afford the real consoles. They provide fun for a very affordable price and when you think about it the games aren’t bad for only 10-30$.
true, a few years before i was born, my family didn't have a lot of money and couldn't afford a ps1 so they got my brother a knock-off replica of one. idk how my brother actually thought of it but i'm sure he probably had a lot of fun with it. i have tons of bootleg consoles and they're really fun to collect during times where i'm not in the mood to buy a real console
you can pick up a nintendo ds for around that price, mod it, and you got yourself a legendary console that i would even pick up not even just kids, just my opinion tho
I have bought some off Temu and I gotta say as cheap and knock off as they are I sometimes find myself playing them when im bored out of mind. They require no wifi, 3 AAA batteries, quick, doesnt crash, overall a quick thing to have when you are just somewhere where you need to kill time but not loose focus on what you are doing. I find myself playing this at work just before I clock out
there are some good emulator handhelds out there but they're pretty expensive. abernic consoles usually run way under what a switch costs and have a ton of games already installed
There are so many excellent emulation handhelds these days, in a wide range of prices, too, maybe anywhere between $40-$400. *But,* one is strongly adviced to do their research since there's still yet more absolute tatty, rickety garbage devices, too.
As someone who couldn’t afford consoles I loved these and ended up with a Tetris addiction, the only con I had with these was the screens gave me severe migraines for some reason
Growing up as a kid, and now my 2 daughters are fortunate to be able to have the next gen consoles. I very much appreciate seeing these comparisons to give others, who cannot afford the $500 systems, at least some kind of cheap alternative out there, as this may be all they can afford for their kids. Always remember to be humble and appreciate what you have. ❤
When I was little YEARS ago my grandpa got me one of those plug and play/handheld hybrid devices and it was honestly the coolest thing to me at the time.
Ah, yes, the loads of NES rom hacks. "Super Mario 6" looks to be one of the Tiny Toons games, "Super Mario 12" is just Yoshi's Cookie with a different name (yes, Mario was a chef in that game), and Snow Bros is a legit game. NES port of an arcade game. Loved it as a kid. The TV one is actually adorable! Personally, I'd love to take one of those and hack it to put my collection of retro games on. ... not that they could handle anything bigger than NES, but still.
right click disable resample on your clips and normally it shouldn't have the fading depending on the fps you shoot and render your projects. good content as always :)
The knockoff wii is actually pretty dope for 30$. Isn't a used wii with no games already about that much? The PS5 shaped ones are neat if you want one as a project box, I guess. It's probably just an RPI in there.
I think that if you think the stuff you can buy on Amozon ends around consoles, you are sorely mistaken. You can buy a sauna or a shed too. Not even joking.
Some of the good retro emulators can do some really insane stuff(Like run ps1 and N64 games.) Stuff from Miyoo, Anberic, retroid, and even stuff like the steam deck if you got the space and money are really good options and make these famiclones look like complete garbage.
I love these knock off things, and I have a knock off gameboy with Snow Bros on it. It’s actually a decent game, and I’m shocked you didn’t give it a chance.
To be fair, I bought the one that looks like a game boy for my son's 4 th birthday and all my kids loved it. It has been over a year and it still works. It was kind of a tester to see if my kids could handle games of if they would break them immediately. Well they were good so I pulled out my original NES and they were still good with it so now they also have a switch. These cheap games have their uses. Some of the games are actually fun.
The family pocket "Wii U" has an SD card!! It's actually a full-featured emulator that I used for over a year, and you can load whatever you games you want with save states. It's only junk with the SD card out
ok but family pocket 8:37 is unironically really novel with the lil' tv setup, if nintendo made an official version with a small NES on top of the TV you know it'd sell insanely well
It depends, a lot of them are just are old famiclones with a multicart permanently wired into where the cartridge port would be. In that case it’s awkward, but you could replace the multicart or the rom chips with some soldering. Some more modern ones use an SD card for ROM storage too, in those cases it’s often easy to change unless the SD card has a weird format or something.
I love that all these consoles just have these old retro games. Retro is nice and all but we _do_ appreciate and love newer games with better graphics and sound quality! Not everyone is trying to relive the past.
My brothers got one of the fake Nintendo's from my grandparents. A few months later when they were playing with one in the car, the plastic was almost melting and the whole thing was emitting smoke. It hurt to the touch. So in conclusion cheap doesn't always mean better.
@ImNotaCasualty I love the video honestly thought it was hilarious but man did I feel bad you had to go through all that just know I’m here for you buddy
6:59 the fact that my grandpa gave me one of those exact same things and it did the same thing with the fuzziness and glitches when I asked for an emulator console
I’ve noticed a pretty much direct correlation between how many games these consoles advertise as having and how shit the console actually is. You have to be genuinely unhinged to advertise it as having 45,000+ games and yet they do all the time. And then of course you look and the names are incoherent and it’s the same terrible 100 games with 450 pallet swaps each. Those pallet swaps can be super deceptive too, they won’t just change the colors they might change out all the sprites and it can take a minute to figure out it’s the exact same gameplay
