This leaves me thinking that if you go to the developer options and increase the minimum width to 600 (from what i know this is the least value for tablets) or even match the minimum width of the android phones to the ultra tablet it would make the android games run at a higher resolution I also dont know if you have an 8gen2 phone lying around so we could see how that performs when compared to the current 8 gen 3 for this game and to see whether it also runs at the same resolution or not

@kingmm5017 my fold 5 gets warm sure but it never gets hot or affects fps and i play enough to go from full battery to 20 which i know is bad but sometimes u dont notice ur battery draining. I played both games but when i tested wuthering waves it was mostly software issues where it would keep crashing on both devices.
usually mobile gaming we dont set everything high, just put medium and 60 fps cap then its good to go and enjoy game less heating up the device. also our eyes dont really pay attention the details as long the game rendering is smooth.
Playing Genshin Impact on the Odin 2 that has a built in fan really helps performance with the 8th gen snapdragon 2 in that device. Wonder how well the 3 would do with a fan or active cooling.

It may look good but I can see from the performance metrics that something is bottlenecking the system. The frame time graph is not stable while the GPU is barely stretching its legs. Could be the CPU part of the SoC not being able to keep up with the GPU, a battery power output limit causing a fluctuation in the voltage it can provide to the SoC, or possibly thermal throttling.
i have a fold 4 and every high end graphics game runs fine as it has a snapdragon, compared to my s24 plus exynos which drops frames for most games with high end gaming. Games are optimized for the snapdragon. games i tested include GRID Auto Sport, Battle Prime, Arena Breakout, Wreckfest.
That Vapour chamber system is helping it a lot compared to iphones they can run at 120fps at the first few seconds before it lowers it’s performance making the fps to the low 80-60fps Conclusion this phone is good for gaming and better compared to iphones.

And wuthering waves made more money In this first month compared to Genshin first month of release. I think you just didn't do your research well enough.
Tbh, sometimes gamebooster slows down the game for whatever reason. I've tried it on and off many times and always have to turn it off because it makes my games run worse.

@NasiLemakTech when on the go? i would probably be playing on big screen if there's a place to sit, then fold it down when i need to walk cuz i noticed for fold 5 and earlier iteration, the screen resolution gone weird when folded/ unfolded the screen half-way playing games
@@TapTheTabthat really doesn’t make much sense even from the “convenience” thought process? It’s not like you need to unpack the larger screen or anything, just unfold and play. You’re not saving weight, space, or anything by playing with the outer screen. The only reason to use the outer screen in the first place is one handed use
So the performance is pretty much the "same" as S24 Ultra. "Same" because Fold runs at higher resolution. 8Gen2 was indeed better for games, especially ones like Genshin that cause thermal throttle.
My iPad Pro runs genshin impact at about 1600p "highest everyhing" and IT TOO thermal throttles. I remember when i was adventure 45 and trying to clear abyss 12 with any amount of stars for the first time, when i reached the end, the iPad would be screaming hot, and the fps throttle to 45 fps from a straight 60. So yeah if the 8 gen 3 isnt as peak powerful as Apple M2 then its not worth trying to do that render resolution on a phone like this.
Which model iPad Pro is that? i have an M1 Air which doesnt throttle at all. Gets warm yea but not nearly as much at to throttle? Ive done abyss resets and commsions on it continuously.
For gaming, both will be about the same lmao. The 8 Gen 3 will throttle and then it'll be more or less the same as the 8 Gen 2. For non-gaming purposes, the 8 Gen 3 has better efficiency.

Technically the phone can go up to about 75°C as that's the battery's limit. But our hands will start to feel very uncomfortable at 50°C. Phones will mostly thermal throttle at 47°C
@@NasiLemakTech Yeah. I have a Fold 5 and considered the 6 with good discounts, but you know what I'm prolly gonna thirst over the Fold 7 after buying the 6 lmao. It's more responsible to do so anyway, yearly upgrades isn't financially responsible 😭
@@NasiLemakTech If you can live with the narrow viewing angle. I would fold the phone and play widescreen to have a wider viewing angle. In PvP games its a big disadvantage having this narrow viewing angle.
@NasiLemakTech thats sad to hear. I am using s22+, and the fps dropped so hard when i play onmyoji arena for 1 game. The game won't run smoothly without a fan cooler. Kinda sad they haven't resolved this while theres no fan cooler for fold.
Soo this might be an odd request…because you *might* not play but I play a lot of the music games like JYPSuperStar, SMTOWN Superstar, D4DJ etc. Could you possibly test 1 of these on the large screen? I really would like to know how it works to see if I should even get the new fold 😅

I believe Vulkan is the future. It'll have better performance too since it's a more efficient API. But game developers are difficult to convince to move over.
Very happy with my S23 Ultra, playing the same game on the same graphics settings, only fools will get this for gaming from z fold 5. S23 ultra plays this game longer and smoother, seriously
Nah bro, I own a Tab S9 and I play with 7 fingers on it without gyro (big and heavy device), in the one in the video for example I could play with all that + gyro, while on a cell phone I'd be stuck with just 4 fingers + gyro, so for some people this device actually makes sense
thats the game companies fault. apple pays games to make their phones look fast when they have shit processors but phones that have a really good cpu are done dirty since companies dont give a crap
