GAMO Swarm 10X Gen 3i BONE COLLECTOR in .22 (Full Review) w/ Power & Accuracy Test 

Man I love your videos. But what I’ve learned with my gen3 magnum you can NOT have it stationary. You have to let it recoil. I set mine on a tripod and 50 yards 1” groups minus the flyers. If you want to try that or artillery hold but these things aren’t accurate like a pcp shooting on a stand like that.

I love GAMO IGT rifles, have 3 and just ordered another one....900-950 is not enough to destablize a pellet, you really need to be over 1100 for that. Gamo does dramatically over-sell the speeds on their rifles, they advertise absurd FPS ratings that you are never going to reach even with their sub 10gr alloy pellets, you have to have PERFECT climate and atmosphere conditions to achieve their lofty unrealistic speed ratings. For example I run Crosman 14.3 pellet, and the regular IGT will propel these to about 650-700. When I run that same pellet in my 33mm Mach 1 rifle, I can expect around 750-800. nowhere near the crazy numbers gamo advertises. I love Gamo and their customer service is top notch, but other companies like Hatsan for example will actually tell you real world velocity numbers for their guns.

GAMOs are a lot of value for the price. The higher-power break barrels really do have fantastic power and they all hold/feel really great. I have two Magnum GRs in the Olive color and those are as powerful as they are beautiful. Those are some of my SHTF day survival tools ha ha. No joke, son.

This may not be a high end break barrel but for the money it’s good enough. The thing with these high power guns makes them perfect for heavier slugs or pellets🤷‍♂️💯 Rick and Angie seem to have better accuracy with Gamo Red Fire. I would also try Daisy Hollow Points. You may have you mind blown for accuracy for value. Thanks

Great job Nate! That is the sweetest Gamo break barrel they sell. I love the wood stock! I think you can get better groups if you shoot your break barrel rifles off bags with a firm artillery hold. A better scope helps too. Nice job on the shooting for a PCP shooter! Get yourself a Hammers "Magnum" scope or a BSA Outlook Scope for your break barrel reviews both are at or under 100. They come 3-9 or 4-12 and have AO adjustments. The BSA is easier to return if problems arise to Gamo.

I've got 8-10 types of ammo (.177, but still) and the H&N Baracuda Hunter (Hollow points, 10.49 grains for me, .22 is 18.21 grains) slaps harder than the hollow point slugs (13gr also H&N) or the heaviest (16.1gr Seneca ) regular non-hollowpoint slugs I've got. I use potatoes for plinking practice because they turn black pretty quick where hit and they just decompose - but you can see very well entrance/exit points and what they do and both the 13/16 grain slugs just punched through clean where the Baracuda Hunter ones made a starred entry and took chunks out the back sides. Would like to see the HNBH tested in .22, for sure. It's kind of an all around well manufactured, well behaved, and well performing round.

So I just got this gun and So far the I tried the 15.89 and 18.13 JSB pellets in it and the 18.13 did the best but still not as tight as I like at 30yrds. I will try the crossman premiers and the JSB hades tommorrow and see how it goes. The scope it comes with is crap in my opinion as everytime I was shooting the 3x9 zoom kept slipping back from the 6 power I had it set on back to 3 power which is un acceptable. also had the mounting screws for the scope mount come loose as well which threw off the scope as well. Replaced the scope with a centerpoint 3x9x40 AO and started over this gun or at least mine is very hold sensitive and yes I noticed that it likes to be held tight as well. but I was able to hold it snug in the shoulder and gentle in forearm grip area and get some decent results. Have not decided which way is better as after a full day of shooting this gun my arm was wore out. I was able to take out a few back yard pest with it at 15 and 20yrds though with no problem. the guns does look and feel great and I like the mag system for loading which is why I bought this gun in the first place. But it definitely needs to get tighter groups for me as I am a little spoiled used to shooting my Weihrauch HW50 .177 and Weihrauch HW77K .22 and shoot nickel size groups at 50yds with them all day long. BUt I also have the Hatsan 95 spring rifle in .25 and it is a tack driver at 50yrds as well holding quarter size groups or less and it only cost $165 I also have an older gamo varmit rifle in .22 which is a tack driver at 30 and 40yrds as well and is a spring piston and definitely shoot better groups then I am getting with this bone collector which is a little disappointing considering that gamo varmit gun was bought 10yrs ago. So only time will tell as wel all know every gun has a favorite pellet and you just have to find it.

The Bone Collector is a bit hold sensitive. However, after the learning process there are nice groups possible at 25 yards with the Gamo Red Fire. Curious about your color palette of your new Avenger, hopefully adjusted in the pro tune version.

That gunrest is sweet, BUT absolutely 100% hinders accuracy with this gun, minimal contact but still something to help stabilize is the best way to approach this, ive found, if anyone reading this is curious or frustrated like I've been in the past. This is actually an extremely accurate pellet gun at 25 yards if you get your hold consistently

Did you have any problems with the magazine on this rifle as I've heard other reviews having issues.

At those velocities in .177 and.22 that gun would be ideal for .25 as it would chuck them out at a 100 FPS under the sound barrier but still with a nice and straight trajectory.

Stated 1650 fps muzzle velocity is with the super light lead free pellets only. heavy lead pellets fly far slower. Nevertheless it does not make sense to go above the speed of sound because the pellets become very unstable and therefore inaccurate indeed. Slugs fly better and more accurate at high speeds, but i doubt that the gamo magazine is suitable for holding slugs. Nevertheless Gamo makes quite good springers for a smaller budget though!

The one that came from Sportsman's Guide yesterday had a broken mag retainer clip, the green part. Returning for a refund, if I get a new one the retainer clip might break eventually on that one too.

Not sure why you said these aren't great for hunting. I have killed untold number of squirrels and rabbits with mine, and I have zero problem shooting invasive House Sparrows and European Starlings out of the trees in my yard.

What is the largest animal you have taken with pellet rifle.

Don't want to use a break batrel for hunting? My Crossman Diamondback puts out 15.89 gr Hades at a very consistent, avg 815 fps +/-4 and is ridiculously accurate even with just the open sights, posting cloverleaf groups at 30 yards and 1/2"-3/4" groups at 45. Almost on par with my DAR Gen 3....

If you fold the rifle over as to load it I was wondering how many inches long and wide the airguns measurements are folded as to potentially fitting into a 100 litter survival rucksack. Could you do the measurements on a folded gamma.

What scope is compatible? I have a hawk vantage 3-9x50 that’s about an inch too long for that set rail set pin and the auto loader clip assembly. I really want to get this scope on in a bad way. Are modified mounts available etc ?

nothing about that gamo scope is good lol. this rifle produces around 22ftlb of energy . its nice and accurate and not overpowered like the magnum. the Magnum is simply too hard to shoot with good accuracy compared to this one.

Gamo has always let me down on power. They don’t shoot 1600 FPS, even with a .4 grain Alloy pellet. The only brake barrel gun that did over 1600 FPS was the Hatsan 125,135,155, and 150 all use the same platform. But I would not even buy a hatsan after trying out one of those AEA Challenger PCP. The .22 cal will shot a 9.8 grain 1543 FPS. I have it on my channel called Big Bopper Airguns or RU-vid. I do love your videos, very thorough. Keep up the good work!

Bone Collector VS Mach 1 VS Magnum 3i in .22 for penetration ?

Guess you haven't hunted much with this break barrel air rifle. I take Ground Hogs weighing 15 pounds or more with mine at 75 yards and the pellets literally disintegrate on the steel plate at 75 yards.
