Using an aftermarket trigger screw of 2.5x12 mm for the Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1 22 caliber air rifle, to greatly improve the trigger break weight and improve accuracy. Also what to do and what not to do and the dangers and benefits of doing this.

I used a 2.5x8 screw and was able to screw it all the way in without any issues or having to use any blue thread lock. Made a big difference.

I just watched this video and I will recommend it to anyone modding their trigger because you captured exactly what can happen and the bump test. Trying to find the screw mod on the Gamo normal trigger on budget Gamo's. I've never tried it as it wasn't recommended way back when on the GTA forums. Then again the guy that started the forum also made the really nice actually 2 stage adjustable trigger replacements for Most the Gamo's and clones

@@charlesoutdoors2424 Thank you Charles. Are you talking about Rick Eutsler making the trigger mod? I had heard that he would kick people out of GTA for just discussing the subject of trigger modification? Ps for the standard Gamo trigger, the screw helps with trigger travel in the second stage, but not with break weight. Ps thank you Charles for checking out my video and sharing it!😃👍

That's a really good example of what can go wrong. Another great video and it's all good useful info. You even got the screw for free!

Pff I am having an hardtime finding some and you get them for free 😁 It is a pretty simple "mod" but you did a great job showing us what we dont want to happen while doing it 😅 [Learn from my mistakes is the motto haha] This is for sure one of the best video ive seen on this subject! Good job bud

Thank you. I thought about redoing the video after that, but how would anyone learn if I didn't show everything.

@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611the stock screw mentioned at 0:18 is actually 7-8mm the one you replaced it with is either 10 or 12mm (10mm is enough)

A trigger pull scale to adjust to a more precise poundage would be good. I bought a Wheeler, mechanical, they're a lot cheeper than the electronic ones, and just as good. I set mine @ 1 1/2lbs. So all my target rifles are the same. For hunting you want more for safety Use Blue Lock-tite to secure setting.
@springpistonriflefeverlone9611
All locked down here, lol. A scale is fine, but it will not determine what feels good to the shooter 🙂👍.

@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 I shoot a lot of different rifles, and when I shoot my heavier ones, then go to my light ones (trigger), I shoot too soon like a hair pin! I'm mostly a plinker ratter shooter. Thanks for the reply.

@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 12 seems like overkill. A 10 should be sufficient don't you think?

How many meters accurately does your gun shoot?

I did some plinking out at 60 yards. The Hammers scope that I had on it wasn't holding up, poi shift. Then I put the Gamo scope on and seemed to be holding up and sighted it in at about 30 yards, getting about 3/4 inch group. I need to put a better scope on it that can stand up to the powerful gas ram. It seems to really like Air Arms 16 grain pellets.

My Gamo is a powerfull rifle. With light pellets it's pretty loud. A heavy pellet quiets it down a lot. My rifle has the plastic stock with a hollow buttstock. There was a lot of recoil and vibration when I fired it. I was concerned that it might destroy scopes. So, I went to the toy store and I bought four squishy toys. They are bags of beads suspended in some kind of gell in a tough rubberized bag. I took off the buttplate and I took one of these gell toys and I wrapped it in a plastic baggy and I pushed it up into the wrist area of the hollow stock. I put it in a bag so it wouldn't get stuck and I could easily pull it out if I ever want too. Then I stuffed two more gell toys in on top of the first one and I put the buttplate back on. That added about a pound too the weight of the rifle which helps tame the recoil and the rubber toys are soaking up the vibration and some recoil as well. I think I like it.
