Shooting spring piston rifles is an art and a skill that I love. If you could not tell, I have a passion for spring piston air rifles. learning how they need to be held, what pellet to use, how much to hold over or under and guessing the wind all plays a big part of enjoying this fabulous sport. I'm also into natural strength training for the genetically average strength trainer, and Bible related topics. I grew up shooting the Daisy 880, progressed further into 22 rimfires and was a rifle instructor in the United States Marine Corps. Strength training has mostly been done through experimentation and reading. Bible background is based on that man is lost in their sins and is in desperate need of salvation through our savior Jesus Christ.
@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 I'm not all that knowledgeable on the different types of air guns these days but I had a raptor I used for rodents of unusual size. It eventually stopped holding as much pressure so I gave it to my nephew to learn on. I need a new one!
@@Jezus42 I hope that you find a good one. Personally, I like steel coiled springs instead of gas rams. I think that the steel coiled spring is more reliable and just as good or better than a gas spring.😃👍
Had a Beeman R1 years ago that I gave to one of my kids. Great rifle. Now I own and shoot a HW30 deluxe in .177, that is great for backyard use. Low power=easy to cock, compact and accurate. Big Weihrauch fan here.
I love to see a older rifle get new life Don’t sneer at 500 fps Many Canadians hunt game with .177s that are restricted to 500fps. 500 is our velocity limit before you need a firearm licence so most kids grow up with 495fps rifles. Shot placement combined with close range and head shots and it can do some work.
Nice riffle friend, sure Christopher is going to have lots of fun with it, with the warnishing it's best to apply a few thin coats rather than one thick one with soft sanding with a fine Sand paper in between with lots of dying after each layer.
Brilliant job on that rifle Chuck.. It looks amazing. ❤👍👍 It's Funny when you point the gun at the camera and I move side ways as if I'm ducking the shot that's coming.. 😂😂Thats great brother.. 😃👍😃👍😃 Awe man your as mental as _uck.. Do you have Scotland in your blood 😂😂😂 lots of love to you and your family as always.. And Peace brother.. I tried to sign up as a sniper for the Ukraine army but haven't heard anything back yet, no kidding 🙄🙄🙄😃😃❤️👍✌️👌
I have only ran one chronograph test immediately after new spring and piston seal. It was getting in the low 500 FPS but that is 100 fps faster that it was doing before.🙂👍
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 It's the oil in the steel wool that causes the problem. Wash the oil out of the steel wool and you will get a darker blue on your extra coats.
Lovely job on the stock Chuck. Great tip on the metalwork. Did you use wet and dry sandpaper after the vinegar? Looking forward to seeing the next stage. Have a great weekend.
Thank you Paul.😃👍 I used a bit of copper wool on it to clean it up. It's all finished, I applied 4 coats of cold blue. It's not the darkest blue, but it looks better and it has protection on it. Maybe I need to research more and see if I can get it shiny and dark.
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 I got 1700 rounds through my Cometa Fenix 400 compact premier star, after trigger adjustment shoots great , On a non windy day at 27 yards, I can hit a 1 inch target dot 7 out of 8 times with this .25 caliber, shooting H&N field target Trophy 20.06 grain pellets..... Yesterday I ordered a Cometa 400 USC in .177 it was the last one in .177.
@@user-rn7jm2qs3o You may not want to make any RU-vid videos but I subscribe to you, in case you wanted to show any of your air rifles off? It's also an easy way to share the Gospel.😃👍
I’ve got bad reputation with hatsan rifles as in north Ireland, u have to pay extra for new-fresh from the factory rifles, so sometimes u just settle for 2nd hand rifles that have been handed in due to faults or confiscated due to crime and improper use, and it’s extremely hard to get good new hatsan rifles so u have to settle for the cheaper ones
Me gusta mucho tu contenido!!.
I wish I had a way to translate everything you were trying to tell me. I'm guessing that you said, your Hatsan 135 destroyed your scope, but another rifle did not? 😃👍
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 will try to write in english, sry if is a little bad. i need your recommedation for me, im new in this jobby and i want to have a good first break barrel with a good equilibrium power-accuracy in caliber .22 to do target, plinking, pest control.... the weight is not a problem for me, im 191cm sportsman. some ppl recommended me buy the hatsan 135 springer and upgreat it with gas-ram 45j piston, and they talk this is accurate rifle but.... im not sure about it... if the factory made and test gun to be 35j and you upgrade to 50j, i think its will not be an accurate rifle, but very power hahaha... So watching your videos i think one of the best target for me can be the hw80..... There are currently many models on the market, but with your big experience, recommend me please What model would you buy for all terrain? Thank you very much!
@@monkeystyle2154 Any HW rifle is very good. Accuracy is the most important thing for hunting with spring piston rifles. The Hatsan 135 is a big heavy rifle, and it's going to be a big heavy pain in the butt, lol. I have a Hatsan 95 22 and a 125 22 and both are very accurate but the 125 edges out the 95. The positive about the Hatsan is the price and potential accuracy. The negative about the Hatsan is lack of quality control from the factory. Personally, I think it is worth getting a Hatsan if you know what to look for and if you can send it back for inaccuracy or defects. If you do buy a Hatsan, I would go for the 95 in 22 caliber with a steel coiled spring. When you receive it, thoroughly clean the barrel, use a push rod and push a pellet through the barrel slowly. If the pellet free falls, meaning a large void in the barrel, send the rifle back and ask for another one. If you have the cash and you don't mind spending it right away, I highly suggest the HW95 in 22 caliber. These middle powered springers are balanced better and easier to shoot than the very long super magnum rifles. I hope this has been of help to you. Please let me know how all of this goes for you with your decision and what you get. 😃👍
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 I very much appreciate your recommendation again. The new heads on the hw80 are beautiful, like the one on the hw77/97. One of my options is the Hatsan 135QE springer (non-vortex), and replace the spring with a 45J Brazilian gas-ram that they recommended to me (they assured me that it works great and accuracy is not lost). So I'm thinking between the 135 and the hw with the vortec kit. I also see that you highly recommend me considering the weight of the rifle, but again I repeat that I am tall and strong and I don't plan to walk much with it on me. So I prefer its capabilities and features over its weight.
I didn't hear about the turkey neck style until last fall. Apparently it is promoted in the Appleseed program. I tried it a couple times and I think it does help me with stability. I know that you are a lot stronger than I am so it probably wouldn't matter for you.
I have never heard of the Appleseed program? The most important thing with using a scope, is that the shooter has his eye 👁️ perfectly aligned in the middle of the scope. That is one area I really focus on.👁️😃👍
@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 I call it the magic millimeter. The little spot in all three planes where your eye is perfectly aligned with the scope.
Have the R9(HW80), AA TX200 and Diana 48. Spring rifles are awesome, love they are self contained, no air tanks or compressors needed. Keep making videos, I would like to see the air rifles sport grow into what it deserves to be. It needs more exposure. No ammo shortages and much cheaper to shoot than powder powered guns.
Nice riffle,I agree with you over going back to the old fashion metal and wood and eatched not lasiered, I am using big heavy side focus ffp Discovery scopes on my 350 n,tec and Ar8 n, tec and so far they are holding zero 😊
