Been out of the cubing space for quite a few years and recently started getting back. 1. Seeing Damian and Jessie work for the cubicle is awesome and I'm glad they are still in the community, great guys! (Jessie sold me a Aolong V1 that is still my main today!) 2. The Gan fall from grace is wild to see, I remember they were all the rage and it seemed like they were 3 steps ahead of the competition. (magnets still rattle my brain) 3. HOW MUCH FOR A 3x3?????? Holy prices!! I remember when top line cubes were under 20 bucks!
Gan cubes were still 'luxury' when they started but they were like, $25-30, where all the competition was like $10-15. Now the standard is $30-40 and Gans are more than a brand new AAA video game release. Insane.
@@monkehm remember the Guanlong, that thing was like 4 bucks and was SO GOOD lmao. I remember not being able to buy a Gan because my parents thought they were too expensive. Man 13 year old me would die seeing these prices😂
I think Jesse said it best. Gan conditioned everyone into thinking $70 is a good price for their cube. Now don’t get me wrong. I’m going to be getting the 15. I love the 12 ui. I loved the gan 12 after about 1,500 solves. And I honestly kinda liked the 13 and 14. I just couldn’t turn on them because of lock ups. But I’m down to give this one a go and see how it performs with my turning style. By the way nice pll skip Steven.
Istg GAN and MOYU are like APPLE and SAMSUNG of cubing. Gan is overpriced but the product feels really premium, on the other hand MOYU releases cubes in all price ranges and are much more affordable with almost the same premium feel.
Nice to see it's decent but no effing way am I paying $70 for a cube that's still not better than the 12, a cube you can buy for less than $30 from Chinese retailers.
Exactly, if the cube was really bad top cubers wouldn't be breaking records with it. That's what I usually think when locking up, that it's just skill issue (I use the 12)
