at first i thought my gan was stuck without the final edge piece in [and i just got it today and it is my first gan] and i was scared until i saw this video. this video and the magnets saved my gan (;
Thank you for the awesome tutorial! I cleaned out my cube, but when I put it back together the tensions were sooooooo loose! I can’t turn it without it exploding. Please make a tutorial on that.
Hey, my cube fell down yesterday and since, it's turning faster than before for some reason. Do you have any ideas what it could be? Core and springs are fine and at the same setting. (Gan 354 m V2)
You can use accel and use maintenance or mastery too on the tracks :) Drop the lube in and it will distribute itself when you do some scrambling, this is called "breaking in" :)
I dont understand i tried to change from 8 to 6 or the reverse and the cube started to break apart so im trying to remade it with your video. I dont get it Happyness thanks to your video its good now but i dont get how it happened
My advice as always with lube is try them all separately before plugging in like 4 different ones!! Clean the cube, add something, see how it feels. If it ain’t right, clean it and start again. Learning how lubes feel individually is the only way to know how to start combining. Also I don’t know much about scs lube currently, sorry! But I do know that silk and DNM is a great combo ;)
I have a gan 356 m that I bought about 2 months ago I bought the lite version so I have to live with the blue ges I'm wondering what lube(s) i should get I like my cube slow but still light to turn so very controllable but not very gummy The best way to describe my ideal speed is: the u face will turn only once if you give it a hard flick Im thinking of getting weight 5 for my pieces and Martian for my stems and tracks because I tried Vaseline and coconut oil and it worked as it was slow but didn't feel too gummy Also do any of you have any tips on how to make it corner cut 45 without changing the elasticity to 0.8 because I always end up twisting a corner on 0.8
Weight 5 is a great choice for a slower more controllable feel, but there's not much you can do re changing the corner cutting with the stock lite nuts I'm afraid :( This is why I never stocked the light version tbh 🤷♀️ Also I don't recommend using anything except legit cube lubes on your puzzle!
Hi! I lubed my Gan 11M exactly the same way you did, Gan standar on the Ges and Maru on the pieces but after a day the Ges feels kinda dry, there is still lube on them but it feels really bad. I tried using Maru on the Ges too but it feels even worse. How can i lube the Ges to get that brand new feeling?
Yeah OK so Maru is renowned for drying out SUPER quick, which I didn't realise fully at the time of making the video. I would recommend getting some Cubicle DNM 37 as a replacement. And yeah as another person said, definitely go for a clean out before you start adding more, and use the thicker, silicone based core lube on the GES, not the fast stuff! So yeah if I were you, the first thing I would do is disassemble and clean the cube, and at that point have a play with it and see how it feels with no lube at all (Or just what's left from the last lot) Then you can go from there, adding what you feel is necessary. Just like solving, this takes a little practice! Good luck!
OK so there are a couple of "teeth" on the stem that goes through the nut; these can either engage with 0.6mm, 0.8mm or "Off" settings on the GES nut. The off setting means the nut will come off, so you can replace it with a different one if you want. But the cube sort of needs to have either the centre caps put on carefully or the cube together to keep the tension and the nut in place, does that make sense? Skip to 3:30 in the vid to see me do this. I replace one of the nuts and keep the tension while putting the cap back on. PS love your beats, I hope you're still producing :)
