Gandhi brought something very new and somewhat bold to freedom struggle. Before him many nationalists went to jail and Court but they always denied the charges. But Gandhi openly accepted all charges and for British it was very difficult to cope with a non violent agitation.

All freedom fighter are equilly played important role in Indian freedom moment. But It was Gandhi who succeeded in generating support from all mass and weak people from Society as well..... I know his principles are difficult to adopt in practical life but don't forget that in somewhere in our regular life we use those regularly.
