a MLG POTATO Gakkou Gurashi....watching that anime gives me the chills. The opening is such lies to what the anime actually is. I remember seeing the opening and not wanting to watch another shoujo moe anime and then I read how misleading it was....and how it's actually about a completely delusional girl pretending everything is fine in a zombie apocalypse, yeah.

Technically it wouldn't be a season 2 since season 1 never ended. The anime stopped right in the middle of a arc (when stuff was JUST getting good). Leads me to believe this was supposed to be 20+ episodes like Cowboy Bebop instead of 12.

Usually anime studios will just pick whatever song is super catchy and upbeat. My guess is that the studio that produced Gangsta really wanted a flashy upbeat opening with lots of colors to draw in a more mainstream audience, despite it not fitting the tone of the story. Under the presumed knowledge that modern anime fans will not be appealed by a gloomy opening with darker colors.

Because companies tend to use anime to advertise their manga: leaving it on a cliffhanger makes people want to read the manga to know how it ends. This fact just makes the situation suck even more.

This series had so many potential but got hit by severe bad lucks The studio went bankrupt so the season 2 maybe won't happened unless there is another studio who want to took the IP Worse, the mangaka got a very rare disease which prevented him from continuing this series. So maybe we won't see the continuation of this series for a long time

***** Try Gakkou Gurashi. Besides Charlotte, Gangsta and GG are the only ones I've watched for this season. But GG is very misleading as it's actually really, really dark as opposed to the opening or the really moe girls.

god how long has it been since i watched it ... i still remember how sad like lamenting for the dead i became when i heard the of the studio's bankruptcy and couldnt continue this masterpiece. i used to binge watch the opening and ending all the time. swear this anime had the chance to bloom for its well written characters and badass plot. this anime had fking everything god its still makes my heart ache lets pray the miracle of Hataraku maou sama sequel after 10 years bestows upon to this unfortunately slept on franchise

I just watched the last episode last night I'm a bit sad. I just found out that this show was out for a while and there is no 2nd season due to the studio going bankrupt. I hope a season 2 will air soon.
