You gotta new subscriber here. I know you said that you don't know anything about Hip-Hop. Since you wanna learn more about 2Pac and Hip-Hop, I would like to help you out on that. Hip-Hop is a culture is based on the 4 elements of Hip-Hop which are emceeing, DJing, break dancing and graffiti art. Hip-Hop Music is mostly about political, conscious and spiritual lyrics. To know how great the emcee or lyricist is when he or she is on the mic, the emcee has got to show how skillful they are with their flow like a combination of rhyming slow, fast, rhyming in multi-syllables which another skill to the flow. Has to know how to freestyle (Making up a rap right then and there), got to know how to battle (Competing against another emcee by out rapping them by dissing him), use metaphors, punchlines, word play and story telling. Their vocabulary is great when they use just about every word from the dictionary. And of course, the emcee has to write his own lyrics. But nobody is perfect. Not every great can do it all. Nothing wrong with party songs but these days, you hear a lot of rappers do music for the clubs and rap about nothing. Like one of 2Pac's idol KRS-One said, "Everybody can be a rapper. But not every rapper can be a emcee."
