He always was selling prodigy money runs as well. Years before there was any talks of him leaving. I know because I’ve bought some from him. I wouldn’t read into too much.

but isn’t most discmania stuff just trilogy based plastic? i get they made “new molds” of old molds but as long as these players are winning they will sell discs, so let them do what they have to do to win so the business can profit. Also with gannon coming back to throw discmania he probably needed time to season in these new molds, and leaned on the old molds for a while to be able to compete very well.

Why was it fine for eagle to throw Innova made DM? Because his name was on them?

I’ve lost some old rare discs from bagging and throwing them😅

I've never really understood why people want to play with discs that can't easily be replaced. I'm just an AM and can't throw any of these disc well enough to understand any nuance between old and new stuff. I wouldn't want anything in my bag that couldn't be fairly easily replaced with a phone call or trip to the factory. It's weird that he is selling them though. Could just keep them and just not throw them.

Seems like it's way overdue for DM to require their players to use the new discs. I highly doubt the old innova runs are any better, objectively speaking - they're just different. Old, unobtainable stuff is always going to be regarded highly. The pros that were used to those discs will of course favor them, while new DM players should learn the new discs instead. KK and Anttila are tearing it up with new DM discs, enough said really

I don't think it really matters what he throws. He's Gannon Buhr. I'll bet he can throw a Frisbee pie tin just fine.

Lots of big name athletes in major sports are using a different brand's product dressed/painted/cloned as the brand they endorse, and no one besides gear nerds cares. I don't see why disc golf should be any different.

These guys dont need a certain run to win. And if you watch their channels all.theu have to do is say they like a run abd a fan sends it to them free if they truly think it makes a difference

I really don’t like the narrative of Innova made vs Discmaina made discs through out this video. If your going to highlight who produced discmaina branded discs than be fair and say innova made as well as latitude 64 made. It’s hard not to hear a bias in your love for older innova produced discmaina discs. I say own this bias in the video and make it explicit. It builds respect to have preferences.

“For me”, this indicates trouble to follow! Someone at Discmania royally screwed up! MAKES NO DIFFERENCE WHERE THE DISC WAS MADE! What will make a difference is trying to control your key player who made a video adoring his previously held and recently gifted gems of classic disc .. NO WONDER SIMON & EAGLE LEFT!!!
