El proyecto "Compartiendo el Korfball" ha sido llevado a cabo por un grupo de 9 jóvenes voluntarios de la Asociación Juvenil Gantalcalá, algunos de los cuales, tras participar en un seminario sobre el uso de deporte como forma de inclusión, y motivados por las necesidades sociales existentes en el Barrio San Miguel-El Castillo de Alcalá de Guadaíra, informaron a sus compañeros y decidieron compartir sus conocimientos sobre "Korfball" (deporte mixto que favorece la igualdad de género) con los niños y jóvenes de dicha zona, para promover una alternativa de ocio y tiempo libre, y contribuir a su inclusión social.
Las actividades desarrolladas por los voluntarios consistieron en: gestionar todo lo referente a los materiales y el lugar de realización de la actividad; informar y motivar a los niños y jóvenes para que participasen en las sesiones de "Korfball"; compartir sus conocimientos prácticos sobre dicho deporte con los niños y jóvenes una vez a la semana; y difundir los resultados del proyecto a las autoridades locales y al resto de la población, con la idea de que en un futuro se puedan crear equipos de "Korfball" en los distintos barrios de la localidad.
Este proyecto, desarrollado bajo la Acción 1.2 (Iniciativas Juveniles) del Programa Juventud en Acción, ha tenido una duración de cuatro meses y ha obtenido una subvención de 7.200€.

The project "Sharing Korfball" has been developed by a group of 9 young volunteers of Gantalcalá Youth Association, who, after participating in a seminar on the use of sport as a way of inclusion, and motivated by social needs existing in the neighborhood San Miguel-El Castillo, in Alcalá de Guadaíra (Seville) decided to share their knowledge on "Korfball (mixed sport that promotes gender equality) to children and young people in that area, to promote alternative leisure and recreation, and contribute to social inclusion.
The activities carried out by volunteers have been: to manage everything related to materials and the venue of the activity, meetings to inform and motivate children and youth to participate in the activities; sharing their knowledge on Korfball through workshops addressed to children and young people once a week, and disseminating the project results to local authorities and the rest of the population so that in the future, to be able to create teams of "Korfball" in different neighborhoods of the locality.
This project, developed under the Action 1.2 (Youth Initiatives) of the Youth in Action Programme has had a 4 months length and has been financed with 7.200€.
