Why does it have both, bronze and nylon washers/bushings?
@edcready8894
@edcready8894 Год назад
well my guess is that there are 2 reasons: 1. Its cheaper than having thicker bronzer washers. 2. There is a lil more room for error. If its only bronze washers then the tolerances need to be tighter. With the nylon there is a bit more room to squeeze it into place because of the softness of the nylon washers.

This knife needs 2 bronze washers instead of one and that nylon garbage. I left the nylon out and it works better but with a little blade play, It is a $20 knife so not a big deal.

@@edcready8894 I have this coming tomorrow, but want to switch out some of the parts. I’m left handed and want the thumb stud on left side only, flathead screws. Have a source you use for tools/parts?

sir, I received 2 similar g-lock knives in the mail. both came very stiff out of the box. I took it apart for cleaning and to adjust the spring tension. I’ve taken apart g- lock Ganzo’s many times but had problems putting this one back together. thank you for this video. helped me figure out what I was doing wrong. They both now operate smooth as glass, with no blade play. thanks again.

The only thing i hate is that the company sometimes over do the threadlocker, and its impossible to remove the screws (especially the pivot screws) without stripping the drive. Sure you can get rid of it using heat such as a soldering iron or a lighter. But sometimes its too late. You have to be careful when using fire to loosen the screws especially when the handles are made of plastic (G10 for the ganzo)

yeah i had the same experience with my first ganzo. Try using a hair dryer instead. Much safer for the g10 instead of fire. Eventually got it loosened but it did take a while

I have 3 of these and wish to hell that Ganzo would make some versions with vg10 or S35VN and some cool carbon scales. There are a lot of cool things that could be done with this knife.

RIGHT!!! They can really go far. We're asking for much. Just both bronze washers and 10CR/VG10 would be amazing. I'm tired of D2 though.
