@@jo-qp7mz What most people are incorrectly assuming is an exhaust coming out of the passenger fender is actually just a piece of exhaust being used to vent their overflow box / catch can. The actual exhaust is out the back.

The 1st handful of pulls were done with the exhaust dump to the fender open. Exhaust valves don't close off the rest of the system so that's why you see fumes at both ends. Exhaust takes the least restrictive path. The last few pulls with the valve shut, you only see the rear shooting flames.

I had a chance to buy an 10th Anniversary Edition Turbo-II, back when I was like 18 or 19. I owned and daily drove an S5 GTU-S at the time, and was in the process of resto-modding an '85 GSL-SE. I shouldn't have passed on that 10AE, but I didn't really have the extra room or the extra money to take it on. Here I am, 18 years later with no more RX-7s and I still have yet to own an FD like I always vowed I someday would. I'm super jealous of this build and hope to someday rejoin the RX-7 / Rotary communities. Cheers and good luck! 🍻
