He began his career by producing beats when he was 12-13 for local artists. And yes he did get to know people (Such as Jay Z) because he was recognized for his talent, and this wasn't until 2000. Such a classic thing for haters to do, base someone success on luck. Just a way to make you feel better because you can just say you are 'unlucky' instead of untalented and/or lazy.

Kanye's music has really gone off the deep end recently for me, but I'll try to give you something here since I love his earlier work. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by musical arguments, since music isn't generally a quantifiable thing. I think its absurd when people use music theory or complexity arguments to promote an artist, because in the end none of that matters when so much of the music that sticks in our collective consciousness and stands the test of time does so because of a simple melody, or a resonant line, or a beautiful expression of emotion that could not have happened any other way. So here's some Kanye West songs that stick with me because of the unique soul they reveal, as well as because of their musical and/or lyrical quality: Roses We Can Make It Better Spaceship Lost In The World Gorgeous Flashing Lights Lastly, that's really weird to accuse a song of being 'prefabricated'. I mean unless you only listen to live recordings of improv jam bands the majority of music you listen to is 'prefabricated'. That's called investing time, effort and polish into art.

No, it's called changing as information presents itself. It doesn't matter if someone thinks you should stick to your original thought framework! The only person we should worry about being true to is ourselves because we can not please everyone, and we should not try. We don't owe anyone anything in terms of our ideals. And if we are trying to be the best version of ourselves we can be, be malleable, seek real information, and then form a more complete opinion on the matter we are better off for that. Instead of sticking to a flawed, uneducated, emotional opinion just for the sake of consistency. We need to be focused on self improvement, not perfecting societal manipulation.

You're pretty late to the party, aren't you? This all sounds well and good (non-sequitous, however) but I'm talking about taking a definitive stand on something one day and then changing that the next day - not just leaning towards one side of the spectrum and PERHAPS leaning over so the other side as new information is presented. The definitive stand shouldn't be taken as frequently as it does.

I'm not sure what it is that makes her thoughts on the situation "non-sequitous", or mine for that matter. Seeing as how her thoughts were brought about by a particular event, in which she could see from multiple points of view. She did not feel one particular way, and so could not take a definitive stand on the subject. And the sequitousness of my comment is absolutely subjective. But it wasn't a meandering statement. I spoke very clearly about being able to change an opinion based on given information instead of following an original stance, just for the sake of seeming to think in a consistent manner to others. That being said, I think you're right and people should actually be able to see things from more than one point of view before making any kind of rash decision. But from your original statement, how could I have possibly been able to glean that meaning from it? It's pretty ambiguous in that dept.
