M.A.N Manalang To be fair, Garchomp actually glides. It’s “wings” are built for gliding rather than flying. Plus, could you imagine how ridiculous Garchomp would look flapping its arms like a bird?
Also, for the record, "nimble" means the Pokemon's weight is halved, which will affect the power of Heavy Slam and the damage taken from Low Kick and Grass Knot.
Although M-Garchomp is monstrously bulky and in sand it gets such absurd power and perfect coverage. Normal Garchomp is still better since is faster and has better abilities, but Mega is nothing to be scoffed at either

I prefer Mega Garchomp. Sure, it loses speed, but that 170 attack is scary. Plus, if you have Sand up and you use a STAB Ground move, the power is scary. But if I was running Garchomp defensively, then I would use the regular one with Rough Skin and a held item of my choice. Otherwise, if I’m looking to wallbreak with less regard to speed, the mega is the obvious choice. I’m not saying the mega is the best wall breaker in the game, but between these 2, there’s few reasons to use the regular, over the mega.
I did a Garchomp vs. Kommo o and team Garchomp surprisingly use explosion (Garchomp died first which made Kommo o win). I would love to see a pseudo legendary metromania after the legendary X3
In singles Mega Garchomp is gonna be worse than it's regular form. But put it in doubles with a teammate with tailwind and watch the horrors. Sand is optional

I prefer the regular :3 I think I generally do prefer the regular forms of these pokemon... I don't know whether its just because that is the form they are in for most of the time... or whether the megas just seem too overly designed to me? I don't do competitive so when it comes to megas vs regular, its all about appearance to me :)
A Mega Garchomp with tail wind is a force to be reckoned with. Plus Mega Garchomp is still pretty darn fast. It’s hard to say which one I prefer though
No contest: regular Garchomp is my favorite by a mile. I hate everything about Mega Garchomp: its square chin, its scythe hands, its excess chest/torso/leg spikes, its Shiny colors, its reduced speed, its excessive attack, and the fact that it doesn't have Rough Skin and can't use an item. I like to run Rough Skin/Rocky Helmet Garchomp.
Honestly mega garchomp is underrated just bc it’s speed isn’t that good if it was it would be too op and plus metagross has less speed but it’s loved alot

Who doesn’t prefer normal garchomp, it’s literally the best pseudo because of sd and speed and now that scale shot exists it’s even more broken. Dynamax just makes it unfair with the max quake/airstream/whirmwind for attack lowers and stab damage and ofc max guard to stall another’s dynamax who tries to counter it
I think regular was such a waste of a mega. Flygon, who actually really NEEDED a mega because it’s slipping down the tiers, should’ve got one. Garchomp is already a killing machine - oh wait, that’s metagross the other gen3 pseudo- garchomp is a killing monster.
In my opinion the megas better it can still take a hit like ice beam which has 90 power and mega garchomp has 95 special defence that 10 special there helps a bit just watch out for Abomasnow
Well... My opinion on these 2 pokemon I would go with mega on design but overall i would go with the standard Pokemon because the normals ability is just so much better..
I've got an idea that would also probably work, give Garchomp access to DD. Swords Dance is nice and all but it really only complements base chomp's speed. Dragon Dance would fix Mega chomp's speed as well as boost its massive attack stat.
