As our lovely Grand Canal continues to be plagued by ugly fencing that does nothing but vandalise our beautiful city, Take Back Our Spaces Coalition did just that and liberated a section of the canal for an impromptu music session mixed with some speeches.
Gardaí were quick on the scene to protect the poor vulnerable fences but with media cameras trained on them, orders went around to just stand idly by, only intervening to attempt to re-errect an injured barrier
Must feel good to be protecting private property erected on and blocking off public space. An Garda Réadmhaoine
