This is something I wanna do. Just sitting in front of a fire and a glass of wine and hanging with friends it's so calming and the work is so worth it in the end. Absolutely beautiful pieces of art you make everytime. Great job
I've noticed that the sound of the stitching is so relaxing and comforting that just listening to your videos at work helps me concentrate. I feel the same way hearing roses being pruned. Thanks for the tutorials and the lovely sound embroidery makes.
I taught myself how to embroider from my great grandmother’s supplies after she passed. All of those instructions were said to use only 2 threads of the floss (maybe because of being conservative due to the time period?) Yours adds so much more dimension and life. I also see how to make French knots ( I couldn’t truly do them - so I tied a knot !!! LOL 😆) You are an artist and lovely teacher! I am looking forward to gathering my supplies and begin again. It took me 3 minutes in the video to realize that the piano song was peter pan by exo. Love that song so much and your embroidery is so beautiful! I hope to do this one day

I was just wondering why I can sing along with the music though I set the pace of the vdo at 2x. Then I set it at normal and I found these awesome songs which I always keep on humming.. I'm making a comparison between the mess on "wrong side" to our lives. (Pls Take down if inappropriate, my intention is not to offend anyone,...just an analogy but it may offend those who are irreligious. So, if inappropriate, I apologize, please forgive me, and ask to take down. I am sorry. Thanks. I wanted to put up, but not to offend.) So..................................Yes, the side we think is the wrong side, does look like a mess, however, and in fact that side represents our lives. All we see is that side, full of knots, stops, starts & different colors. Exactly like life. God sees the beautiful embroidery that we will see one day in heaven that He has been creating through our character, events , tragedies & responses to said tragedies, etc. All we see right is the "WRONG SIDE." THE MESS. Try to remember the CREATOR of the design of your life has a beautiful pattern in mind, but you can't see it now, but one day when you leave the earth, if you are a Christian, the Bible says "all things will be revealed" and then we can see "THE RIGHT SIDE" of the embroidery design, THE WAY WE SHOULD HAVE ALWAYS SAW IT, had Adam and Eve not sinned, and then on that day, we will see, IT IS AND WAS BEAUTIFUL...THE GOOD, THE BEST, THE BAD AND REALLY UGLY AND THE VERY SAD...and yet now, seeing the way God meant me to see it, my life it so BEAUTIFUL. In fact, in spite of the PAIN, to see this now, I wouldn't change a thing, even if I could have. Thank You Lord!
Actually I used to make my backs too neat until I realized I occasionally had to give it a clean or even hand wash. It was then more important that the stitches did not come loose so now mine look like a train wreck. The neatness on the front is what counts.
I really like how hand embroidery looks and it looks like its very fun. I do knit and started to sew and I am thinking of starting to hand embroidery but I'm wondering what you do with it after you finish a piece.. I only see pictures with it still in the ring or it is on already existing clothing.. I do like it but if you make it on these fabrics what do you do with it?
OMG, beautiful! Do you use the floss as a whole? You said use 1/2 in one place, right? Can you do this on any kind of fabric or does it have to be a loosely woven type? Thanks for sharing your amazing talent!
Any fabric could work, but it's recommended to stay away from stretch and synthetic fabrics. So things like 100% cotton are great, and I think she mainly uses 100% linen in these videos.

When finished they can be framed or whatever you should plan. The back is covered most times once finished. usually so nice. My mom used to do Punch Embroidery. I have dabbled with this but not made my own stencil and drawing etc like this to begin. I have purchased it when they are done already. Stamped on the material to do. Love this idea. NEVER did it this way and cannot wait to try it!! So nice.
