Thanks Linda. I like your reflections about things that inspired you to implement in your garden. Like the story of the TJ fish pond when you visited your son in college. Also, the sentimentality of collecting bricks in honour of your dear late mother. And the “borrowing” of seeds from the Munich Beer House. Traveling inspires us to incorporate so much in our own little paradise. I also love your diction and how you explain everything and the history of your home and where things were acquired.
Beautiful Sunday morning Linda (if I may call you Linda)! I adore your gardening style loose and flowing. You have sparked a desire to do topiaries and I thank you they are a beautiful addition to my garden. Thank you for sharing.
The soft yellows and blues in the Fish Pond are beautiful, and the potted topiary just anchors it all perfectly. The presentation is just frothy! Would love to see it when the bulbs are blooming, and will search your previous videos for a peek at the bulbs in bloom. Thanks again for a pleasant trip through your gardens.
Recently found your channel and Love your garden. I love the topiaries so much I have bought some boxwoods and giving it a try......looking forward to your starter tip video.......
I am so envious of the rain you're getting! Still no rain here in my English Garden - who would have thought it? The overcast conditions makes for some lovely soft light on your garden. I like that spirea you've got Linda - I must look it up.
Just lovely. The brick outline reminds me of my grandmother's garden beds, love it. I've been know to also collect bricks, when people are willing to give it away how can I pass on free garden materials. lol
Love the sentimental elements! Also working little areas at a time make so much sense! I use to try to work the whole area at one time, which I did when I was way younger, not anymore
I’m a new subscriber and I now feel I have someone with whom I am gardening. Your style really speaks to me. My comment (other than on how fab the video/garden is!)-Linda be careful about piling up too much wood to avoid creating a termite hotel. I’ve been researching those critters to determine the needs for our 1920’s house. Mostly brick (looks like you have brick as well), but plenty of wood structures. I’m not sure at what distance from the house a wood pile becomes an issue.
Thank you Linda! I'm looking forward to the boxwood starts video. Is there a green velvet in your boxwood theatre? You inspired me to get some! I live in a zone 4 and saw them at my local nursery and fell in love. Thank you for sharing your love of topiaries and knowledge of the how to. It's broadened my gardening perspective and brought me immense joy to trim my little boxwoods and admire them, even in my zone. Thanks for opening up the possibilities! 💚🌿
Love the tree canopy.., red maple & red bud, I’m starting from scratch .. what other trees do have in this section? I also like the mix of pots throughout. Very nice!.. Thank you.
What about some rocks in the hanging basket as a longer-lasting solution instead of the bark? I initially thought the pieces of bark were rocks, anyway.
What a treat! Thank you so much for teaching us! I love the Boston Ivy. Sometime would you address what ivy’s to use where? For example fences and houses? Thank you!
Lovely! How deep is the gravel in the area where the plants self-seed? Do you add compost to the area? I love the look of the gravel, but it seems like it would make it difficult to work in the bed.
I love topiaries and your garden is exceptional. You also have beautiful pots. I live in Hawaii and we have limited vendors that have good selection of pots. Please recommend an online vendor that will ship it to me? I have to get plastic, resin or anything unbreakable. Home Depot doesnt deliver here. Lowe's has a few. Please advice. Thank you!
Just began watching today's video, but stopped long enough to tell you I am having trouble hearing you speak in your last few videos. I have my volume all the way up to maximum, but am still straining to hear you. Love your videos, and want to hear every little thing you say!!!
I love your garden and was so excited but the fish pond today...I am always looking for a “point d ‘eau” as the French would say. , a spot of water to round your garden out!
Just watch your video and loved it, do you live in the same town as Paul James the Gardener Guy? Saw him twice at a lawn and garden show. I enjoy looking at your topiary and see how you start on them. Wish my yard was enclosed , mine is wide open to the world (HOA). Look forward to the next video, keep them coming. Stay safe and busy with your topiaries
Hi Linda, your garden is heavenly. I was wondering, can you recommend some small trees? Our backyard has no shade, it's hotter than you know what (here in Memphis) and ... we have power lines to deal with. I would LOVE to have the shade you have but I'm so uncertain about what trees to plant. Thank you!!
Love your style. Cozy and relaxing feel. I love how it is perfectly imperfect. How do you keep the weeds from coming through the gravel ? Especially when everything runs togeather.
Compost or put into the back of the garden where they can’t be seen but would mulch plants snd break down over time. Would also provide habitat for birds in thanks :-)
Olá Linda desde Portugal,o seu jardim é tão verde e fresco o que não acontece no meu, pois o sol nesta altura do ano é brutal.. ..queima as flores e folhas..
