I was surprised the Raiders didn't go with O'Connell. Not that he didn't have major issues to work on but I thought I remembered some real excitement about him at the end of last season-in his last four games he threw 8 touchdowns and 0 interceptions! But glad to see the old vet doing well.

Great breakdown. I always appreciate when you have the Silver And Black on tape. I know it’s a QB breakdown, but I really wish you would have noted the fact that Maxx, pulled Minshew aside after that interception and his play improved after halftime. Maybe an adjustment, maybe a confidence booster from the guy that called him little ass boy once.

Pundits love to couch Minshew as "serviceable backup, at best" but I'm ALWAYS rooting for this guy. I"m anxious to see the Raiders build the entire playbook around this guy this year and, with their weapons, see how he performs. I'll say this, if Joe Flacco can win a SB, Gardner can. Trent Dilfer, why not Minshew?

Wasn't really a Minshew guy, but he's proving me wrong so far. Hoping that we will see the real Minshew Magic as the season goes on. I'm predicting a Trey Tucker breakout game this week. DA is proving that he's still willing to lay out for this team and Bowers has served notice that he's a BIG problem. If those 2 keep drawing a lot of attention, Tucker is going to have his opportunities.

Small note, 87 is Mayers 89 is bowers. On film zoomed out they look the same but Bowers is a little smaller and faster and I feel like more trusted at this point

JT is coming around on Gardner a bit. Gardner is small, not the most athletic, and has below average arm strength but he’s really smart and knows how to play. Love me some Minshew. Enjoyed the breakdown.

I know this is a QB breakdown, but the *only* problem with the Raiders Offense is the O-Line Bowers was an un-coverable one-man-army in college & through 2 Pro games, that hasn't changed. Adams has been an uncoverable nightmare in the NFL for 10 years & that hasn't changed. If & or When that line cna figure it out, the Raiders will have one of the most dangerous Offenses in the league.

I think he also regretted not taking that second option on the int play, and had decided to throw as he's looking at the third (and worse) option. It was 100% a mental error.

Well I have seen the winning formula for the Raiders on offense is Raiders passing game with the keys being Adams, Bowers and of course Minshew to open up the offense and exploit defenses which should open up the run and other receivers, pass catching running backs and or other Tight Ends such as Meyers so its backwards this year Raiders must pass to open up the run and other creative play calls involving deep threats such as: Tucker and DJ turner heck maybe get the rookie Mcalister involved as well! Minshew has always been a gun slinger type QB that can extend plays let Minshew sling the rock and Crosby thank you for talking up Minshew after that int he needed to know team has his back!

I’ve never understood why this guy is talked about like he’s a career backup and nothing else. It seems like every year you can watch him and see he’s one of the best 32 QB’s in the league. No question. Maybe he’s not great, I don’t know, but you can’t convince me there are 32 guys currently doing it better. No chance.

I think the problem is Minshew is GOOD, but not a Franchise QB, as he's a bit too inconsistent, and teams are focused on finding that Franchise QB, so Minshew then just gets viewed as a bridge QB at best until they find someone better, even though he's better than a good number of the younger starting QB's that some teams are trying to make into Franchise QB's.

Bowers is read #1, Adams better stop dropping passes. They can complement each other very well but no more drops. He's wearing silicone gloves, super sticky. No excuses. Bowers is Tecmo Bowl. Look at his lower leg development. Raiders need to just keep feeding them the ball. If it's not there Meyers is going to feast because he's no slouch. No more running the ball so predictably. Shoot & run offense.

I love Minshew, but I wouldn't say MOST. He's definitely better than a good number of the starters people don't consider backups though, while Minshew continues to be labeled as just a backup.

The mistakes minshew made in the first half was because he wasn’t trusting his o-line. The second half you could tell he felt a lot more comfortable and he started to sling the ball.

Excellent!!👍…. This makes a regular fan like me that doesn’t know how to watch film understand things….. Bowers, Adams, Minschew are all playing complementary football… each player helps the other…. The defense almost has to pick its poison ☠️? Adams or Bowers… then maybe Meyers, Mayer, and Tucker deep…. The Ravens are a good Defense but the route running and Minschew extending plays made the Ravens look shaky? They’re doing this with no real running game…. Last in the league… But when you have receivers like that? …… Great Stuff …. Thanks 👍!

Good game by minshew, but let's be real the defense and adam won the game. Minshew never steps up pocket to make the strike. If he can read the defense better and anticipate the throw more, he will be good qb. He is who he is with those noodle arms. It won't get us to the playoff or even win one.

not a big fan of some of sht Gardner pulled off the field, but if the name of the game is just win doesnt matter how then Gardner did it. All my dmazz friends gave me sht when i said Rich Gannon was a great pickup. Yeah cause most people are drp as sht. Theres no formula to being a great band or a great QB. Theres no right way to do things if its having an impact. Can Garner just win ugly well i say hes going to have some struggles but he gets the job done even though hes a little um no comment and not a great passer. End of the day do you get that yard stick marker when u need it. The raiders defense is good enough that maybe garner can win, we shall see.
