@@MrRAGE-md5rj I think what works is the idea that Garfield is essentially just some guy in his 30's trapped in the body of a cat, which makes him just a little bit funnier when you think that he's lazy miserable and out of shape that the voice fits so well.
What’s more amazing is the fact Lorenzo Music had not prior experience voice acting for animation. Before Garfield, he was a writer on a sitcom and cameoed in it as the intercom voice of a mailman character.
Coz it's the only language in the world people are forced to learn to get somewhere new in life regarding the consequences of their actions. And that's why I want to learn how to be multilingual than just plain ol' ass English that's hard to understand, even here in America.
Mark Evanier turned an inoffensive comic strip into one of the funniest shows on TV. A shame his Garfield Show scripts couldn't live up to his Garfield and Friends scripts. Lorenzo Music was Garfield. Garfield was Lorenzo Music. Perfectly delivered Garfield's snark while capturing Garf's "I don't care" attitude.
The show is probably what solidified my love for Garfield and i think of that as my reason for my favorite color being orange. I try to watch the Halloween and Christmas specials on those holidays every year. If i can get an orange cat w/ black stripes someday, i may even name them Garfield.

I still love this show I now realize there some adult humor mixed in which I didn't know as a kid but none the less this show is still hilarious especially with Lorenzo Music voicing Garfield 😅😅😅😂😂😂😂
2:41 quick geography lesson: assuming Garfield lives in the U.S. (apparently Indiana, where Jim Davis was born), Egypt would probably be closer to their house than Abu Dhabi (which is in the UAE), but on the other hand, Garfield probably doesn’t know a lot about geography because he’s a cat.
Garfield and Friends was the show that defined my Saturday mornings as a child. Man, I miss the 90s. Thanks for this awesome compilation. Garfield's sarcastic one liners are the best.
both the 80s comics and the show have a lot of wit and are genuinely funny, but from the episodes i've seen of G&F, it definitely has a lot more funny and clever jokes than the comics. pretty sure it had a lot more writers than just Jim Davis and his team working on the comics so it's probably gonna be the most well-written out of the two

@absolutemystery372 His dialogue and words are from his mind. It's just us exploring what he would be saying, if he did talk and verbally communicate. It's the same thing with Snoopy. Snoopy's dialogue from the comics were from his mind. Same for Garfield.
