I would definitely buy it at launch if they remake Garfield's Nightmare or make a Garfield's Nightmare 2. Speaking of which, I have an idea for a remake. The title of this game would be called Garfield's Worst Nightmare. It features all 20 levels of the original as well as 20 new levels, in which 16 of them can be unlocked by finding a special key in all the existing levels and then finding a door to use the key in order to access the new levels (the keys replace the hidden lives in the secret areas and the door is found at the end of each level). If you beat each boss without getting hit, you will be able to unlock 4 extra bosses. The levels will have a world map like New Super Mario Bros where you can access the levels at anytime even after completing them, unlike the original. The credits is then moved to a separate menu and can be viewed as many times as you like once you complete the main game, but the original ds game replaced your save file with the credits once you beat it. There are even 3 collectables each in all 32 regular levels, making the game last longer. After you lose 5 lives in a row at a time, a box will appear in a level, giving the player the ability to play as Garfield and Odie (Garfield riding Odie). This makes the levels a lot easier to complete as with the help of Odie, they are both immune to all enemies and can narrowly avoid falling into the liquid only once, because the second time they fall into the liquid, it kills both characters and the player loses a life. What's more, Odie can even run through the levels, unlike Garfield. Also, when you beat all 40 levels and collect all 96 collectibles, a never before seen comic strip will play. In that comic, Garfield will thank the player for playing the game. The 3 minigames from the original will return as well as 5 new ones (more on that in the future). The game will also feature full voice acting by Frank Welker during the tutorials and comic strip scenes, updated visuals and music, corrects the 5 slices of pizza typo at the beginning of the game, a Start Game + option that makes the game more difficult, and allows the minigames to be played with the buttons. The game will be available on PS4*, PS5, Xbox One***, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mobile. It will even be the last ever game to release on 3DS, Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360**, PS3**** and PS Vita (and a very limited special re-release of the game on DS, with only 1000 copies ever made, which is exactly the same game as the original but features the extra 20 levels from the other versions being available on a separate Special Mode after you beat the game.). *VR optional. **Kinect optional ***PS Move optional

One of the other Garfield DS games, Garfield Gets Real, makes me wish I broke a DS, all over that god-awful broken studio level. But I would rather break the cartridge, so no poor soul will ever have the misfortune of having to play it again.

Me, in fact, I found and bought a complete copy of the game in between the first and second lockdown during 2020 while looking for games to buy, especially since I only had it on an R4 cartridge that had a fraction of all the DS games they had at the time during my childhood. Since then, I found a loose copy at the same store I got my original copy months later, and its still there to this day.

Me. Every R4 I ever had as a kid had this on there amongst 150 or so other full-price retail games. I loved it so much that years after the last R4 I had broke I found a copy at my local Cash Converters (which has since closed) for $5 in 2020.

Well the DS is one of the most emulated portables ever along with the PSP. There is another way to capture DS footage but is expensive and requires a technical skill few know: modding the 3DS (the 3DS is completely backwards compatible with it's predecessor just like the Wii U is with the Wii) to have a capture card in it. Obviously this is by emulator because the Screens are equally sized.(when you use the modded 3DS the top Screen would be bigger in size compared to the touch screen)

I always thought the same, if you remove Garfield, there's nothing in the game that could tell you it's a Garfield game (beside Pookie appearing on the windows in the first level). You never see Odie, Nermal, Jon, etc. And that's a shame because the game is still pretty fun to play (i loved it as a kid lol) and the castle music are sooo good
