GARGOYLES - Original Show Pitch 

Wow, from this pitch came one of the best Disney animated series ever made! As a film & animation buff, this certainly gives one an idea on how to pitch a new show or a film to a studio. So yeah, take a lesson from this, film & animation students. It just might help you in your careers.

I laughed my ass off the minute I saw young Greg. Night and Day man. I'm so used to seeing Old Greg.

Hands down this has to be one of the most well written shows (not including season 3 of course) than any other tv shows in the last 20 years, from character biography, character interaction with one another to plot and location all of those things led to an almost perfect series. If you stories from ancient times ,sorcery, villains that become friends, love and betrayal than you'll love gargoyles

I keep coming back to this, all these years later just for the hit of dopamine. What a great moment in time.

I wish Disney will rebooted Gargoyles as a animated series again.also, Top 8 things for a Gargoyles Reboot: 1.More Darker Tone 2.More Dramatic and Humorus 3.Better Artwork and Character Design 4.New Characters 5.More Shakeapeare and Mythical themes 6.it contains more Science Fiction and Fantasy elements 6.Original characters will return 8.New Voice Cast with some old actor from the original cartoon

How much does anyone wanna bet that what sold the pitch was that last picture of the kid with the Mickey Mouse hat and balloon?

The series with those early Gargoyle drawings would have been awesome....i like how it ended up but those were crazy!

I think I speak for every fan, I guess it could be consider the Worldwide Clan, when I say please, if Disney has any shred of the humanity that made this series great, please, for the love of Avalon and all things sacred, bring this back, make a live-action movie, do something, just don't let it go the way of any great classic, letting it gather moss, frozen in stone for the rest of time. And yes, I know there's a comic, but it just doesn't feel like enough.

I am SO glad the character design was changed, but the picture of Goliath reading a book and sitting on Brooklyn, Lexington, and Broadway to keep them out of trouble was kind of funny.

I TOTALLY AGREE! I hope Disney or some one comes out with either an animated full length feature or like you said a live action film. If someone does I really REALLY hope it's better than the dreck that almost always comes from Hollywood.

Oh god, I had forgotten about this show! It was my absolute favorite when I was four! Seriously, only thing that could get me up in the morning :) I miss it so much...

It stinks the show just ended. I really enjoyed it and would have liked some of the stories to be wrapped up a bit more. Maybe 1-2 more seasons added before finally ending. Unfortunately nowadays you barley ever see the show on except at like 5 in the morning or so.

Hands down the coolest thing that ever came from Disney.

Disney still owns the rights, they just gave a licence to the comics publisher to make the comics. The comic was cancelled because Disney raised their licensing fees

Gargoyles is one of my favorite shows due to the amazing, detailed writing. But I would have given his series a chance, just based on how handsome Greg Weisman was/is.

@Bigman961000 I don't believe so. He's apparently producing an animated series for Warner Bros. called "Young Justice", which is coming out shortly. Bit of a drag that it's a DC Comics show instead of original content, but with our man Weisman involved, it should be pretty good.

I been thinking it would be cool since Greg Weisman owns the rights again since he is makeing the comics that he remake the show starting at a redo of season 3 & base the stories from his comics

Thats exactly wat i had in mind.. a live action gargoyles movie, seeing as how they'v gotten so good with cgi.. take "hellboy" for example.. but hollywood would surly ruin it, like they have most movies about cartoons.. ex. dragonball

Watching this just reminds me of how assbackwards Disney was and still is. An animation powerhouse since the 1930's, yet they followed the same formula decade after decade: anthropomorphic woodland creatures, sudden bursts into song, simple morality, etc. Even with Pixar today it's the same crap, with the addition of the snarky double-entendres designed to keep parents from falling into a coma. When I saw Gargoyles, I thought maybe Disney finally got with it. But alas, they treated this wonderful show like some bastard Cinderella. Poor marketing, budget cuts, and an eventual loss of focus in an unstable time slot on Saturday mornings marked the end. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy classic Disney, but they are, in the end, nothing but whores pandering toys and theme parks to the perpetual influx of children we keep producing for them.
