Garlic Paste is so easy in a Thermomix 

Hi Andrew. Yes, the transportation mode locks the bowl in place to protect the bowl, blade and lid (and arms) from moving around and being damaged in transit. It doesn't have anything to do with the scales or internal workings of the Thermomix so it is ok to move around on the bench without it on. I am so pleased you are enjoying the videos :)

You can freeze it, or make sure it has a layer of oil covering it if you are leaving it in the fridge

Depends on what jar and how dirty the lid. I use it both ways 😀

Hi Jacq. I tend to use mine within a few weeks but make sure it has a layer of oil ontop, however I suggest that if you are worried, then do freeze it in icecream cube trays then take out what you need as you need it :)
