Nice presentation. This video would be half as long if the group would have paid better attention and stopped asking the same questions over and over. You handled it like a pro. Can you please clarify why I would use Traditional view versus ClearVu?
If your 741xs doesn't start up, check your power fuse holder for corrosion. The tin on the fuse connector corrodes and causes a loss of continuity. Clean it off and try start up again. It basically causes low voltage drop out.
If I selected save a track, then turn the unit off ,say to dock up for lunch, once I turn the unit back on do I have to tell it to save tracks again or will it continue to save until I tell it to stop saving ?
Hey there. I just got another 1243xsv to pair with a 943. Is it possible to share custom combo views or do you have to make custom views for each unit?
I just think it's a shame how judgemental people choose to be. Everyone starts somewhere. I'm just glad that people want to learn despite this type of criticism.
Try using active captain app, you can upload your purchased Maps to it and get the same relief details. But none the less, Navionics is easier to use which is weird since Garmin owns that company.
After watching this I am so happy that I have Raymarine on my main boat. I have GARMIN on a lake pontoon and it is terrible. Raymarine is much easier to configure and the flow of their screens is so much simpler. I am a power user so it’s not like I’m a newbie.
I've had my Garmin Echomap Plus 94SV for over a year now and still haven't figured out how to update it. My computer does not have an SD slot as small as the micro one they use in the unit. I "think" I have my active captain app from my Iphone linked but sure enough before I could proceed it now tells me I have to get a 32gb MICRO SD card---so I had to order one. My question now is, it has a micro SD card in it already but it's a 4gb---I have no idea what it's for. Once I get the 32 GB do I remove the 4gb, place the 32gb in the slot, update, and then remove the 32 and put back the 4GB? Very confusing.THX Bill

Choose “Update Software” • The update will begin updating the connected device as well as any other compatible accessories or devices present on the NMEA 2000 or Garmin Marine Network. IMPORTANT: Do not remove the software update card until the device fully reboots and "I Agree" has been selected on the Warning screen. Removing the software update card before the process has finished may corrupt the operating system and may cause the device to become inoperable. @@we4659 Yes, even wrote their service tech up. I have four of their products, two fish finders and two gps devices. In fact, I purchased one of their first gps devices, and it put me off a mile and a half. Thank God, I carried a topo map and compass. Garmin admitted they had a software glitch and fixed it. I was happy, shit happens and they fixed it, but when someone is rude and doesn't intend to help, and throws insults, I'm not going to stand for that, ever. I don't care how good of products they have, if I believe their service is poor, I won't ever purchase a product from that company again. In my case, I believe it was one rude support tech, but if it happens again, I'm done.
