I'm also from Western North Carolina. I have two Garmin 93sv with GT54 transducers, I have LiveScope with LS32 transducer. I have a Solix 12 with Mega 360. I use Clearvu on my console to find fish and structure. I use LiveScope on my trolling motor 90% of the time. I use Mega 360 about 100% of the time. I've been debating doing some RU-vid videos of on the water applications. When these Garmin units are setup properly it's amazing. I can tell the difference between yellow perch, white bass, and bass. I'm an offshore fisherman most of the year. LiveScope takes about a year to fine tune. I'm an advanced electronics user. I was offshore fishing in the 1990's with a 5" black and white Lowrance unit. I thought LiveScope was going to be easy. It is and it's not. LiveScope will make you adjust how you fish. It takes time to adjust. Give it a year so you can fish it in all 4 seasons. LiveScope will also change your beliefs about fishing and fish behavior. Example bass can spawn in 12 to 15ft deep in clear water. Some bass will move to pockets but a lot will spawn between docks in 12 to 15ft next to the ledges. You are on the most fun journey in fishing.
I will definitely be upgrading to livescope here in the near future! I feel like it would definitely help me find the fish more often. Then it really comes down to what the fish will bite. A goal of mine this year is to improve my offshore fishing and I feel like this fish finder will help a lot. You definitely should make some videos people would love that! Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
I appreciate your channel. The journey of learning offshore fishing is awesome. There are days I can catch 100 white bass in 30ft of water. All my trophy Large Mouth have come out of 30 to 45ft deep. I just upgraded my Garmin's to 12 inch units today.
You’ll love it! I’m so glad I got mine it’s definitely helped me catch more fish whenever I’m out on the water. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
Great video showing all the features of the Garmin Echomap 93SV. I just got mine on a labor day sale from West Marine (great price with added Coastal US map for free) and I can't wait to have it installed on my Hurricane Sundeck boat. I will definitely have the NMEA 2000 connection set-up for the Suzuki engine analysis and fuel consumption data. It was a choice between this unit and the Simrad GO9 and I was convinced to go with the Garmin because it is more user friendly.
It’s a game changer having the Garmin Echomap 93SV on your boat you’ll love it! Those will definitely be some useful features for you for what you’re wanting to use it for. Garmin is definitely very user friendly and there’s many videos out there to help you learn how to use it. I plan on uploading some more videos talking about how to use the fish tinder in the near future. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
Thank you I really appreciate you watching! You’ll definitely love it I plan on making some more videos on tips when using the fish finder and a series on how to read a fish finder. Let me know how it goes and what you think once you get it installed!
Great video and it's definitely an awesome unit! Thanks for sharing the details of it. I'm sure it has really helped you. Keep up the good work my friend. And as always, #RiverRatProductions rocks!!!
It’s definitely helped me catch more fish whenever I’m out on the water. I can’t wait to use it more and catch some giant bass! Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
I was debating some hummingbird units when I first got the fish finder and ultimately decided on Garmin. Hummingbird definitely has some nice units though! Thank you for watching I really appreciate it
The LVS32 and the LVS34 is the transducer for livescope. I have the GT54 transducer for my clear vu, side vu, and traditional. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
What speed are you going when on plane? It might be because of the water hitting the transducer if you’re going too fast. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
Yes they do have the contour lines and good details! It’s definitely worth it in my opinion especially with how detailed they are. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
You know I didn’t even think about how the different resolutions would be on the 73sv or the bigger models. Personally, I really love this fish finder but I sit pretty close to it when I’m in my kayak so I haven’t really paid attention to the resolution too much. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
Are you using that inside? I just bought a boat that had 2 of these on it and I wanted to check it out in my office since it is 20 degrees outside, but am having trouble getting something to power it up inside.
Yes you can put it in simulation mode! I normally put it in simulation mode to get some more practice using the fish finder. I have another video on the channel that talks about 5 garmin Echomap UHD 93SV tips that shows you how to put it in simulation mode. Thank you for watching and let me know if you need any help with your fish finder
It’s mainly used to see cover and structure on different bodies of water. It also really useful for finding fish and being able to navigate around easier. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
Please SHOW how you set these filters etc…just saying it doesn’t help a new Garmin owner. You lost me at the first few minutes. I see the in the lower left corner changes in the cone..how and why do I adjust that?
Are you talking about the colored depth shading? I plan on making a more in depth video talking about more of my settings in depth. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it
Does anyone know of you can use the same power cable from the battery to run the 93sv and the panoptix livescope. I currently have an 8awg cable running from the battery to the 93sv or do I have to run a different cable? Thanks in advance.
I’m not too sure to be honest with you I think they need their own power supply but I could be completely wrong about it. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
