Regarding "lock screen" function that's not how it works. After enabled on any screen other than the main screen, after about 3 minutes it will roll back to main page although the screen is locked. And, to unlock, you can long press any button, rather than only the "light" button. 😉
Hello, I bought Fenix 3 HR to minimize my day and all the sport that I practice, but I can not find an application for when I go to the gym to do bodybuilding and group classes, for example crossfit. You can help choose one or more applications. Greetings.
I am thinking of getting a Fenix 3 today. The Fenix 3 gray. I have had the Fenix line, have sent it back, have purchased it again, and recently had the Fenix 5 and was not impressed with it. I miss the Fenix. So I am thinking of getting the Fenix 3 gray and I have to ask, since you have had it and apparently have done a ton of things with yours, I am just a guy that wears it every day, but I am not an outdoors type. I wear it and what I mostly do is weightlifting. Since it is an older version, but still buying it new from Amazon at 350, would you say that it is still a good buy today? I called Garmin and they claim they will still be supporting it.
Lavier, thank you very much for the comment. I can say with 100% certainty that it is still a good piece of wearable tech today. The fitness metrics, workout customization options, data/workout recording features and EXTREMELY durable construction make the Fenix 3 a fantastic watch for lifting weights. At $350 it is a tremendous buy. Buy the chest heart rate strap as well, for about $40 or so if you wish to monitor your heart rate. Good luck!

First...I apologize for taking so long to reply. This watch, the Garmin Fenix 3 is the ultramarathoner of watches as far as battery life is concerned. During normal everyday wear, with minimal use of GPS and other battery-draining functions, it regularly lasts at least a week and sometimes up to 9 days. If you use the GPS and run an activity such as Hike while outdoors, connected to your cellphone via Bluetooth and receiving email and text message notifications, your Garmin Fenix 3 will last about 20-30hrs. This depends heavily on the amount of GPS data received as well as connections to external devices such as the Tempe thermometer or chest heart rate monitor. Overall, this watch is extremely thrifty when it comes to battery consumption. I highly recommend it if you want a great piece of wearable tech!
Hey man I have the fenix 3 sapphire silver edition coming in the mail from airmiles points but it isn't coming with the heart rate strap. Do you know if the straps are expensive? I was thinking of getting the hrm-tri strap.
googleboughtmee Yup, there's a Skinomi screen protector on it. The craters are from strong bug spray I'd used on a hiking trip a couple weeks earlier....didn't notice them until some time later...
Great vid! I love this watch! Using my phone to view the app, in bike activity there was a 1-400 mile counter. When I reached 400 mi it just changed color and keeps counting up .(558 of 400 mi) Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Andrea Poleo Leal For Data Screens you may select 1, 2, 3 or 4 fields. Do this by long pressing the "Up" button, "Settings", "Apps" , then the app you wish to edit, then "Data Screens", then the screen you wish to edit, then "Layout", then the "Up" or "Down" button to show different number of data field layouts.
