I just bought a 106SV for the bow and a 126SV for the console for my Bass Cat and they are great. I am still trying to figure them out. I ran Lowrance for 20 years and I am very happy switching over to Garmin.
The system does not acquire the location of the place. Before, I used to identify the actual location because the chip had the location of the Caribbean area. Now the system shows USA location only.
Just found this channel great job and super great info. To follow up on the two transducer qustion you answered about running 2 LiveScopes. I run my Garmin on a turet and I run my Lorance Reval 7 on the trolling motor. Is that going to cause any interverance if they are like 2 feet apart?
Hi I fish in Australia. I have an ECHOMAP UHD 95SV. I’ve been having a lot of trouble when I’m on the fishing chart trying to go to a waypoint. The map spins around when I’m at rest. I have the setting on head up cog with the compass on magnetic north. I know which way I’m facing but the map says facing the complete opposite with the little north arrow that’s in the top right hand corner. Do I need a separate sensor that has a more accurate compass.
I was looking for a bird radar and was told the GMR 424 XHD2 Open Array would be good....however, the video speaks to the other models and not this one. Can you explain why the data sheet says it works for locating birds, but the seminar does not recommend it? Obviously there is a big price difference between the various models. Also, am I correct by saying that another main difference is the direction of the moving target is color coded red/green only on the Fantom Series and not found on the XHD2? Would it be accurate to state that all targets are then the same color on the XHD2? Is there the possibility of an upgrade or settings config to the XHD2 to have different colors assigned to moving targets towards v away? Thanking you in advance.
Hi, here are my numbers, i am located in Jersey UK where it's home to the largest rocky intertidal range in Europe, the coordinates on the new Garmin Echomap 75cv UHD with Navionic data are ..N49deg 11' 060" x W002deg 16'201" my old Echomap 70s is absolutely spot on and the numbers are .. N49deg 10' 932" x W002deg 15' 965" check them out as i can't believe they are the only ones which are incorrect, i have cross referenced the numbers on iphones with garmin Navionic data and they are the same as Echomap 75cv UHD with navionics. to be that far out in the highest tidal range in Europe is alarming. everything out there is not what it seems.
@@GarminInt Hi Garmin, When i refer to "heads" it is what we call rocks under the surface, The story is i purchased a new Garmin Echomap 75cv UHD from a Garmin supplier, i fitted it in place of my old Garmin Echomap 70s, when i went out to my local fishing spots all seemed well showing the land and our local lighthouse in correct position, but when i was fishing over Green rock in the coordinates given i was fishing over sand, the reason i know this is because i run a Striker 7 sonar fish finder alongside which is spot on, i fished in an area 1200 ft radius and could not find the rock, "heads" i went over to another large head where i fish and that just did not fish right, i took the Lat/Long and went back the next day and still couldn't find the green rock, it was showing on the 75cv that i was directly above it, the next day i put my old 70s back on and the Lat/Long was different as my first posting numbers,it didn't change one little bit if i was stationary or in transit it was 1350ft out of true, i gave the 75cv numbers to a number of guys back in port and they crossed referenced on their iphones and new Garmin navionic plotters and their numbers on green rock coincided with the new Navioncs numbers on the 75cv which were out of true, one fellow boater didn't believe me and went there physically in his boat and he confirmed what i was saying, old charts and maps and the old cartography was correct but the new Garmin Echomap 75cv UHD with Navionic data was out, other rocks and objects were in, but not Green rock, surely this rock is not the only one incorrectly mapped in the world, needless to say i took it back to supplier and he hooked them both up and cross referenced the numbers and confirmed it was not fit for purpose" yet Garmin are still selling them , just hope there are no accidents due to wrong data. regards.
Wellllll, since you insist, I intend to improve my sonar capabilities with the next Covid 19 check. Here's what I'd like. My boat: 18 ft aluminum walk-thru quasi bass boat with a bow seat and a Minn-Kota Powerdrive. I fish some shallower water, but predominately 30+ feet trolling for walleye, rainbows, and smallmouth. I'm looking at a Garmin Echomap 73SV Plus. I'd like to use the transducer that is included with the sonar, but I'd like a bow mount sonar for low speed work. I will be lifting the forward transducer out of the water when the Minn-Kota comes up and out. Please suggest an appropriate transducer for the bow position. Bear in mind I'm a limited (very) budget fisherman. Do I have to disconnect mechanically the forward transducer when it's out of the water? Can that be done on screen without a physical wire disconnect? I intend to fabricate a transducer mount that lifts out of the water. I do not intend to mount the transducer onto the Minn-Kota. Suggestions, please?
