Hello, how do I speed up the sounder scroll speed on my Garmin 8612’s? I’m usually fishing in 120’ of water, & the target structure will still be slowly scrolling across the screen sometimes several minutes after I’ve passed over it. Any help would be be greatly appreciated.👍🏻
I have a 943 xsv with a Airmar 1kw thru hull ducer that loses bottom once I'm offshore in 1000+ft. How do I limit my sonar return to just the upper 500ft of the water column? I am trying to target Bluefin, yellowfin, yellowtail and dorado
Excellent overview of the settings. Can you guys put something together on customizations for different situations as pre-sets? ie. bottom-fishing setup, cruising setup with 2 transducers, contour fishing etc. I see a couple of presets from the factory but don't know *why* various settings would be used in diff situations.

Hi. There is a grounding screw on the back of the GPSMAP 8410 xsv. It is recommended to run a wire from the screw to the engine anode on the transom. What is your opinion on the matter . Thank you.

Hi Mehmet, Harder targets are going to show the strongest returns in the red color. The thicker the red return, usually the harder the bottom is. If you'd like to discuss this in further detail, our marine support team is available at the following link: bit.ly/GarminContact-US Thank you -MR
