Thanks and you're welcome! I have used mine for 11 months now primarily with Awesome Golf and GSPRO. It is a great entry level launch monitor that is affordable as well.
Can u still get gs pro with garmin r 10 ? Apparently I need to run it through an interface ? I just spent all this money on a gaming oc an projector. An ive heard mix feedback. Thx Like your vids sn your set up
Awesome video lots of really really good information for future reference. Could you maybe get rid of the background music music… there’s nothing necessarily wrong with it. It’s just distracting from what you’re saying.
Thanks for watching and commenting. There is a reason for the background music. It's entirely necessary unfortunately. I may not have lowered the level on that track for the video for this one.
@@Break100Golf no worries- I just like your videos and found that one hard to concentrate on in some parts. Would rather just listen to you narrating and commenting.
Do any of these golf software packages need online access to work? Two reasons I ask... I use an Android phone, but thinking that I would bring either my Pixel Tablet or iPad to the range for the bigger screen (they are WiFi only devices). Also, if any of these companies stopped doing business and shut off their servers, would it still work?
Yes some of them need online access to work. Some to check if you are subcribed and to check and provide software updates and course updates. GSPro does require it for example. Although the Garmin R10 is NOT supported officially by GSPro. Some of The GC 2019 courses can be played offline according to some users. Awesome Golf must be online. There are a multitude of answers to this question that I would defer to the software company. I doubt the Pixel tablet will work with any of the options I went over. You will need a PC for Creative Golf, TGC 2019, and GSPro. E6 will need a PC or an Ipad only. Iphone, Ipad, Android phone, and PC will work with Awesome golf along with the phone connector app ONLINE. I cannot answer the "stopped doing business" question. That is something you will need to contact the individual company directly.
I'm doing a DIY sim in my basement, but due to celing height and my height I will only be able to hit irons, so really I'm thinking the native garmin app will be fine since I'm really only going to be able to hit the "range" and not play full rounds
Based on comparing my real world golf shots, it's accurate enough for me. My swing path, angle of attack, club and ball speed etc are close to where they are when I use Foresight with my golf coach. Same thing with Trackman. It's not a $20,000 launch monitor. You are not going to get perfect numbers if that's what you want.
Half correct! You only get them with IOS. You get nothing for Android which is what I have. Probably why I forgot to mention it. Thanks for letting everyone know. Much appreciated! Cheers!
Does purchasing the R10 give you access to 5 free courses and driving range on E6 app on Ipad or Iphone? Or do I still need to buy some sort of subscription from E6?
It used to. 5 or 6 courses. It is not available for Android. From what I understand it just shows up in the Garmin Golf App if you have IOS. I am unsure of it is still offered
