Garmin RV 770 LMT-S GPS: Features and walk-through for RVers 

Thank you! I was looking at auto navigation but you demonstrated some features that I wasn't even aware were available. I think it is worth the premium price for my needs.

Garmin needs to have a way of accepting data about roads that it doesn't know about from users or road corrections. They could issue Garmin points toward supplied information toward Garmin products in return.

I still haven't been able to find out how to Save an address (in the Red Heart). Also, how can I add the RV Parky, Ultimate CG, Thousand Trails and Passport America apps to my Garmin? I know some of them are already on the RV-780.

Questions: - If pulling a (flatbed, car-hauler, boat, etc.) trailer with a Class-A motorhome is there some way for the 770 to figure the trailer into it's vehicle setup considerations? - When offering ideas for places to stop (gas stations, restaurants, etc.) does the GPS consider vehicle setup? Many gas stations are great for a Class C but not so accessible for a larger rig and/or pulling a trailer.... Thanks!

Will it show you rv dumps on the route? Finding dump sites is a priority to me. Garmin support says it will.

Nice walk through. What is the purpose of it having propane tanks in the rv settings ? Are there roads you cant travel with a propane tank ? LOL

The Garmin doesn't seem to work correctly in New York, it keeps putting my trailer on roads I can't be On, like parkways.

I also have this gps 770rv. The most frustrating thing to me is the voice command. Over half the time it comes up with something that is not even close to what I said. I've even tried it in my house so there is no background noise and I don't have a thick accent. Example- I asked for Ruby Cafe and it found Frullati. I ask for Fatz, it finds Sossal(occasionally finds Fatz, hit or miss). For "Camping world it finds "Tien.......(don't remember the rest of the word, but you get the drift).

Great review! Questions: 1. Gas stations along route, are they ALL RV friendly? Also, anyway to determine type of gas? ie: Diesel? 2. I'm assuming it auto re-routes you if you miss your exit or street? 3. How UP-to-Date is ramp closures/road closures. Currently using CoPilot and hate it! ramp was closed on our route and NO warning. Thank God it re-routed us, but that was stressful. We're Newbies, so any "mishap" along the way stresses out the Navigaor (me)!!! 4. Live Traffic updates??? Wondering do you know if big difference between 770 and 780 models is 780 has live traffic within the gps itself therefore, no cell phone link required? And, more importantly would this also mean NO CELLULAR service required? Traffic alerts only work if you have cellular service which I can see being a BIG potential problem is some areas of USA. Thanks again!

There a problem with Garmin January 2019 software upgrade related to New York, in which it places you on road you can't go on when you're in the 5th wheel mode.

Question on gas stations. Can you put in fuel preference like Diesel? So many stations without diesel and would like to see only those with diesel.

Is there a setting to show nearby propane stations for filling propane tanks for an RV?

Are the alerts all audible alerts? I don't like bells and whistles going off when i am driving. I would prefer a colour change or something else visual? Can I only set for A driving vehicle or a motorhome? What if I am towing a fifth wheel which of course has a different profile than the truck I am pulling it with.

I really like this unit , but on Amazon its getting a lot of bad reviews , mostly on the navigation it uses. Wrong (long) routes, taking campers over low weight bridges , etc. I am thinking most of the time its operator error . You really seem to know a lot about this unit , and wondered if this was ever a problem with you ?

Hi.. Mine is a normal van on the outside, (stealth campervan) is there a way to add a new vehicle type? The campervan mode forces me to campervan sights and far away street parking..

How do I power it on? It's plugged in but seems to have a mind of its own and will power on when I'm not paying attention but not when I want it to...I'm in the house trying to set it up, my grandparents gave me this 1 when they upgraded
