Love this garmin I’m using it on my jet ski perfect not too big not too small can read the letters read the depth is most important for me on a JetSki.
Yep. I have seen some larger fish show up on the CV where the traditional showed a lump on the bottom but mostly its for structure. I am still happy I spent the extra for the upgrade but I really could have gotten away with the base model for 90% of my fishing. Thanks for watching.
@@seabass22 They do, but you have to look at both images and kinda merge the information in your mind. It would be nice if they found a reasonable way to merge the two onto one screen, since one is great for fish and the other great for structure.

It is a very good sounder but I can't figure out why the hell Garmin did not provide ANY possibility of data connectivity for this device. Neither a simple waypoint nor any track are possible to be transfered to any PC or mobile device.
Yeah that does kind of suck. After using it for a few months and mapping many rivers and lake as well as marking hundreds of waypoints I have no way to ever transfer that information to a new unit. For the money it is still a lot of features though. I guess something has to be left out.
@@AllTheHobbies : I strongly agree, I think it is a marketing thing to force us to buy a superior model as Striker 7 which can transfer data to Active Captain app , but the 4" screen size is rather convenient for my kayak
Is there any way you could tell me how long the transducer is? I’m considering getting one and I wanted to make sure that it will fit on the bottom of my trolling motor.
Just went out and measured it. The trolling motor mounting plate that came with it is 5 7/8". The transducer is a little smaller around 5 3/4". This is for the GT20-TM transducer.
@@KodakX731 Yes. They sell a couple different packages for this unit though. This one is the Striker Plus 4cv. The 'cv" stands for ClearVu and has this transducer. There is another one with a dual beam transducer which would be different than this one.
@@browntrout611 Near the bottom for bigger fish or schools. If it was smaller fish or right on the bottom I dont think it was seeing fish that I know were there since I would still catch some fish when nothing was showing.
