I only have one question, would the extended battery life of the Enduro 2 be worth choosing it over the Tactix 7 pro? I’m about to buy a Garmin watch and this is the only hang up I have. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
I have the instinct 2 solar and I think you might be able to remove some of the setting option, like the touch screen option using your garmin connect app.
Have you noticed that scratches tend to appear around the charging port? I had a scratch on my new Fenix and didn’t want the exposed metal to possibly rust from sweat. I might be overreacting too lol
I am looking at it right now and I don't see any scratches at all. I charged it 4 times in total since now. I have no scratches anywhere on the back of my DLC Titanium Tactix 7 pro solar watch. (Thank you for your comments)
My real-life battery performance is about 22 days with 40min to 26min work outs per day. But I don't wear the watch when sleeping most of the time and sometimes I take off the watch when I feel it may become damage such as home improvement projects. But if I was going on a camping trip then I would never take if off until I got back home. You need to wear the band that came on the watch and not the nylon band when working out or sleeping for accurate readings! The nylon band allows for gaps between the watch and the wrist!!
I tried switching bands for a few of my exercises and I still preferred the nylon over the rubber. But the rubber band has those spacers for air flow. I understand you’re the concept but at least I give it a good try. Thank You for your comments!
Nope, my buttons are functioning great! I hope they keep going. Sorry to hear you are running into issues with your physical buttons on the smart watch. You should contact support and see what they say... and let me know how it goes? (Thanks for your comment)
@@elseanwells I did contact support. And they basically said it’s not a problem. They say the new watches uses a new type of oil for the buttons and that it will get better overtime. I’m a bit skeptical but I’ll wait and see.
Thanks for your comments... I still love this watch as it not flashy and no one knows how capable this watch really is compare to normal everyday telling the time watches out there. Happy to here you made the same choice as me and hope you are still enjoying it...
Update firmware 13.22 : Garmin has changed the backlight behavior : " The new backlight behavior is the intended result for the v13.22 software update. For example - the backlight will turn on when: - Acquiring GPS to start an outdoor activity or when acquiring GPS to save a location waypoint. - Viewing the Map whether by itself as a feature or within an activity. - Going into the Sunrise & Sunset glance and viewing the Sun position menu on the map." the behavior described above has been introduced by Garmin with update to 13.22, and can NOT be disabled by the user ! The switching on of the lighting in the above mentioned cases is inevitable and can NOT be deactivated by the user. This is also confirmed by Garmin. With this, Garmin has made this actually tactical watch unusable for the military, because there is no option to disable this. I look at the map in the field and give away my position by the light. Life threatening. The problem is discussed in the forum, and Garmin's statement: "This backlight behavior is intentional and we have no plans to change it.
Well, After looking at the box in fine print. It appear to be "Made in Taiwan" and it also states the cable is "made for Taiwan, China or Myanmar"...
