The parallel to marineford was crazy. Luffy, a pirate, dropped in from the sky on an admiral ship to marine headquarters. Garp, a marine, dropped in from the sky on an admiral ship to pirate headquarters. *Chefs kiss
probably because if he had froze koby he would shatter to the ground and die also that would enrage garp Maybe or garp is just smart and leaves the island
Garp falling feet first, with his arms crossed, grinning ear to ear, after decimating half the island might just be the coldest moment I've seen in anime. People just forget that he was essentially Rogers equal, ofc he would be a fucking menace.
Galaxy Impact looked INCREDIBLE BRO, then the way this man DROPPED TO EARTH WITH HIS ARMS FOLDED 😭😭 If he called himself rusty after casually leveling an island this man in his prime was an absolute menace
@@michalvrabec454 idk honestly they’re were a lot of heavy hitters during Roger’s era but we definitely have to see those fights in God Valley soon 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Animation made it clearer...to make his ship fly..he made a midair punch at the sea water ...causing the water to catapult towards the island! ( I thought in the manga, he went under water to TOSS that ship)
@@phatmanNumba1nah it was obvious in the manga, u see him standing on the rear end of the ship and launching it that way. they changed it a lil in he episode
Again this goes to show that the only pirate who could go through Garp to get to Ace in Marineford...was probably only Luffy. Garp couldn't bring himself to strike his beloved grandson down
@@HieuLe-fi2ri to be fair. the only reason garp didnt become an admiral is because he hates the celestial dragons too much to ever want to follow their orders directly
Agree that's the best way for Garp to rescue his grandson. Just imagine if Garp and Whitebeard fight each other during marineford war they can destroy the whole island. Garp has strong haki can destroy a town in one shot and Whitebeard has a df power can destroy world.
All this power and might, but the old man brags that his strength has been diminished?!! Madness...the anime presented the arrival and strength of Garp in the best possible way, produced and directed at a very high level! Akainu at Marineford was seriously lucky
Garp at 78 years of age has enough power to destroy a town in a single punch and split mountains in half, in his prime he must have been an absolute fucking menace, truely this speaks to not just how powerful this man Garp is but also how powerful Roger might have been too. 10/10
@@goddessyamato5238 you’re yapping! He never struggled against a single one of them😂. They had to gang him up including Aokiji. They took him down simply because garp took the attack for Koby.

Akainu walked off a point blank quake punch from an enraged Whitebeard…( the same punch which resulted in the destruction of marineforde) Garp will hurt and injury him… but he’s not keeping Akainu down either
I like how they depicted the galaxy behind him. Like, he expanded a ring of energy behind him to create a 'lens' or 'door' through the atmosphere. Just... sublime.
@@jamesadvincola9687 He clearly does. That was a punch of pure haki...Logia users are not tanking this type of attack straight up. Galaxy Impact would've easily killed Akainu and whoever else was near him(pirates and marines). Akainu couldn't even handle Whitebeard who had over 100 wounds, sick and near death before he even touched Akainu...he would do absolutely nothing to Garp who has ACOC and haki of this level. 1-2 hits max and Akainu is done for.
@@Rodikaku65 recency bias is a thing lol. And you’re severely underestimating Akainu who was still standing at the end after taking those hits from Whitebeard.
@@jamesadvincola9687 Whitebeard had over 30+ wounds, was sick and near death before he ever got to Akainu and yet he still destroyed Akainu with 2 Devil fruit attacks and 1 normal punch...Garp was not sick, injured or anything. Plus he was 2 years younger. He would've folded Akainu worse than what Whitebeard did to him and that's a fact. Both Whitebeard and Garp have touched Pirate King level of power. Akainu is not even close to a near death Yonko...what would he do? Akainu hasn't displayed any forms of advanced haki besides maybe Ryou. He is most definitely not stopping an advanced conquerer's haki attack of this level from Garp. Remember what Kaido said, "Haki transcends all". Why? Because him, Big Mom, Shiki, Whitebeard and multiple other strong people lost to Roger and Garp who straight up use Haki alone. This Galaxy Impact would've been twice as big in Marineford since Garp was in rage mode. Only thing protecting Akainu was Sengoku who is the only other marine to be of similar level that Roger said was an actual threat. It's crazy for anyone to think Akainu is doing anything when the last two fights he had was against Aokiji(who injured Akainu from his torso up to his neck) and Whitebeard who almost killed Akainu even though he was massively nerfed. Aokiji is not Garp level and Whitebeard clapped him in 3 attacks. Akainu has 0 chance
Bucaneer are giants who are much smaller then Elbaf Giants. They are 22ft tall like Kuma. Garp is 10ft tall like Roger. He is just tall like Doffy. Joyboy is a Bucaneer and likely same size as Kuma. Bucaneer in real world were a type of pirate that operated in Caribbean. One piece Joyboy is based on real life Carribean Folklore Joyboy. Also Joyboy in One oiece the first pirate. It would make sense for him to be a Bucaneer. Also Joyboy silhouete shows he is much bigger then Luffy when comparing him next to the Giant Robot. He was almost the Robot head size, Luffy wasn't half that. One piece also main theme is inherited wills. World Government tried to wipe up the entire Bucaneer race because of a crime they commited in void century, likely Joyboy being from Bucaneer race, thats why the story of Joyboy was passed down to Kuma & why Kuma wanted to become Joyboy. Roger who isn't a Bucaneer inherited Joyboy will, so its not lineage or down to race. They then tried to wipe out Roger lineage to wipe him too, with Ace surviving because of his mother strong will. Ace execution was to wipe out the last of Roger. Luffy being the one who inherited Roger will not Ace, with World Governement thinking its lineage based. Will of D. is not bound by race too with Joyboy as a Bucaneer race (likely) is a part of the D clan. Saul was also part of D clan with him being a 70ft+ tall and same size as an Elbaf giant. Clover, Vivi, Law, Blackbeard are also members of D Clan.
cap i hate how you cant even tell he used conquerors haki in the manga you can clearly see blacl and red lightning but here it looks likle he shot a laser beam from his hand😂😂😂🤦♂️
Also Kolby holding on to the chain could symbolize his weakness and how he seems himself and how he will allow things to hold him down that he CAN break but chooses not too…but still helped out all he could…Respect for what’s coming IMO
Right before she was frozen, Hibari said that there was something strange about the ball and chain that they couldn't break it. And well-- Blackbeard already knows Koby is an extreme bad ass and gave him credit for it at Amazon Lily. In fact, he took the deal of taking one Koby prisoner over dozens of Marines in the first place. Why even put the ball and chain on him unless it was made of something special?
This has to be some of the crazy gas and hype toei has ever given a character and a singular attack. Akainu is lucky sengoku stopped this Absolute monster of a man.
akainu would've dealt with garp just fine,mf took point blank hit from an enraged wb and was fine,he fought kuzan for 10 days when kuzan defeated garp in a few hours, garp is a monster but so is fucking akainu. He's probably the strongest individual fighter in one piece right now as we speak. Recensy bias is a real thing lol.
Whats an even crazier concept is that after seeing this Sengoku SHOULD be relative to Garp in strength after seeing this from Garp it really makes me want to see what the mythical zoan budah user Sengoku is capable of when he goes all out.
That day Sengoku just didn't save Akainu.. he saved the whole Marineford. This is not even angry Garp. He was 2 years younger and angry. Can't imagine what angry Garp would've done at Marineford
This is the reason Sengoku didn't want Garp to fight at marineford. He would of gone all out and destroy it like he did when he fought Shiki in the past. Thats why Sengoku told he to do nothing with Ace
Prime garp need a spinoff series cause ain’t no fucking way , bro punched the air so hard the winds favored in his direction like wtf and this is him in his old stage lmao lord and this the guy used to punch luffy at 8 years old lmao
garp galaxy level confirmed? 😂😂😂 "slow and old" btw, kol 🤡 garp walking like a gigachad and shanks walking like he's in the edit, seems like toei is giving extra sauce where it deserves to be
@@goddessyamato5238 Ace and Luffy made their choice in becoming pirates. Garp being as conflicted as he was, was NOT as unjustifiable as you make it to be. He told them time and time again to not become criminals and to join the navy. I cannot fathom how people expect Garp, the Hero of the navy, to betray the navy to save his Yonko Commander grandkid (and in doing so, destroying morale in the navy and causing even more pirate attacks on the civilians). Garp is not just a strong dude, he's and icon. If he betrayed at Marineford, all kinds of hell would have broken loose.
I loved how this looked.. and I'm kinda happy they still kept it in scale and showed it didn't cover too much of the whole island so strong but still not too outrageous.. but they still make it look incredibly powerful. I wonder if he actually restrained it or was it truly old age
Bro like wtf were those battles like between Garp and Rodger?!? Like my god bro lol both them in their prime? Ain’t no way an island with stood those fights
@@Cr7-and-chill ehhh wasn’t that the same time bro used Cesar Clowns gas bro 💀🙏🏽 just to still get no info on Raizo And first glance it seems like he has Aura but w added context nigga never had Aura 😭🙏🏽
Garp is in a really tough spot now. He has to fight Kuzan, his former student whom he loves and cannot kill, and at the same time, he has to protect EVERYONE and fend off against all the BB pirates and available present commanders.. this is a 1 man army and he is handicapped and off-prime by a mile.
This makes me think a lot about Garp, Dragon and Luffy and I'll explain it. After what happened in Marine Ford, that Ace died Infront of him and he didn't even do anything to save him really weighed on him emotionally. So going all out for Koby was a way of saying he's never going to turn his back on the one he loves ever again(might even die for them 🤷). Not only that, i feel like since he wanted Luffy and Ace to be Marine's and he failed ( he first trained Dragon ( his son)and told him to be a marine, when Dragon joined the marines, he found out that there was no real justice in the marine , i bet he also did an investigation on his own and found out about the Celestial dragon's having slaves, the the holy Knights and the God valley incident, ancient weapons and that the world government wants to sink the whole world (killing everyone, hence what he saw in the Goa kingdom, the World nobles trying to brun the trash while killing the poor, he did say that what's happening here will soon happen around the world , " people can't be thrown away" )I'd Go far as saying he found out about Imu and when he tried confronting Garp about what's really happening, Garp probably brushed it off and said " if the world government didn't exist the world would be much worse" what added more fuel to Dragon was the Ohara incident . The people of Ohara died because they wanted to learn about what happened in the void century, that's when he decided to create the Revolutionary Arm ( I'd Go as far as saying that when Dragon was still a marine he was Akainu's rival, probably that's why he hates him so much or maybe Red dog looked up to Dragon 🤷) see what Garp is doing for Koby, he wants someone who'll "try" and stop Luffy( which will never happen but will be fun to watch him being one shot by base Luffy 🤣💯)( maybe at least have one pupil he trained and didn't go against his wishes(and fail)because we all know that he trained Dragon ,Luffy, Ace, Sabo and Kuzan yet they all turned on him. Koby is the only on who carried his wish ( even his son and grandson turned on him). Another reason why i think Dragon was never present in Luffy's childhood was that Garp didn't want Luffy to know that his Father was the worst Criminal in the world and has an army of his own that opposes the world government head on so him and Dragon made a bet that he can do what he failed to do on Dragon, that is to make him a marine, well we all know what happened there. We can describe it with two words "Red hair"( he didn't only fail dismally his very on grandson has challenged the world government, punching celestial dragon's taking down emperor's and becoming one at the age of 19 )I'm guessing Dragon new Garp would fail in that too that's why he never interfered in Luffy's upbringing. We all know what will happen when Garp and Kuzan fight and i don't think Dragon's gonna care if he dies or not judging the fact that Him and Garp know what's happening in the holy land yet he does nothing but still is regarded as the hero of the marines, (but what about those slaves who are suffering), I'm thinking what will happen when Luffy also finds out that Garp new what was happening yet said nothing and at the same time he was told he's being trained to be a "full fledged Marine" well in the end this is One Piece, Goat Anime, Oda keeps us on our feet, i could be wrong but this is my opinion in seeing this episode.
Well, first-- please learn to use paragraph breaks. Second-- you are being presumptive that Koby is being set up to just fail pathetically. If someone is going to save the world, it should be someone humble with strict morals who both tries and succeeds in being a real hero and admirable person... and not a greedy, gluttonous pirate who leeches off others, follows no rules, thinks themself above everyone else and is only ever helpful because of purely self-serving reasons. If there weren't big evil bad guys everywhere Luffy goes for him to fight and thus be useful-- his journey would either have ended real quick or he would have had to resort to doing more and more evil things to get by. A pirate deciding what the fate of the world is, even a "good" pirate like Luffy would be terrible. So there is no reason to think Garp wants someone like Luffy to decide the fate of the entire world nor that Koby can't find a way to stop Luffy from getting the One Piece. And it's already well set up that what Luffy actually wants isn't the One Piece at all, he just thinks that getting the One Piece and becoming Pirate King are the path to getting what he actually wants.
Brago this is the same guy that teamed up against Gol D. Roger to take down the most dangerous noturious pirate group in history, ROX lol. Yeah i would say he's above shanks at this point.
Kamusari is a focused sword attack designed for one opponent, whereas Galaxy Impact is massive punch/fist attack designed for wide area maximum destruction. Both have CoC-coated haki attacks but both have different purpose.
@@CameronkAK Did you notice how massive his bubble fist appeared in the manga compared to his body, which covered all of the plaza? That's because it was meant to illustrate the extent of the impact and devastation. The anime simply expanded on this by showing more details about the casualties and destruction.
@@damz3032 The scale was already as massive but the anime simply expanded the details of the destruction even further, Stop complaining unless you expected the anime to be nothing more than moving manga panels
@@f.n8581 lol, nah for whitebeard to have such insane power with haki and that fruit at the same time says he is no.1, not to mention the physical strength to back that if he didnt have either
The haki explosion right before he jumps off the ship and that landing pose was cold af, GOAT. I think all the budget of this episode went in that punch.
still though, hot take, garp doing galaxy impact to these pirates is equivalent to luffy uses bajrang gun to fodder navy.. thats too much, he didnt have to do that much
Define AURA ME:- WARPPPPPPPPPPPP For me Prime Garp is Top 1, for me Monkey D family stands as the most supreme family from all the D and all families in one piece, They are also the strongest Coc users for me I have a feeling Joyboy is very closely related to them after chapter 1122, when Emeth was suprised by Luffy D in his name
