Yep, Also, Dorry And Broggy being the captains of the Giant Pirates, and Giants being regarded as the strongest army/military asset, combined with what they did on Egghead and their affiliations goes a long way. Similar thing with Boa (1.6 bill) and the Kuja warriors.

Most of time it does, but there are some false hype bounties or potentially dangerous. Regarding to the potentially dangerous, think of BB. He wasn't the most powerful, but he is sneaky and ambitious.
Want to point out Hajrudin punched a man weighing 10000k tons so hard he rocketed up to the birdcage and hit that shit hard. Broke an arm and a knee too when he did. I'm sure he's made himself a lot stronger since then as well.

I think that's on purpose because remember the only reason the crew didn't immediately go after Vivi is because they don't have a lead. Zoro said as much, but now they have one. Luffy’s sense of good people btw is not as perfect as some people think it is, he called queen a good guy just because he freed him from his handcuffs in Udon, and didn’t suspect Pudding or Kanjuro at all.😊
Yea, but isn't that cherry picking? He never actually considered Queen a good guy (we NEED to understand what a gag is). Pudding is a prisoner, but is a good person. And Kanjuro was an actor, and plays into the entire meta narrative of Wano being a stage play. None of the actors in Wano had their cover blown until they took off their "costume." Like, I wouldn't suddenly change Luffys characterization just because of these three specific examples lol. I'd also add that Luffys power is "seeing the good" in people, and not being telepathic towards people's true intention.

My thoughts for what’s to come is despite looking menacing and malevolent, Loki will actually be good and make friends with Luffy!! I think that it was someone else who murdered Lokis dad and framed Loki for the deed. Maybe but even Jarul would be barely over 400 years old if he's still alive. 344/345 years old for giants seems to be the point where their old age hinders their ability to recover from injuries by a significant amount (Jorul DIED from his injuries inflicted by Big Mom due to his old age hindering his ability to recover). A giant would probably die from old age long before hitting anywhere near 800. The closest we can get to something like that is the fact that Oars died like 500+ years ago at the age of around 160 so if we really stretched out that 500+ to 650 years ago as being the time of his death, we could suggest that he was a kid during the void century.
Yes the legendary devil fruit that is passed down is "human human fruit"aka gomu gomu....so basically govt gets ahold of it and thereafter shanks knew about it and stole ...since elbaf prays for sungod this is the highest possibility

100 years ago the pirating landscape was so different from nowadays that 100 Million back then was already incredibly high. This is pre-Roger and before any of the other big pirate names we know of. This is why they are LEGENDARY
@@GorbonM this assumes that he was talking to 400+ year old giants as a kid which is a lil doubtful. Jarul is the only giant we’ve seen over 400 and even being in his 340’s was enough that people like Jorul couldn’t survive normal battle injuries. It’s totally possible still but ehhhhhh
His eyes are most likely covered due to damage or poison (in Norse mythos Loki was tied to a tree where a snake's venom dripped into his eyes for a long duration of time), and he most likely has no fruit powers at all and is a fraud since he straight up said that he is the sun god (meaning the legendary fruit passed down was Luffy's fruit before it somehow found its way out of Elbaph).

I think I may be basic. I was thinking the darkness stuff was more literal and meant to be taken in tandem with the idea of a legendary fruit. Meaning, the legendary fruit was the Yami Yami no Mi and Loki's actions resulted in it no longer being contained to the Royal Family/Elbaf.
Nahhh, you steered in the wrong direction somewhere along that chain of thought. Loki flat out revealed what fruit people think he ate at the end of the chapter; he called himself the Sun God, meaning the *mythological fruit* mentioned passing down the royal family of Elbaph was Luffy's Nika fruit but that it somehow got out of the country and Loki is just a fraud.
man i know the joke with zoro is that he always gets lost but i feel people forget the second part of that joke. that zoro always ends up being where he needs to be by the time hes needed or the action goes down and he needs to take someone down. letting zoro wonder he gets lost in a normal persons sense but never gets lost on his fated path
Loki has some heavy parallels to Doffy (royalty, excessively chained up, ruined/will ruin an entire island/country, sticking tongue out and smiling, always yelling about the future)
My theory for Loki's devil fruit is that he is indeed a God, but not the Sun God, rather the fruit he ate is that of the *Earth God.* The word "earth" has an incredibly broad usage in english, it can mean earth as in the _surface layer_ of planet earth, earth as distinguished from _sea and sky,_ earth as in the act of providing a grounded outlet for an electrical conductor, earth as in _planet earth,_ and could even be earth as in the realm of mortals, distinguished from _heaven and hell_ So if the King of the Giants have possessed the fruit of the Earth God for generations and if we assume all broad definitions of the word *earth* are applicable, that would indeed make the giants the greatest warrior race in One Piece IMO and would make someone like Loki truly capable of "destroying the world"
Loki and kaido both knowing about joyboy is a good example of hearing stories and believing how you could be the chosen one by drawing parallels to oneself. Whereas the true person that was chosen as the new joyboy did not know about joyboy's existence therefore his actions are not biased into acting due to being chosen. He is truly free from the legend of joyboy not affecting how he came to be the new joyboy and he does not care about the history of the previous joyboy and only acts the way he wants to which embodies freedom even more

It's possible saying that he is going to "Destroy the world' is a red herring to make us instantly think he's evil. But also fatricide in one piece isnt really something a "good" character does (unless it turns out the previous king was a dck)
Can’t believe we finally here! 🙌🏽 2 things I loved about this chapter that were very low key was, of course, one being the “X” on Luffy’s arm. Now we understand why Oda split up the Straw Hats the way he did, since those who would have seen the X would have known about Vivi. Straight up 3D2Y vibes love it. The other thing I wanted to point out is that the giants said their bounty posters are too small to read. We are finally going to get a reunion with Robin and Saul in this arc but I always wondered, why didn’t Saul know about Robin’s where abouts after the time in Ohara? Perhaps Saul wasn’t able to read the bounty posters himself and thus didn’t know if Robin was okay throughout this time.
Did everyone forget about the female giant the crew met that had the tiny tiny no mi which is when we got a first foreshadowing that luffy would have a giant form when she went inside him tiny then grew to full size (even tho her target was the enemy boss they were fighting against?
Seen some post the other day that was posted two years ago, relating to fenrir mythology“He’s a wolf so large that when he opens his mouth, his lower jaw touches the earth and his upper jaw the sky. He’s strong enough to break free from any restraint not made from literally impossible ingredients. He’s a danger to the gods themselves, and will devour Odin during the battle of Ragnarok.” I just found it interesting how he is chained in restraints where he cant break out and in an area with giant wolves
It is interesting to me that Luffy approached Loki so carelessly. We know that Luffy reads people’s/animals intent and he couldn’t know that this strong being was chained up and yet, he still went to investigate, like a child smelling cookies being baked. I think Loki is misunderstood much like Oden was. I love how Oda introduces a character through rumor and slowly peels the characters story like an onion. Several layers that sometimes makes you cry. Can’t wait for more Elbaph!
Dorian Brogi‘s bounties are also high, not just cause of inflation, but they were gone for 100 years assumed to be dead probably and then the first time they come back on the scene that everyone sees their own egg head fight makes sense to me, especially if they know Harden is the prince of Albaf and the Harden is part of the Luffy grand Fleet
I think Sun God is a title like King of the Pirates, my theory is that it works like Doomfist from OW, so Nika was the first Sun God, herald of liberation, then Joyboy was the second Sun God but he failed, and now Loki is the third Sun God, harbinger of destruction. This would only play into the roles so much more cause Kaido, like Joyboy, failed, Luffy liberates like Nika, and Loki, destroys like the sun
I think that gomu gomu no mi is the devil fruit that king of elbaf posses and WG killed king or loki's father for that DF and put the blame on Loki and from that incident Loki intended to destroy the world ( its my theory)
That's a very solid theory, only question left would by why the Marines took the gomu gomu no mi to the East Blue (assuming that's where Shanks took it from them)

It makes sense why the Giant Warrior Pirates exist...because the country is closed off...just like Wano. This may even further explain why Joyboy became a pirate...the Great Kingdom was probably closed off too.
The thing nobody is thinking about is that they had 100,000,000 berries for a bounty 100 years ago, that was basically 1 billion back then so the bounty boost is realistically only about 800 thousand.
The subtle hint from Vivi to the Strawhats is great, but the fact that they're picking up on it specifically when the entirety of the Arabasta crew is missing irks me differently, but i suppose it's setting up the plot point for later.

You also gotta think about the fact that Oda only planned on one piece lasting for 5 years. If he knew it would take 20+ years to write this story then we probably wouldn’t have met Dory and Brogy so early on and they’d be a lot stronger when we met them. Same with crocodile. Narratively speaking they were supposed to be very strong but because oda kept adding to the story we saw a lot of really important strong characters too early.
I think darkness is a very important info. We kind of know BB used Darkness in some way to steal WB DF, it give reasoning behind his pursuit of the darkness fruit. The giant also say Loki chose the path of darkness and killed his father and Stole his fruit.
I know this might seem weird but I keep seeing oda drawing the clouds with the swirl like luffy’s hair in gear 5th. I feel it has a significance to the sun god, because the light boils the water and makes it into a formless to a form, in a sense I feel the sun god is the light that brings life. That’s why luffy gear 5 can create anything he imagines through the clouds of his hair and also form things from light surrounding him. Just my little theory lol

Maybe the Void century war ended in Elbaf. History and stories being a big thing for Oda, maybe to the kingdoms a prolonged war with the Giants could have been seen as the OP world equivalent to a prolonged war in the Pacific with Japan in WWII. One large show of force by the kingdoms to make the Giants agree to a treaty or a choice of general isolation. It could've been even larger than it is currently, and going all out with one of the ancient weapons to destroy a large part of it and its land crumbing down into the ocean being the reason the oceans rose so high. Chaos from pirates spreading, fighting, could stir them out to take part in it all.
I can see loki being an oden-esqie character. A person who cares little for what his fellow island's men think and has a heart of gold underneath a rough exterior and reputation.
That mark thing made a lot of sence .. that's a message from vivi.. as Robin ; franky ; brook and jimbe were not part of the crew they didn't know the importance.. if any other strew hat were there they would have known in an instent.. may be that's the reason they are split in this way

I saw a theory on tik tok of someone theorizing he is a shapeshifter like devon but on a limitless scale that allows him to become anything he lays his eyes, even the sun god. This would explain how "luffy" will destroy fishman island. We could have loki using gear 5 in a fight against luffy, as "luffy", showcasing the full powers of the sun god and possibly defeating him and escaping to do unknown evils that would support the image Morgans is trying to create of luffy being a bad person
p.s. shapeshifting supports the trickster theme that loki represents and perfectly fits the story because it maintains the mystery of the story while strengthening the duality of good and evil within the story
Guys, I think its not accurate for us to expect huge power levels from giants just because they're giants, apart from that, they're just regular people who are just big. They shouldn't have anything anomalyic to their strenght levels apart from being bigger than regular people. Same might go with Loki.
There's definitely something special about giants besides just raw size. They live longer than humans do on average and their proportional strength seems a lot higher on average as well. Everyone and their grandma in One Piece wants giants in their armies, experiments that can successfully make people giants, experiments that can make people ancient giants like what happened with the numbers on Punk Hazard,etc. The fact Buccaneers have giants blood in their DNA and this clearly impacts their interesting hybrid traits also means there is something special beyond "giants just big lmao".
