Does Garrett still think he was cheated? When will he play on stream again? What is Robbi up to?

I think one of the most compelling things that I heard that leads me to believe she cheated is right after the hand her and Garrett are arguing and she says "I put you on ace high" and Garrett responds with "why call with jack high then" and Robbi literally has no response, starts stuttering and the says "because you didn't have shit" I truly believe he was cheated

I totally agree. Just the hand alone, people do dumb things and make bad calls. But her explanation is what makes me believe she cheated. Along with that story about some employee who had access to hole cards stealing $15k from her. As if taking his cut in anger after Robbi gave Garrett the money back.

she was obviously flustered and didnt want to admit she misread her hand. shes was talking gibberish all around, clearly shes not a good poker player, but dont mistake that for cheating. she did however say can you beat a pair of threes before the boards ran out, and that right there is as far into it as you need to look

We’ve all been thru all the arguments before. I’m 100% sure she cheated. She played 3x on HCL. First sesh she was terrible(think she was testing signals from Bryan) and still +2k. But the manner, she played totally different. Then sesh 2-3(+250k not include GMan 140k) totally different, now stalling, playing really usual lines. So the argument that she’s a noob, doesn’t know how to play yet she basically +400k at table of Ivey, Andy, Garrett? Lol. And the proof is there. There was a hand maybe 15-20 min prior to J4. GMan Q5, Robbi Jx. GMan flopped trips, turn boat; bet big post flop, then bigger on turn. Robbi was gonna call w J high. On the face didn’t make sense at all, but she ended up folding. However, Robbi confessional spoke about this hand she mentioned GMan made his hand on turn. Problem is NO ONE knew that except GMan and ppl in production(stream is on delay). So from time of previous hand to J4, find the device/person who relayed that info(ie Bryan) that’s your co-conspirator(add Rip).

She received an award because a huge portion of society doesn't care about the truth, they only care about the idea of "sticking it to the man," and then it only compounds itself when they believe the saying in its literal form. Most people, and media, dont care about the truth, they only care about the fight. As long as they can feel they are fighting for something, its all that matters. Does the bull care where it charges? It puts its head down and runs forward out of pure anger, regardless of its direction, or the danger it might face, even if it means a lance to the neck. All reason has gone out the door, and only the fight matters.

The way the hand played out alone had me leaning about 60/40 in favor of her having cheated. All of the other coincidental events ranging from Brian(HCL employee) moving his seat for a better view of the hole cam, to him stealing $15k from her stack, to her not wanting to press charges all shift that percentage even further to 85/15 in favor of her having cheated.

If anyone thinks there wasn’t cheating here and collusion with the others at the table that night they are silly. So many things don’t add up and all of a sudden Robbie is gone from cash games after getting WHACKED and losing every session I watched her play after that day, specifically at Doug’s card house and not making any plays like that ever again for substantially less money, in fact folding PREMIUM holdings in clear call spots, vs big bets…

Just don't understand how people rationalize that sequence of events that night without assuming cheating. She calls with J high on the turn and is right, gives the money back to Garrett, flip flops in her explanation of the call, has 15k stolen from her by one of the few people at the casino with access to inside info (who she later tries to pretend to not know prior to the hand despite clear social media evidence they knew each other... not to mention his weird statement of apology to her that's all sorts of suspicious), it's disclosed she has a previously unknown backing agreement/affair with Rip, etc... Occam's Razor - the simplest explanation is the most likely, and that explanation is she had some sort of advantaged info on that hand.
@efg1311
@efg1311 7 месяцев назад
I was about to write a similar statement but you hit the nail on the head. I just can’t understand how anyone can watch the footage, plus all of the aftermath in the coming hours, weeks, months after the hand was played and not believe she was cheating. The footage of the hand itself and Robbie’s bizarre behavior and explanations in the immediate aftermath is insanely incriminating. But the fact that HCL did an internal investigation and realized their stream was incredibly compromised, as in, very easy to cheat if one wanted to do so, and the reality that the exact same night an employee of the stream (with a criminal record and the ability to run a cheat because of his role/job at the stream) gets caught stealing $15k from Robbie’s chip stack is just too ridiculous to be a coincidence. Even if none of that was enough to convince someone, how about the fact that Robbi is a horrific poker player which she has proved every single time she’s played in a stream since that night. She’s absolutely not capable of making that call and she’s never done anything remotely close since then to suggest otherwise. There’s only 3 possible explanations here and Robbi making a hero call based on ability as a poker player is 100% not possible. At some point she claimed an excuse of misremembering her hand and “thought she had a pair” is also not possible when you watch the footage and listen to the audio during the hand. So that only leaves one explanation which happens to be the most likely and makes the most sense, she cheated and she had help from others to pull it off.

Everyone acts like she had to know exactly what his hand was to cheat. That's not the case. I believe she just got a signal that says that she's good or not good in a situation. Probably from the guy who ended up taking $15k off her stack later who was able to look at the cards in the control room. It was that guy's job to tip her off, and we know from the investigation that he was desperate for money. There's only so many really big hands in a session and he needed to get paid. He probably isn't getting any money if he didn't tip her off in a big hand and he didn't know if another big hand was going to be available in the session so he went with this one. We don't know if he could even see percentages. He probably just looked at the hands and saw that a Jack is higher than an Eight and he needs to get paid so gave her the signal that she's good. Remember: he has to make the decision on a moments notice and it's not like he had an hour to consider the options or something. Also, he's trying to see the hands and then give the signal that she's good or not while he has to make sure others in the control room don't realize what he's doing so there's added pressure to go with this hand because he might not be able to see the next big hand later if there even is one.

Plausible, but the guy is an idiot to pick this hand. You have to be poker deaf to pick that scenario. How he knows the river and the second river is really about as bad as how Postle knew all the cards before the boards played out. That the control can see all that in advance would make me never want to play live streams again, nor watch hold em streams. I think HCL got caught with their pants down, made this kid the victime because really how could the bosses not know what went down on their own show? If they are that dumb, they probably shouldnt be running the show. To scapegoat a guy to say he owes money and has a bad reputation could apply to half or more of the people iu that casino. I stopped watching Hold Em shows after this. Ill stick to high stakes Omaha shows where this is less likely to happen and the drama is completely removed from these scandals taking place as im watching.

People can claim what they want but your statement is possibly 100% accurate depending on what metric you want to measure. If you want to base it on opinion, then nobody and everybody is going to be wrong and right at the same time. That doesn't matter. However, if you want to base it on specific numbers of who watched the stream leading up to that point and who watched afterwards then I think you could make a strong argument for your claim. I haven't seen the numbers myself specifically so I don't know what was what exactly but I have a feeling that it isn't the same that Garrett has left like you stated. That's obviously my personal opinion at this point because I don't know the numbers but, I think a lot of people have said that they don't feel the same way and I'll bet it has hurt their stream. It's hard to deny when probably one of the number one players at the time is now no longer playing after the whole situation unfolded. Pretty hard to come back from that or deny that it didn't hurt the stream. Sure, now they have players and they are getting other poker Pros to come on and do other things but it still wouldn't even compare to what it would be like if Garrett was still playing or decided to come back. If he decides to come back, that's going to be one of the biggest live stream nights in history more than likely.

It’s so gross how a lot of people have responded to this. And it’s almost like you need to literally catch someone in the act and not only that, you have to catch them in the act and it has to be completely unambiguous. Otherwise it seems nearly impossible to 100% prove someone cheated. Also, all you have to do is see how she has played on stream since that hand. Before that hand she was making all sorts of insane plays. Now she plays like an average super tight 1/2 player. Unfortunately that doesn’t necessarily “prove” she cheated, but it’s at least circumstantial evidence. But even with the Mike Postle situation where everyone knows he cheated… there still was never 100% proof and I don’t think he even ever had to pay anyone back or anything from what I remember. And he cheated A LOT, and they still weren’t able to 100% prove it. So I doubt you’ll be able to prove Robbi cheated. Even if you have someone come forward, Robbi can just keep denying it and say whoever comes forward is lying. In my personal opinion, I don’t see how it’s possible that she DIDN’T cheat. Seriously, she’s one of the tightest players I’ve ever seen play the game. She NEVER just “goes off intuition”, especially not at the stakes she was playing, she doesn’t even do that at the much lower stakes she plays now. And most non poker people don’t understand how not even the best players in the world would ever make that call with her hand. EVEN IF THEY SAW HIS HAND, they probably still would’ve folded because he had SO much equity and all she had was Jack high. She had to fade the world. And he could’ve easily been bluffing with the best hand. But anyway, no point in getting back into the hand. There’s no way she didn’t cheat in that hand (and most likely much more than that). There’s not much you can say is 100% certain, but I’m 99.99% certain she cheated. And she wins a fkn award for it. Gotta love that pretty woman privilege, smh

This debacle has taught me that a lot of people are really bad at poker. Poker, by nature, is a very predatory game and people don't realize how much cheating actually goes on. The owners of these streams make millions while avoiding any sense of accountability because of plausible deniability. People glorify professional players but this is the kind of thing they have to deal with and I don't think Garrett will ever recover from this. If you're cheating somebody, only an idiot would do it in such a ridiculous fashion for all the world to see. You can tell by her play in general that Robbie is an inexperienced poker player. It's quite possible the adrenaline hit from playing super high stakes on a live stream short-circuited her brain and she hallucinated that calling with Jack high was a great poker play. I think her fried brain may have convinced her she had bottom pair or whatever so she made a hero call. It doesn't matter "when she checked her hole cards" if she's in the middle of an adrenaline black out. And then she's trending on Twitter as a hot poker personality and decides to make a side hustle out of it. She can't tell the truth - "At that moment I was completely brain dead from the big pot adrenaline hit, so I made one of the most fucked up plays in poker history." No no no. She can't build a poker side hustle off of that truth. In the face of such a controversy, have you ever seen a suspected cheater TROLLING their supposed victim while the jury is still out? Never.

I have worked in high-end security and often when someone is caught their first reaction is to give back, or try to give back, what they stole. Her immediate reaction makes me wonder. HOW she was cheating, if she was cheating, is just speculation from me. I suspect signaling with the remote control cameras is a good bet. Add to that her statement "I put you on ace high," and a clearer picture develops. Who would call with J high when convinced you are facing A high. As for her taking a "lie detector" test, I have had many and lied on all of them and always kept my clearance.
@jaredcarrick3468
@jaredcarrick3468 7 месяцев назад
Still doesn’t pass the logic test. First off, she would’ve had to have known exactly what was coming on BOTH rivers (they ran it twice). If she was working with someone to cheat, cheaters prefer spots where making the “suspect” hero call would’ve resulted in the slam dunk automatic win. Her making the “suspect” hero call this hand was with 47% equity in a pure flip spot with still 1 card left to come….. so like I said, unless she or her “cheating partner” knew what the rivers were, this wouldn’t have been a spot organized cheaters would have picked to “gamble” for 6 figures. Secondly, having a team of cheaters requires a roll big enough to pay everyone off who needs to be paid off on the inside (HCL employees) to have that type of an edge and to know what cards are going to come on the flop turn and river before they are dealt, etc. These types of mission impossible heists are subsequently targeting 8+ figure scores, especially in today’s economy, so everyone is happy with the amount they are compensated for playin their part. This was only a $250-$300k pot….. half of it contributed by the “cheating” side. This just doesn’t pass the cheating logic test right out of the gate. I think people have more fun though wanting to believe everything is part of some super secret plan or scheme and just want to run with it, but my gut tells me Robbi had simply seen Garrett on previous streams and knew he always wanted to be the biggest stack at the table specifically so he could attempt to bully people in spots like these where he makes a big draw. I think she was putting him specifically on the hand he had knowing his playing style and decided to gamble. As far as her attempting to give back the money, that felt more to me like someone who was making their first ever appearance on a stream which she wanted to be invited back to play on more frequently, but when she picked off Garrett and he started throwing a fit, she knew how much leverage Garrett has in terms of HCL high stakes games. Most of their biggest streamed games are actually built around Garrett. She knew that if Garrett got too pissed off about it, it would greatly affect her chances of being invited back to the HCL streamed games.

For those below mistakenly saying that she needed to know the runout. You must go and review the hand . Garrett raises to 3k with 8-7c . Robbie looks down at Jc 4h and rather than FOLD mysteriously CALLS, now if she thought he was WEAK and just CAME OVER THE TOP no one would think of cheating BUT SHE DOESN’T SHE JUST CALLS. The flop 10h 10c 9 c GIVES GARRETT AN OPEN ENDED STRAIGHT FLUSH DRAW one of if not the biggest draws in poker and giving him 70% to win hand against her 30% even though technically she’s ahead. Garret down bets to 2500. WHY THE F WOULD SHE CALL WITH J4OFF??? A TEN is definitely in his range right? As well as any two clubs since he’s the original raiser right? The turn brings a 3h which to Garrett looks like the GREENEST LIGHT EVER so he barrels for 10k into an 11.7 k pot and ROBBI RAISES to 20k. Now the RAISE isn’t bad since it could easily be seen as a bluff into perceived weakness. THEN GARRETT SHOVES ALL IN. If she thought he was weak and she raised to exploit SHE HAS NOW BEEN CAUGHT WITH HER HAND IN THE COOKIE JAR and can do NOTHING OTHER THAN FOLD since the ONLY WAY to win is to KNOW that J-4, despite all probabilities to the contrary IS STILL AHEAD.You will note that GARRETT even after the nothing burger 3h IS STILL 53% to her high card J 47%. She puts out a time chip to the incredulity of even the announcer. SHE’S BUYING TIME TO FIND OUT IF SHE’S STILL AHEAD, imo. She asks “Three’s no good”? Making some think she misread her hand. BUT WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU THINK A 3 WOULD BE GOOD given how HE has done NOTHING BUT BARREL????? AND THEN SHE CALLS they run it twice, blanks both times but when Garrett SEES her hand HE KNOWS and you do to if you’re being honest, SOMETHING WAS FKING TWISTED.

Lets just dig through the facts really quickly after the hand. After asking to explain her call she said 'thought you had Ace high' when she called with jack high. Then she offered to pay Garrett the 135k immediately outside if he would keep quiet go back in and play the rest of the game. If these aren't the actions of someone who just got caught cheating and is now attempting to lie and brush it under the rug, then I don't know what is. Absolutely outrageous that people are still taking Robbi's story. Just shows that as long as you got a great pair of tits you can lie, cheat, and steal your way through anything.

And lastly she didn't cheat, THEY cheated...it was a team.

GMan is 💯. The setup for cheating objective was to do it in the big million dollar game . Before the infamous Robbie hand the previous games that had players like beans AKA the Kansas city scammer and others data mining the UIDs on the cards for the stream . HCL is suppose to destroy the cards after every show . Someone figured out they don't throw the cards away and the same UIDs get rotated in the streams and the data miners would eventually know all the cards . Would you like to no more ?

@@Young-ep8ik as far as ways to data mine the UIDs there are quite a few ways to hide a scanner and power it enough . production was also involved in the scheme look at the staff before the robbie hand and who is no longer with HCL . You would have players come in to the games week after week doesn't matter if they win or lose as long as they data mine. Over time you can take the information and figure out which specific deck is in play just by knowing one of the UIDs . Destroying the decks destroys the UIDs and takes the deck out of rotation of the stream . So even if they know all the UIDs they don't exist anymore and the deck is no longer in use . This is a real problem with poker streams that have a low budget as the RFID cards are quite expensive.

I’m not some Garrett fanboy I believe he is a gent and he has won so much because he is a great player but his personality and attitude has got him into the biggest games, the fact is she could have taken him to court and easily got the money back if she was innocent , I truly believe it was one of the first times she cheated at this level or ever and it is why she made it so obvious, I think she was pushed into it and will stand by her story because of the consequences, possibly by dangerous people, there is a lot of money in these games, to assume crime syndicates are involved and threatening people is not far fetched.

one very strong argument that she wasn't cheating is the value of Garrett's hole cards in the hand. He had 2 live cards and and open ended straight and flush draw making him a 53% favourite. If she knew his hand why would she call knowing she was on underdog?
@DeadMoneyDragon.
@DeadMoneyDragon. 7 месяцев назад
Are you serious?? the pot is not awarded based on equity. Yes Garrett had more equity at that point but ROBBI was ahead and only needed Garrett to not hit his outs to win. Equity is only a computation that tells you that if you run a simulation of this hand a hundred times then Garrett would win an average of 53 times, which means ROBBI would win 47 times, it just happened that she one twice out of 2 times in this instance.

If Robbi cheated then she is the most brilliant casino game cheater in the history of the world... She used technology and some kind of communication that so far, no one on the planet has figured out. Not a single investigation has found even a scent of physical evidence against her. What is even more crazy is that she did all of this while live on camera. This footage has been painstakingly investigated and still nothing. Robbi must be the smartest and most sophisticated cheater in history! Amazing! Or............. She didn't cheat! What one of these scenarios do you think is more likely? From my research and impression of her personality, I am going to guess that she is not exactly on the top of the IQ pyramid. In no way does she comes across as a genius that could come up with such a sophisticated and complex scam to cheat Garrett out of money on this pot (Very strange pot to choose to use this brilliant cheating scam on). What is even more crazy is that Robbi, the worlds greatest casino cheat, used this diabolical plan on only this hand and has never used her world class cheating skills again. After a thorough investigation of hours and hours of video footage from Robbi playing poker there has not been another hand she played that was questioned by anyone. I've been around poker for a long time. I don't think she cheated. This incident was under a microscope of the entire poker world which includes a hell of a lot of very smart people not only from poker, but from virtually every profession. I've played poker with Lawyers, Doctors, Detectives, Judges, etc. Not one person could come to a proven conclusion. Then, she would have had to have help from multiple people. Not one person involved in this has slipped up at any point. Not to mention, this lady is obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed. And the guy at the table with her Rip or whatever his name was is obviously no genius either. I still think she thought she had J3 and for some reason couldn't process it. Then when she was confronted, she got flustered. This may have been why she claimed she thought he had A high. Im sure she didn't want to feel stupid and admit she misread her hand. She got intimidated by the shows biggest star and talked into giving the money back. Think about Mike Postle. An even more bizarre situation imo. Anyone who knows poker knows he cheated 100000%. You can say he wasn't caught, but all the evidence is literally there on video. The most insane thing about that situation is that he sat there for a year with a phone between his legs under the table watching the live stream, crushing games like he was Jesus, having the whole thing filmed and streamed so it could be watched after, and nobody who played with him noticed a thing. This is the most insane thing to me. If I was playing at his table, I would have suspicions by the 2nd session wondering WTF this guy is staring at under the table everytime hes in a big decision. The funniest part is he was also no genius, and decided he was going to never make wrong decisions. He was going to hero fold full houses so he can look like god, and 5 bet someones 4 bet with air when they have committed almost their entire stack in a situation where they have to call 90% of the time but of course he can see the cards so he knows they cannot call. If he was smart at all, he would probably still be printing money on Stones Live today. You could say I may be contradicting myself in correlation to the two paragraphs above and you may be partially right. However, If you are a veteran to poker you can only come to one conclusion. Postle 100% cheated and all the evidence is there to watch on film. Robbi? Just some lady calling it off in one hand J high against a massive combo draw in the most scrutinized hand that's ever been played in poker history. Bizarre af? 100% Evidence? 0.
