Appreciate your video. I use an AT Pro, but I switch coils depending on the terrain. The 5x8 is great in creeks and streams and wooded areas, the stock coil works great on the beach, and the larger 15 inch NEL coil is great in parks that aren't too trashy and farmers fields. I think the deepest coin was about a foot and was an indian head. Gotta dig those deep signals!!! GL@HH
For those who do not know the difference in the AT-Gold and AT-Prow. The At- Gold is a little better tuned to finding tiny Gold Nuggets then the AT-Prow but both will find gold. When it comes to Relics,Any kind of Coins,Rings,Jewlery and so on one is just as good as the other.
You hit the nail on the head as far as "the numbas mean nothing on the VDI" When deep the At pro can't ID accurately. But it will find the targets deep.
I love my AT Pro!! I have dug pretty deep but not measured it-- probably 10 inches, for an Indian Head penny. I have found great things with the AT Pro and it is a beast for relic hunting.
I use a discovery 3300, and it can detect a quarter a foot deep . I used the pinpoint and picked up a buried gas line 3 feet deep. I am considering the at pro if nothing else for its waterproof construction so I can keep detecting in light rain and not worrying if i drop it in a creek .
While the shovel makes a nice plug. Most places frown on using one, and will kick you if you are caught with a shovel. But coins seems really nice. I get nothing but zincs, but hey Im digging coins.
I just ordered my new AT Pro from Kellyco. Should be here next Monday. I'm hoping it gives new life to some of the old sites I have pretty much played out. Can't wait for it to arrive.
really cool man ..... I sold the go pros I had found from last years snow bowl hunt....I am not bragging but more like morning the dumb move that I had made. my year so far has been outstanding...I have hunted around 20 hours total and my find`s so far for 2016 is three gold rings one gold pendent and bunch of silver and Tons of Trash..so far. how about you have filmed your hours of hunting I was wondering will you post it on the you tube will be cool I bet.....Tim
Only think about my AT Pro is I wish they would fix their sound circuit to have more volume with out head phones. I am hard of hearing and their sound is not as good as my white or fisher either one. But it goes deeper then either of the other two. Need improvement on their sound and they would have an awesome machine.
I have the AT-Gold but the AT-prow is just as good . I love my machine a lot better then the Whites Spectrum XLT that I was using . I find stuff down 10-12 inches with mine . :)
I like watching your videos but I agree that having the camera on the shovel doesn't work so well while watching. Hope you go back doing it the other way. Keep digging.
please tell me what that is at time mark 00:19 in the upper right corner with the bear symbols surrounded in orange like color...looks like a cub scouts tie coupling of some sort, and from what era if you know please
I try hard not to dig I hate digging kind of, besides half the time the target is very near the surface so I use a pin pointer and a screw driver..... when I carried my full hunting rig it scares the groundskeepers of hunting areas so I just carry my pin point and skinny strong screwdriver.......also I noticed that the at-pro picks up gold rings in a area that was heavy hunted and those rings 8 out of ten are bent badly or damaged and the Whites DFX may go over the bent target and not make much of a sound but the pro goes nuts I have never hunted with my at-pro in any mod other than pro mod and zero at 33 or 34 iron I am at 13 gold rings with the at-pro in less than a year. once you master the AT-PRO this machine will kick ass. I hunt here in Verdi valley Arizona near Sedona AZ...................................
